back to the original topic at hand - McConnell has just shown his true polictician style and performed a U turn over his comments regarding supporting england!  he is now quoted as saying he may support them at home of they were playing another team  'he didnt like'.  what a spinless vote grabbing barsteward!  They all the feckin same!  :008:

OK then you deliberately lied about what a politician said in order to pick a fight. JM has a high place in society. I think that because of this he has a responsiblity. Whoever he supports in private is fine, i just think someone in his postion shouldn't come out making comments that he did as it was clear was he meant.

Can't be bothered reading through all of the drivel on this thread - so I'll just drop in here to say.

I am Scottish - I am also British.

I would like to see England win the world Cup as our only British representatives.

I think the anti- English nonsense spouted by so many Scots during the World Cup is not only offensive but also highly embarassing. We come over as a country insanely jealous of our neighbours.

It is damaging to this country.

And Jack McConnell is what those of us who voted for a Scottish parliament deserve.
