  1. Inverness secured seventh spot in the SPL on the back of the victory to the delight of head coach Charlie Christie.

But the Caley boss was simply pleased to end a poor run at Almondvale this season.

Christie said: "It was our fourth visit here this season and we hadn't won the previous three.

"But, defensively, we were sound and have had three clean-sheets in a row - the first time we've done that since coming into the SPL, which is tremendous.

"Livi did not look likely to score and I'm delighted to come away with the win.

"We have confirmed seventh spot, which is progress for us, and the top six is something to aim for next year. Every supporter should be delighted at our season.

Glad to hear CC being positive for next season!!

  2. And there is no way Dargo will ever play for the full team.

So if Dargo is top Scottish goal scorer next season he wouldn't get in the team??

IMO Brown has been well and truly screwed over... considering we have one of the best defencive records in the SPL is testament to Brown's ability... he should have been a shoe-in after Gordon couldn't make it and definitely ahead of Smith and Marshall!!

I think Dargo has more competition McFadden, Miller, Boyd and Maloney all deserve to be in the squad undoubtedly but considering that Maloney and McFadden play as wingers half the time only leaves us with Boyd and Miller.... TBH personally I'd prefer Dargo to Miller but I can see why he is favoured!

  3. I disagree about his build. He would still make a superb centre half and indeed did for a long time. his reading of the game is by far superior to Dods or Munro so that, in my opinion, makes up for any physical let down that Caff might have.

Another strength is his passing out of defence. I always thought he was as good as Mr Mann when it came to distribution of the ball as we tried to get up the other end of the pitch.

And he can play right back as well as do all this! I would be sad to see him go.

If Caff is all singing and all dancing then why are Dods and Munro the first team regulars??? because of their no nonsence defending???? because of their build???

  4. No-one can say that since Brew left it hasn't been exciting with CC incharge!! We've played some excellent stuff at times and CC has put his money where his mouth is by trying to play attacking football, sometimes it has worked and sometimes it hasn't but remember he is still trying to get his bearings. We have also seen the resurrection of Wyness and Hart, CC has shown he is willing to use subs when things aren't going to plan... while with Brew as soon as we went a goal down we were doomed!!

I think CC has been able to use the examples of Pele, Robbo and Brew to pick out the best bits of managment, discard the bad and as previously said with the very capable helping hand of DP!!

Rather than being negative is it not better to be optimistic???

  5. I am very reliably informed that there are THREE potential targets fer next season.. Rankin, Robb and Morrow. We have also put in interest fer Brighton of Clyde but he may well go fer higher places.

I can't understand why we would be after a left sided midfielder... think we have enough cover with Morgan, McBain, Wilson and Hart that can all play on that side!! I would have thought our right wing would be priority

Glad Rankin is being considered and Morrow is a good player from what I've seen of him

Dunno much about Brighton of Clyde

  6. Hope Caff stays, I think he is an excellent player just hasn't got the height and build of Dodsy or Munro for a centre half. When he played right bk for Tokely against Celtic and Hibs he was my MOTM for both games which shows he has plenty potential as an SPL player. Would like to see him playing infront of the defence think he could be an excellent defensive mid, as Caley D says I hope that CC can keep a hold of him next season and use the squad rotation so everyone gets their chance.

  7. i mean can he bring in good players that have a good track record or are we going to have to bring in a bunch of nobodys and hope that they can pull it off

Who in the team at the moment has had a good track record at another club??

IMO CC is the right man for the job and his passiion for the club can only be a good thing as motivation for the players, not t mention the respect the team carry for him as an ex-captain of ICT and MOM against Celtic in the 3-1 game. What has he done to deserve criticism??

Until he has a full season, start to finish, in the SPL no one can judge how good or bad a manager he is!!

  8. Season after season Livi have pinched our players.... I think it's about time we did the same to them when they are at their weakest, I'd take Colin Healy!

but I'm sure CC has his eye on a few players not just 1

Young Right winger, targetman upfront and Rankin

  9. Am completly struggling as ICT! Can't seem to get to sign anyone, and all my players are being big headed and not leaving. Tried to get rid of Hastings, Fraser, Golabek and Morgan but they wouldn't leave, claiming that the other clubs are offering pish wages.

Tried to sign Rankin, but he was happy to stay at County, which I was suprised at. Anyone know of any players that are good, cheap, and willing to play! I really need a Striker (as a back up) and a left sided Midfielder. And a good goalkeeper wouldn't go amiss!

You shouldn't need a goal keeper with Broonie and Fraser but try Calder from Clyde, I've had Rangers try to bid for him out my reserves team.

Good strikers: Sergey Kisily, Rory McCallister develops into a quality player, Callum Smith from Dunfermline reserves becomes a nippy striker 20 for penalties aswell, I got Bednar for 330k off Hearts at the end of the first season also you could loan Finnbergasson(spelling) from Celtic

Don't sell Hastings he is a brilliant cover for Golly

Good left wingers: Puncheon from luton, Santi Kolk**** is easy to pick up on free transfer and I've had bids of 6.5 mil for him. Ivsanchenko is a 19 yr old from Ukraine also immense. Ross Wallace on loan. I got Stephen Pearson on a free 2nd season in.

    I started with....

    ---------------Broonie---------------

    Tokely---Munro----Dods------Golly

    ---------------Duncan---------------

    -----------Black---McBain----------

    Hart---------------------------Juanjo

    ----------------Brew-----------------

but as soon as I could replace Hart, Brew & Juanjo I did!!

  10. I don't know if this is true or not because i wasn't at the game. However just after the game had finished i got a texted saying that when we scored Tokely ran over to Brew giving it GIRUY  . Can anyone confirm this?

    :lol::lol:

    Hope that's true

  11. Clearly we can't finish any worse than eighth in the league now and are looking good for seventh. With a higher points total than last season our team continues to progress, and contrary to those who bemoan the fact that we didn't make top six, I'm happy that we have developed at our own pace and have set a target which we can realistically surpass next season.

    Well done, ICT!

    Well said

  12. Outside of OF players his goals return is as good as any of our main competitors. Stick with him as a starter i say. he is a real goal threat.

Spot on.... If he scores 11 goals for us again next season I'll be delighted. You lot have changed your tune from last season when we complained of having no strikers that could score goals!

  13. Just because he isn't featuring in the first team doesn't mean he has nothing to offer the team... showed today that when he was needed to fill the place for an injury he did so... and without the defence leaking a goal. We will struggle to find experienced players that will sit on the bench and wait patiently for a game especially players that have as much passion for the club like golly does.
