Alright, fair enough. Yes Foran certainly isn't Fergie. A fair point though... before Aberdeen, Fergus was sacked by St Mirren. After Aberdeen, he was famously a game away from the sack before beating Nott Forest on way to 1990 FA Cup. After that, the rest is history.

Regarding player criticism in the media, it maybe shouldn't happen but yesterday emotions probably running high. Foran is by no means the first. Since you mention Fergie, he slaughtered the Aberdeen team saying he was ashamed of their performance in the post-match interview after 1983 Scottish Cup Final extra-time 1-0 victory over Rangers. I'd say the players had a right to be tired ... just days earlier they had beaten Real Madrid after extra time to win a European trophy. This is probably for another thread ... sorry.

Sorry cif I think I know what you are driving at but I cannot get onboard with it regarding RF.

Unless ur Zinedine Zidane and walk straight in at R Madrid, anyone's 1st year in management is going to be tough.

I have not not seen a single positive to draw from this season that would give me any hope of making a swift return next year. Every aspect of his management re tactics/formations/line ups stated in previous post would give me major cause for concern if he is sat on our bench come the first day of next season.

  2. I'm sorry but I am just not buying the "3 bad apples" line, that's just more shithouse excuses from RF. Pretty much his whole mantra this season in interviews has been "not my fault, blame players".

Yes the players have to shoulder some of the blame, as should the board for

1 for the appointment of RF

2 not having the gumption to sack him when it was clear to see relegation was a serious threat as early as December time.

For me the buck firmly sits with RF for our relegation. Chopping and changing his line ups every week. Couldn't organise a defence. Different tactics, different formations hoping to stumble across something that works. Freezing out Fisher for most of the season, when turns out he was actually quite useful......shock!!!

Really, really hope he is not there next season, cannot see a bright future while this man is still at the helm.

  3. Thought we were poor 1st half, 2nd half was better, should have capitalized on pressure we put them under and put the game to bed. Despite defense looking ok we all knew we were gonna concede a goal, could not understand why RF didn't make a change. It was obvious county were going to put pressure on towards the end, the only outlets were Mackay and Anier who were looking tired and needed help/changed for fresh legs (Boden/king/cole).

  4. Cheers for the advice fellas, looking forward to the new season, just gutted I'm away for the European games. Hopefully they make it past Vauxhall Astra coz I would be home for the next round

  5. I just started watching Caley on a regular basis last season, and this year I want to start going to away games too. I have not got a season ticket as I work away a lot, will this create any issues for me getting tickets to away games and could anyone pass on advice about travelling to the away games I.e supporters clubs, coaches etc..........cheers
