In talks with Dundee apparently
proves hes as gready for money as the next guy, thought he left ict as he wanted to play spl football? remind me again are dundee in the spl??
he didnt get offered a contract anyway cos Butcher didn't think he was as good as slow roscoe and munro at CB, tit
-
the caley away kit is pretty ugly this season too as is the newcastle away kit but their fans are pot bellied drunks who dont wear tops anyway
-
He just applied for the Aberdeen job and immediately got told to **** off, i think that its not very nice he does play attractive passing football but he got sacked often because teams took too long to adjust to decent football so obviously caley would have been relegated taking to long to adjust, if Butcher goes to Motherwell after Mcghee goes to Aberdeen i wouldnt mind seeing him at the club for not a quick return but to get Caley playing football again
-
i can see him being good for us in the 1st div.
Anyone know roughly what he is on wage wise? alot of people talk about it, but ive never known.
I read somewhere he earned in excess of 2k a week.
?1500 per week basic he,s on
I think he's on ?1800 per week but we had to offer him that to fight off offers from bigger clubs, yes it was a big risk and it didn't really work this season but we also took a risk in signing injury-prone Dargo on a similar wage who got more starts before his first goal and Niculae was probably on 3 grand a week, a club has to take risks like this but unfortunately it didn't really pay off, about 30 grand per goal and they were a tap in and a penalty, here hopes he'll get better service next season and not long balls to him

Mark Mcghee will be off to Aberdeen and then Butcher will be off to Motherwell :blah03:
And Calderballs to come here?
That would be interesting... I can't stand the guy but you can't argue with his track record.
No. WGS has expresssed an interest in this post. I have it on good authority from a board member.
wats wgs?

I never knew it was this early
http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...1675196,00.html
maybe its a mistake, i thought it was end of august we played the season.
I thought the leauge ws being played later this year :P !
why does the SFL start so early if its only 36 games and it ends up finishing very early
-
its annoying hearing people abuse Barrowman all the time, the problem was he didnt fit into our system, Brewster played him as a target man and so did Butcher if he played under Butcher. He is a finisher and hopefully in the 1st division we'll stop this long ball crap and give Barrowman and Rooney proper service and chances
-
we are going to obviously play long ball now with no Ian Black, Vigurs, Morais or any creativity/composure on the ball in the team anymore
-
I've thought of someone, how about Iain Vigurs. No ? Probably not doesn't run around enough chasing lost causes, not workmanlike enough. To young, sooner look at an old pro who had a reputation a few years ago and needs to get his career back on track.
i think he is our best at least most creative midfielder but caley released him
-
Why does the kit have to necessarily be black or white? its quite tedious having almost every team having a white away kit
-
i hope its not white or i'll spill food on it again :clapping03:

We should have brought in Brewster for the Falkirk game, you always get a boost from a new manager
Butcher's record against Falkirk this season
Won 0 Drawn 0 Lost 3
Goals For 0
Goals Against 6
Brewster's record against Falkirk this season
Won 1 Drawn 1 Lost 0
Goals For 3
Goals Against 1

Kerr can operate as a playmaker
That is quite an outrageous statement, we need to find someone with the vision and composure on ball like Ian Black or Morais if we want to see real football in the SFL and it will be fairly difficult to attract someone to the 1st division and to a town in the middle of nowhere
-
With Ian Black and now Ian Vigurs gone, are Caley going to put McBain/Kerr/Duncan in the midfield and play long balls and then inevitably get nowhere near the title or is Butcher going to do something about it?
-
I think the squad has been divided by Butcher and Brewster. Who the **** is going to pass the ball in midfield now Brian Kerr?? HAHAHAHA. Brian Kerr is getting offered a contract despite doing **** all, we can't afford to keep our best defender, yes I'm sure Eastern European player's wages demands are ridicolous. I guess the reason for releasing Pavels is we have too many defenders at the club, Jamie Duff and constantly injured Phil MacGuire are still under contract. Vigurs will be snapped up by Brewster probably. I was looking forward to SFL because i thought it might mean we could start playing football again like Butcher's Motherwell.
Butcher Out, Brewster In!!!
-
of course caley won't be on Setanta anymore but will we still get games on BBC ALBA?
-
Clearly, but I personally don't think he should've got it.
Why is your name roscoe23 if you hate him so much?
-
Get feckin real - Lionel lost us a Hampden Semi Final and Rosscoe lost us a SPL place - and possibly so did Butcher with his feckin crazy defensive line up.
I do agree with the part about Butcher's defensive line-up after the split, firstly Michael Fraser is incompetant just look at Kilamarnock's goal, Then there is dropping Pavels, who is the one who sured up our defense in the first place to put roscoe and munro at centre back who combined have the pace of a retarded old man with no legs, thats how the Falkirk striker got clean through and roscoe sent off. Now Butcher is getting rid of Pavels and Vigurs - who is looking like after Black's departure the only midfielder interested in passing the ball
BUTCHER OUT, BREWSTER IN!!!
-
Its ridiculous Pavels isnt even getting offered a contract and neither is Vigurs, He probably isnt getting a contract offer because we still have to keep Jamie Duff and Phil MacGuire who is always injured on contract. He can't afford a new contract to Pavels but he can afford to offer contracts to Morais, Foran and unamonyous Kerr
-
Its not just Vigurs you can make a team of players Butcher does not like
----------------Esson--------------------
---Gathuissi----Duff----Mihadjuks-----Hastings
---Sutherland---Duncan---Vigurs-----Byrne
-----------Wood------Rooney-----------
A very youthful side you have Mr Snaarf. I think Vigurs plays well with Senior and more experienced players as he gets kept on the right path along the way.
Could definatly see him in
ESSON
TOKELY PAVELS MUNRO TOKELY
MORAIS KERR VIGURS IMRIE
ROONEY BARROWMAN
That is not an actual team for the SFL, that is a team of players that like Vigurs did not exactly flourish under Butcher. Brewster is not the only one who can divide his squad

The Players Player of the Year....Iain Black
The Fans Player of the Year.......Ross Tokely
The CTO Player of the Year........Iain Black
IMO Ian Black was very good.. before he signed for Hearts, although he said he would he really didn't put in as good performances and effort as he usually did after Januarary. I would hvae given the player of the year to Pavels Mihadjuks even though he only signed in Januarary he filled in the huge gap in defense left by McGuire that Brewster failed to deal with or maybe Ryan Esson?
