  1. So to sum it up simply as long as we are an SPL outfit we will be fine financially..?

Perhaps not. Last season they made a loss of approx. ?250k which was after adding over ?500k income from transfer fees so a loss of ?750k if Niculae hadn't been sold.

I also notice that if it wasn't for a property revaluation in the last year the balance sheet would be showing the club as having more liabilities than assets.

The accounts certainly don't paint a pretty picture.

  2. I take it I'm one of the few who thought Barrowman didn't get a chance at ICT. I went to a few county home games when they were in Div 2 and ICT were away and he reminded me of Paul Ritchie, a pretty ineffective player outside the box but put the ball at his feet or on his head in the box and he'll hit the target. He was played mainly as a target man for ICT and I certainly don't think he is a target man as his dismal record for ICT showed. So I'd agree he has nothing to prove to Butcher or the ICT fans.

  3. Team for the 1-3 game v Ross County

    Esson

    Proctor Bulvitus Munro Djebi-Zadi

    Hayes Stratford Cox Eagle

    Foran Sanchez

    Likely team for tonight

    Esson

    Proctor Tokely Munro Golabek

    Duncan Cox

    Hayes Sanchez Foran

    Rooney

Butcher realised, about 2 months after everyone else (well me anyway), that players like Eagle, Stratford, Bulvitus and Djebi-Zadi were actually not as good as the guys that were already in the squad.

  4. we also have to ask ourselves why some of the younger travelling support get the train to games (including some of those closely related to the bus convener)....

Have I got some extended family that I don't know about?

I took it up the headmaster at dornoch

 Never heard it called that before.

  5. Cheers Scotty, that sounds like a good idea. Once we have our new site up and running we could look at somehow linking the two and a dedicated board on the forum might me a good way to do. I'll mention it at our meeting tonight. (Well if I get a chance that is, it's looking like a pretty busy night ahead)

There is one thing I would like to clear up - The purpose of the meeting on Wednesday night is not to get Brewster the sack, it is to speak to our members and fellow shareholders about how they would like us to proceed. We have met as a board and have our own ideas, but we felt it important that we seek a wider opinion before going back to the board of the football club with some questions and possibly suggestions for improvement.

We have our scheduled board meeting tonight, so I'm sure this will be our main agenda item. We are very conscious that as a board we have to reflect the views of our members and this seems the best way to do it.

I look forward to seeing some of you on Wednesday night.

The Trust Board's statement of 26/12/08 on their website seems to me to suggest that they do want Brewster sacked.

However, the whole board of the Supporters' Trust regrettably feels that the time has come for a change in team management. We are worried by what they have seen on the pitch, the club's proximity to the bottom of the table, apparent low morale, and no sign of a turn around in fortunes. Last Saturday's defeat to Aberdeen further strengthened these concerns.

Anyway if the result of the meeting is that a majority do indeed want Brewster sacked what are the options available to the trust?

  6. Whether he is rated or not Brew saying he is a player he really likes so think there is a good chance he will be joining us

    Its the old boy network

If thats the reason then it is very worrying, but I find it hard to believe that brew would put himself under more pressure by taking in a player he didnt feel he was good enough just because he is a mate

It's a blatant example of "jobs for the boys". Because Brewster knows he's chums with those above him, he'll probably get away with it as well! :rotflmao:

dont see any harm in taking a look at him. Hastings and tokers havent exactly covered themselves in glory at times this season...

I see plenty of harm in taking a look at him. Hastings and Tokely are world beaters compared to him. If we sign him, we will have two useless examples of footballers at our club, Djebi-Zadi being the other.

    I count 3 aren't you forgetting somebody?

  7. The job that I applied for in an earlier post seems to have slipped from me primarily because I lack the experience they require. Now this is really getting to me. If I can't get a job to get experience how am I meant to better myself in terms of moving up the job ladder?

Would you like to become an Accountant?

  8. as long as craig brewster stays put at Inverness i am not willing to cross the gate , make a stand get him out

Your surname isn't McCann by any chance is it?  I think your mummy and daddy are looking for you  :blah01:

I'm not renewing mine.  It isn't a stand against anyone or anything going on at the club I've just lost interest in football.  I think I will now dedicate my Saturdays to Haberdashery

  9. I noticed an advert in the Courier yesterday advertising for jobs in a new Celtic store in Inverness city centre.

I have to say that I think that it's a fantastic coup for Inverness to have not one but two of the best football clubs in Scotland with stores in Inverness!  It will mean that all the real fans of these clubs that live in Inverness but can't get to the game, so are forced to watch it in the pub, can feel more in touch with their club!

Or of course it may just mean more idiots walking round head to toe in Celtic memorabilia like the Rangers fans currently do.

    Thoughts?

  10. I can't see that many "big" bands coming to the ironworks.  "Big" bands would play at stadiums or venues that hold more than about 1,000 people.  Most schools probably have bigger assembly halls than the ironworks!

  11. Alan Main from St. Johnstone

Matt Reis or Zach Thornton in goal and if Black leaves what about Eddie Gaven

There's a French guy who plays for Ligue 2 team La Harve called Christophe Revault who's pretty much unknown over here, he would be a terrific signing.

Or what about fellow Frenchman Jeremie Janot from Saint Ettiene?  He's short but good but I don't know if he'd leave for ICT or leave his local team.

I hear Mark Bosnich is training with QPR and may be looking for a move.

    Best alias ever.

  12. I'll be going to my second game in about 2 seasons after finally getting permission from the wife.  :022:

Nice to see some old faces again and the return of big daddy brew to tannadump.

You look familiar.  Do I know you?  :blah01:
