  1. Cowie got 45 mins and had a good game.

Defensively he was very good, he put in some key tackles and pressured them well. He worked hard and although he didn't get a huge amount of the ball in an attacking sense his passing was still good, all of them were on target along one great pass with the outside of the foot. Also set up Scotland's biggest chance for Fletcher with a nice ball over the top of the defenders and in behind but it just couldn't be finished off.

Good performance from him and Scotland didn't play too bad, defensively the Scots were good but an unpreventable own goal gave Japan the lead late on.

  2. Great to see Don get called up.

He hasn't quite reached the heights he hit last season but that's not to say he hasn't been good because he has still showed good passing, crossing, work rate, and stamina but just needs to grab a few more goals and maybe some more assists as well.

Well done Cowie, hope you don't get injured.

p.s Is this game on telly?

  3. Is he worth a Scotland shout Nak??

Btw how did that lad miss that shot in the last minute last night??

    I think so.

I really have no idea how he missed, he just seemed to jump over the ball.

  4. Chipper scores again....a header!

Unfortunately he got injured during the first half as well with an ankle knock but hopefully he'll be alright for our next game on tuesday.

He's now contributed to 5 goals in 10 games.

Great player who has Goals,Assists,Work Rate and Ability.

  5. Going by his recent performances down in England, Chipper deserves to be in this squad!

I believe Chipper is Don Cowie and if so I agree.

He has been absolutely superb for us, quickly becoming a fans favourite here at Watford with his work rate which is unbelievable and is also technically very good.

He has contributed to 4 goals in 7 games.

  6. Brendan Rodgers on Don Cowie after the Palace game:

"He's the type of player I like, I like that mixture between artists and soldiers, and he's an artist and

he's a very very good footballer, he can play in a number of positions, technically he's strong, he's

got a good touch, he's got an idea of the game, he doesn't get rid of the ball, he passes it which for

me is very important, tactically he understands what I'm trying to do because he can play in a

number of positions, he's played wide on the right, he's played wide on the left but he can also

operate in a three or a diamond inside so he's going to be tactically very good for me. Physically

you can see he can run, he's a good athlete, he can get about the pitch and psychologically I like

him because he's professional, he comes in every day and football's his life and he comes in with

big concentration to work and work well and scored a real good goal and set up the second one

    so a very good contribution."

    :rotflmao:

  7. what do the other watford fans make of him???

Most seems to really like him. His work rate has quickly endeared himself to the Watford fans.

Should be a top player for us if he stays consistent which he seems to be.

  8. If your interested here's my report on his performance from the Watford forum.

"Cowie- 8 MOTM Goal and an assist. Could have had 2 or 3 goals but he scored 1 and which is good enough for me and also showed great movement and ability for the second goal. Very good passing and works extremely hard."

He reminds of Ji Sung Park

  9. Poom was number 1 but got injured so Loach came in but then he got injured so Richard Lee came in but he was playing crap so when Loach was fit again he came back in.

Loach is a good goalkeeper, probably abit early for him to be playing first team football but he is the best we have and at just 20 yrs old (very young for GK) is very highly rated and will becombe a very good goalie but due to his age he has made a couple of mistakes this season.

    England U21 international as well.

  10. Cowie had a very good debut, superb stamina and was up and down the wing all night working very hard for the team, He also showed good technical ability as well and came close to scoring on a few occasions.

Not a direct winger and doesnt really have the pace to be one but had a very good solid debut if unspectacular.

What did he get booked for? Not like him.

Hacked someone down right outside the box, almost a pen. The Swansea player got past a few players and Cowie was caught abit flat footed ad tripped him up. :rotflmao:

  12. "Good luck to him anyway hope he does well and is still playing in the Championship next season. It's a pretty decent move I thought he was going to end up at a club like Dundee Utd or Motherwell."

To be honest I don't give a **** if Watford & Cowie stay in the championship or get relegated. He has left ICT and unless he decides to come back he is of no interest to me what so ever.

good luck to you to :rotflmao:

  13. Seems like we are going to be signing him soon then for a nominal fee.

I saw the last 20 mins of ICT vs Celtic from October on Setanta yesterday so I kept an eye on how Cowie did but it was hard to judge with amount of time left in the game but he seemed play a sort of play-maker role, his passing looked good as did his crossing but he did come across a little bit lazy, would that just be a case of him wanting to leave and not really having any passion for the club?

What would you say is his best position?

  14. Are you Watford fans aware that Cowie won't be the first former ICT player to play for you? Clue - scored a winner against Chelsea for you.

After a few seconds of research I see it is Allan Smart :rotflmao:

  15. Say Nak if your taking Cowie any chance of us getting Jobi McAnuff in exchange???

I watched him playing on Sky Sports a wee while back and he looked immense. what you say?

He has actually been pretty crap for us but has been doing well of late for us thankfully.

  16. You are correct, they are both way down the pecking order here and we tried to offload them in the summer but were only able to get them out on 6 month loan deals so now they're back here

    p.s please take them :rotflmao:

Maybe we could do some kind of swap deal here....

Have you heard of Rory McAllister?

Judging by the amount of games he has played for you I would say he's very poor :thumb04:

Anyway, Is Cowie left or right footed? and does he work hard?

    thanks

  17. having not have seen either player play i can only assume your smiley is to imply that they are mince! :rotflmao:

Moses Ashikodi was at rangers iirc, didnt get a sniff at the first team though. Kabba, from his wiki page looks like a lot of clubs and not a lot of goals!
