  1. I went to most of them.

I agree with what you say.

However, it does not alter the fact that Foran is NOT a goalscorer.

I have no problem with Foran being in the team - as a midfielder.

  2. Rooney took a while to settle in but he showed promise and I always felt he would become a valuable goalscorer.

He gained strength, knowledge and confidence in a short period of time.

Tade works hard - but does not inspire confidence in the same way. He will NOT emulate Rooney.

That said, I'd far sooner have him up front than Foran. Perhaps with Mackay or Sutherland playing just ahead.

And just how often have you seen MacKay play to come to the conclusion that you would far rather see him playing upfront with Tade than Foran?

Never - but I've seen enough of Foran in that position to convince me ANYONE would be better.

  4. Well done ICT the start has been made, just to settle down now and bang in the goals!

I would like to see Golabart up front with Tade, could be a real defence rattler. Shinnie and Ross

could do the finnishing? Our captain would benefit from a couple of games off.

And what evidence is this based on!!. We are having a hard enough time scoring goals as it is and you want to put a centre back up front. Where is the darkened room as I need to lie down.

We have a hard time scoring goals so putting our "number nine" and his amazing tally of ONE on the bench is long overdue.

I would however rather see Mackay or Shane (or preferebly both) up front for a prolonged spell.

Our "strikers" inability to create or hold the ball results in our defence being constantly under pressure.

  5. Our biggest problem is Foran wearing number 9.

A nice guy, well motivated, but SO far away from being a goal scoring centre forward it's unbelievable.

And he's no spring chicken so it's ridiculous to think he might suddenly improve.

Sadly he has great belief in himself and in Butcher's eyes he can do no wrong.

Yesterday we WERE lucky because, in the SPL, if you can't take a good proportion of your chances you usually lose.

  6. Can you think of a worse football league than the SPL?

    I can't.

Mid-September and the Old Firm are clear at the top with two games in hand each.

Personally, I couldn't confidently tell you which of them has won the league for the past 10-20 years - it just doesn't interest me.

For ten teams the League is all about relegation.

It makes me long for glorious relegation and entry to the Scottish Football League where every team starts a new campaign with hope and dreams.

A very sad state of affairs - and little wonder the national game is in such a desperately poor state.

  7. Mair is an absolute disgrace for feigning a headbutt from Duncan in a delberate and blatant attempt to get a fellow professional sent off.

As usual the stand side linseman was shocking and misread the situation completely.

Made all the worse by the fact that it means this is now the last time we will see Duncan in an ICT shirt (unless Butcher appeals the sending off,

but frankly i don't believe he will)

Personally i think that, if it comes down to the wire, we should throw the Hamilton game to get these cheats relegated.

  8. Just to update you ........................ my wife won! (I put an entry in for her).

We had a fantastic weekend in Parma with the winners of the seperate Orion competition.

The hospitality was superb and we were very well treated, wined and dined by our hosts from Erea and Orion.

To cap it all - hospitality at the Parma Inter match - both sides needing three points, Inter to sustain their League challenge

and Parma for survival. A full house, a tremendous atmosphere and a cracking game of football - 2-0 to Parma.

(Didn't mind missing the Caley Hearts match for it at all).

We also got to see the new away strip (I believe publicity about the trip may be left until the strip is released) at the Erea factory.

I'm afraid I can't say what it's like - but I can tell you I think it's our best one yet.

There's some talk of repeating it next year - and if they do, it is definitely worth an entry.

Full marks to Caley Thistle, Erea, Orion and Flybe.
