All reminds me of the old days of Airdrie and the tune I heard for the first time:
The Airdrie end is always full
The Airdrie end is always full
Its full of Po*fs, Queers and Wan*ers
The Airdrie end is always full.
That was in our Highland league days before we had electricity and still had the horse and cart.
Always enjoy pissing on Airdrie scum......

Interesting though and I wasn't going to mention this but I was speaking to a lad in the press world who told me TB had applied for the Falkirk job and this was the topic of behind scenes discussion at the Mowbry press conference last week. It was inferred though that it wasn't happening. Will see what develops............

great idea for a thread!! I used to go to Kingsmills park in 1977 as a 7 year old with my dad and his mates and was a season ticket holder. I always mind we started under the the first floodlight on the left as we entered the ground and then in the 2nd half we always moved to the other side of the main stand. I think this was basically to do with jags scoring goals in these ends. You would see scores of thistle 11 deveronvale 0 and such like. I also mind a player manager(Ian Cummings I think??) scoring from the half way line. Never seen that since. Glory days.... Also mind getting caught in the middle of some serious grief in a thistle Killy game which we won 3 - 0 in the scottish cup. We were so ahead of our time.... Bit of a stand off developed across from the main stand. Those who were there will remember it well. As I got older most of my mates were caley fans so Telford street became the place to go. Legendry games such as the cup game and battle!!!!! v Airdrie. Anyone mind the Airdrie casual with the pink parka? Can't wait to beat them again.... I have one or two pals that could not except the merger and still cant. I respect their views but I am Inverness born and bred and as far as I was concerned the the only way forward to achieve our dream of top level football was the merger and Ive been living the dream ever since. As a good friend of mine keeps saying " You'll never beat the caley"(or thistle....) ZOID you know who you are.
I'm kinda hoping we are going to have some fun times again at the dump and get back to winning ways but most importantly with attractive attacking football. I think we all deserve it after last seasons pile of pish. Bring it on...

sounds like one for the future but hopefully he will push his way into first team contention. I hope he is a defender first as we are sadly lacking in central defence. He has height and hopefully strength to go with it. I'm always happier seeing players with potential arrive rather than money grabbing journeymen. To be fair thats not a route we have ever been down and long may it continue.

Pile of pish... Keane x celtic and lover of all things green in partnership with x gers captain of orange. Did someone mention smelling the coffee!!!!

Its match no.19 you need for the game on Saturday.

Just read through this whole thread and watched the video clips of memories past. Its brought tears to my eyes. Ive never been more proud to support ICT especially reading and seeing the genuine passion that so many of us share. Ive tried not to think about Saturday too much this week but now it can't come quick enough. I know we are good to enough to beat Falkirk and I genuinely believe the fans will give the team the extra edge on the day. C'mon ICT....
:) :D B)

If we lose we go down basically. A draw would do but we have to win and when did we last beat falkirk?? Sh**ing it now big time.

I spoke to him a few weeks ago and there is no doubt he has total respect for Butcher. Basically without going into specifics I was content from what was said that he would be happy to stay if his wages were doubled. He is content here but ultimately the doubt is the board would have to break their wage structure to keep him here. I'm aware of Niculae and the money he was on but that wasn't coming directly from the board and this is a completely different scenario. The pre contract is not legally binding and can be binned. Us staying up, and Butch staying will dictate what happens with the wee man but if he does go he will have my best wishes as he has played a major factor in us still being alive and kicking. end of....

I was told the same last night by his mate. Well deserved in my opinion
Does anyone remember Daisy Ross?
in Caley Thistle
Posted
Ive not been on for long enough but was prompted by a mate who knows my connections to Daisy. He was playing with Brora last season although he was trying to hang the boots up. Despite requests he hung his boots up for good in the Highland league at the end of last season for golf and other challenges.
As a challenge for this year I trained with him with a view to running the Ben Nevis race in September and we practised by running up and down Ben Wyvis which incidentally he remembers doing 10 years previously in pre season training with County.
He is clearly still extremely fit and completed the Ben Nevis race in approx 2 hours 18 minutes which is some effort. I can also confirm that despite his recent sighting in a county top, he is a Caley fan first and foremost and was actually at the County game with his daughters who support County. He is a supporter of Northern football though. I can also confirm he has never owned a Rolls Royce or Ferrari!! I just read all the threads and I will let him know but I'm sure he will appreciate the nice comments that have been posted.
