  1. I agree! If it causes that much aggro for people don't reply, however that would defeat the purpose of the site! But to cheer everyone up how about a song to the tune of candle in the wind....

    Goodbye Caley Thistle

I think u were the best team in the highlands that ever played in the SPL

Even when you lost, The Caley Jaggies scored a lot of goals because they consistantly played attacking footbalL

And it seems to me, you lived your life like a candle in the wind, never knowing how to score, when the Dons came in

And I would have liked to seen you stay in the SPL, but you sacked your manager and Malky now you division1...... you sacked your manager and Malky, now you division 1..............

  2. The fans werent behind him. The squad wasnt behind him. As bad as it sounds he simply wasnt wanted in Inverness! It wouldnt have mattered if he had another 10 years to save us once the respect goes there is no coming back.

Yet another example as to why the fans were to blame. If they don't give the guy their backing what chance has he got.

He was very harshly dealt with.

I completely agree Pugsy! It was the fans who turned on him and wouldn't let him get on with the job.

  3. remember that Craig Brewster is the first manager that ICT have sacked in 15 years ...... if Butcher does a decent job in the coming season then there will be no reason for him or us to worry. ICT dont make a habit of causing the managerial merry go rounds, we just get caught in the crossfire and if Big Tel moves on it will be his own choice I would think.

Actually ICT sacked a manager 14 years ago. Sergei Baltacha in 1995, after 1 season and finishing 6th in division 3! Of course, as a loyal supporter you would remember that!

  4. perhaps locking it would be a bit harsh but perhaps for non ict as thankfully the man has got nothing to do with the club anymore and never will again

Unless he scores against ICT next season?

  5. Any chance of one of our moderaters putting a lock on this Thread , its obvious this guy CBsrednbluearmy or whatever he calls himself is only on here to wind people up & cause hassle ,

    Thankyou

Are we not allowed a debate on here?! It would be very boring if everyone just posted.. 'i agree' or is that what is supposed to happen?!

Or is it only 20 fans that are allowed an opinion?

  6. Brewster is probably the single most hated man in Inverness and quite rightly so.

In all seriousness that is rediculous. Ok, ICT were struggling when he got the boot, but to be actually hated by people no matter how big a supporter they are is a disgrace! Fans may not have appreciated him as manager, but im sure everyone is in agreement that he was trying his best and would have loved to stay on and give it a real go! But to hate him for that is shocking!

  7. No wind up merchants here! You may disagree but thats my view. That away day at falkirk where ICT lost 4-0... would never have happened under Brewster! We would have lost 1-0 improving our goal difference and therefore leap frogging St Mirren. However because of fan pressure, you got what you wanted.. the manager to be sacked.. maybe its karma.. the only club that booted the manager got the boot this season!

  8. Well, i'm sure now that the dust has settled, all the Brewster doubters will put their hands up and admit they were wrong to call for his head. All the pressure from the folk for a man to be sacked, and without that pressure he may still be in a job, and ICTFC would still be an SPL club... oh well, we all make mistakes!

  9. You really think Pressley will seriously consider coming up here?

As opposed to going somewhere like Falkirk!!

well thats unless falkirk are after him as well... but your argument would back up my theory about players going to the central belt clubs instead of up here! Either way.. thats not the managements fault!

  10. Why do you think we're bottom of the league CB'sB&R Army?

On top of the reasons you quote, we have lost Black and Wilson, we might lose Cowie, we have a management team that have lost the dressing room(apparently) we have a board that have lost touch with the fans and the major shareholder that has publicly gone against the supporters trust, apart from the negatives you point out where are the positives

Wilson was a great servant to ICT but the management i'm sure thought logically that letting him go will free up money to bring in a younger and potentially better player. Black was lured to Tynecastle by more money and playing for his boy hood club... who wouldn't say no to that!? Yes ICT might lose Cowie... Rangers are interested in him... that shows his standard. I don't see how the management could be blamed for Cowie potentially leaving to a bigger club/better wages!?

The major sharehold that went against the supporters trust... well thats just terrible! He should no better than to go against the Supporters trust!!!! I'd be more worried if he went against the team!

ICT aren't done yet... EVERT team (outside OF) at some point in the SPL go through a relegation scrap season.. and it had to happen at some point. Luckily for ICT that this is happening for a few teams this season, and Brewster has the courage to give the youth a chance and improve their game for the teams long term prospects. The board are making money available and new faces (Pressley for example) look like they will be coming in to bolster the team.

  11. Why do you think we're bottom of the league CB'sB&R Army?

I don't no for sure but here's a number of reasons why ICT MAY be joint bottom with 2 other teams, other than anything to do with the management.

One of the poorest financial teams in the SPL (lose players to clubs offering more money)

Players from central scotland are more likely to sign for Falkirk etc than ICT due to travelling

ICT support is one of the least noisest in the SPL (and when there is noise it's usually negative)

ICT have very poor training facilities

Last season ICT relased their full time fitness coach from the club

ICT don't employ a sport psychologist full time like other clubs

The team are in a transitional period of giving youngsters a chance - with time they will improve

And remember a couple of defeats and ICT may still be at worst joint bottom with other teams... a couple of wins and then they will have breathing space.

  12. I think it's great news that the board are backing Brewster by making funds available in January. Too many clubs sack their manager when things start to go wrong and will not let the manager turn it around. Too many clubs don't realise that it may be due to other factors other than the manager/assistant manager that are causing poor results. The management have taken the team on good runs before (beating celtic last season) and soon, with a victory, the team will go on another good run. With a few good signings in January, as well as the managements willingness to give youngsters a chance, this should strengthen the squad short term and long term. With a good run of results, ICT will steer clear of the danger zone. There's 3 teams on 17 points, ICT are far from beaten. Right now ICT are performing at their worst at home. That may be because TCS is very intimidating..... for the home team. The vibe from the supporters is very negative. On Sunday however this can change if the supporters get right behind the team 100%. Positive vocal support for the team from start to finish will boost confidence and morrale. Anti-Brewster banners, fan walkouts, waving sheets of white paper/banners will negatively effect the team. So on Sunday, it's time to get behind ICT 100% and cheer the team on.
