  1. Following your team's match on Teletext used to be totally nerve-wracking, particularly cup matches. You used to press 'refresh' (or whatever you had to do to upload the page) and blur your eyes and hope that your team's '0' had miraculously changed to a '1'.

Funniest story I every heard on this subject was about a chap who'd followed his team's progress in a mid-week cup replay on Teletext or Ceefax. At the end of the game he switched back to normal TV only to find the pundits summing up the game which had just been broadcast live on free-to-air TV! D'oh!

  2. Evening all,

Got a number of Mini-DV tapes to transfer to my PC....however, I need to source a Mini-DV camcorder. It needs to have a digital out facility (USB/Firewire etc). Anyone got one gathering dust they'd like to sell?

Live in Inverness so can collect.

PM-me if you have such an item. MUST be working as I'm no electronic engineer!

    Thanks!

    :024:

Can nobody help me with this one?

    Cheers!

  4. Just thinking about the different modes of transport we have at home, some more unusual than others, this is the list of stuff you can get around on at ours (2 Adults & 3 kids at home)

    A car

    A van

    7 bikes

    2 scooters

    2 scateboards

    A pogo stick

    A Space hopper

A Trampoline (if you can count that, does move you around, kids have been known to jump off the trampoline into the swimming pool)

What have you got, I thought 16 items if you count the trampoline was pretty good, anyone got anything unusual?

Okay - just remember you started this ;)

    2 Adults & 2 Kids

    Land Rover Discovery (Company Car)

    Ford Mondeo (My Car)

Rolls Royce Silver Spirit (for Weddings)

    Ford Dorchester (also for Weddings)

    Mercedes 420SEL

    Morris 1000 Convertible

    Vauxhall Omega (SORNED)

    Ford Fiesta (SORNED)

    MG Metro (SORNED)

Citroen C5 (currently stored away from the house)

Vauxhall Vectra (currently stored away from the house)

    Caravan

    2 x Trailers

    1 x Motorbike Trailer

    1 x Trials Bike

    5 x Mountain Bikes

    7 x Classic/Vintage bikes

    2 x Scooter

    Pogo Stick

    2 x skateboards

    3 x pairs of skis

    2 x Rollerblades

    3 x Ice skates

    3 x sledges

44 so far and quite a few unusual ones, especially the classic and vintage bikes. Lots more bikes and things stored in the loft of the garage, but I could access all of the above with ease. Don't have a trampoline though.

    What's your surname? Avis?

    1 car

    1 boy's bike

    1 girl's bike

2 scooters (one pink, one blue)

    Space hopper

    four pairs of legs

    Do skipping ropes count?

  5. I've got that in hand BornCaley and fingers crossed we should be able to do something.

....as long as the club and TB give me the green light. I can understand TB not wanting a coaching session filmed (crown jewels and all that).

  6. Feck the Jaggies - you keep on supporting the Caley BE. Like the vids, might even end up liking you but get yon flag off this feckin site. :P

Consider it done. Can you clarify the situation? Are ICTFC the Jaggies or not? What should they be known as? (I'm aware of the history relating to the formation of the current team but don't want to offend anyone). :P

  7. Morning all!

Just registered on the site so hello to you all. I'm new to the Highlands but I can see the stadium from my house and have seen Caley play about a dozen times (over 12 years!) but mainly in the past 12 months since I moved up from Kent. Still a die-hard Crystal Palace fan so supporting a team that plays (or used to) in red and blue stripes with an eagle on the badge comes easy to me!

Quick question for you all...why doesn't the team run out to a favourite song? Palace have run out to the Dave Clark Five's 'Glad All Over' for about 40 years so how about adopting this or another suitably rebel-rousing tune?

Here are links to a couple of videos I've recently made. I'll make more over the coming season so keep an eye out on youtube for them.

    Come on you Jags!
