  1. I was speaking to a couple of player sponsors from last season at the Clach Vs ICT game the other night and, despite being pestered for sponsorship for this year, have not yet received their official pictures with the player they sponsored that were taken at the sponsors night from the club yet. Understandably, they are reluctant to part with cash until this is resolved.

Before going back to club, has anyone that went to the night received theirs yet (or not)?

    Thanks.

  2. PremierICT, if my understanding of your situation is correct then you should give the club a bell and talk to them. I'm pretty certain they'll be only too happy to work with you to sort something out and if you wanted to wait to see what the deal was with seats available after the priority renewal period then they would make sure you don't lose out or end up paying more than you have too.

I spoke to the lovely Maureen in the ticket office, but alas the only option open to me at the moment is to write a letter to Kenny Cameron, expressing my disappointment.

I'm quite happy to negotiate with the club (it's my day job to negotiate, after all) and we can try and work something out, but certainly the ticket office does not appear empowered to offer anything appealing at the moment.

  3. Got a phone call from the Stadium earlier to say that my seat won't be available for next season as they are doing away with them for stewarding. It's a seat at the top of the aisle in the North stand so presumably others will be in the same situation. Oh and this apparently came from the safety officer(?)

Luckily there was a spare seat just along and still beside my mates. Not too impressed at having to move as I've sat there since the stand was built and enjoyed the extra legroom. Never mind..

Same for me. third time I have been moved in 6 years!

    Not very happy....

Yep, just got left the same message. I can understand why I am being asked to move (as they are removing the seats), but a move from row S (right at the back of North Stand) to row D (where you get nice and wet when the rain blows in) is not exactly an attractive proposition. Yes, of course, I can wait until the renewal deadline and hope for some better seats, but then I will lose the 10% discount.

The other point I would make is that I have received 4 renewal letters, one for myself and three for each of the kids, and they all have individual "client references" which suggests that I have to renew each one separately. In that case, there is nothing stopping me renewing the kids ones (which would be free as they are all under 12), and not myself :023: - this is the sort of detail that the ticket office would pick up, but will the online system be as thorough? :D

In any case, I will renew but not yet. I'm sure there will be a deal to be done.

  4. When we moved into our old house in Crown Drive many moons ago (we used to back on to Millburn Academy), we noticed that our garden wall wasn't flush with the others that backed onto the school. After tackling a wasps nest and tearing down the remains of the rear wall, my father found a hand grenade in the foundations.

We called the police, and an officer duly came down to inspect it and, after a couple of calls, picked it up, put it into his cap on his passenger seat, and drove off.

A few weeks later, my dad bumped into the same officer and asked what happened next. Apparently, the bomb disposal squad came down to the police station, looked inside the safe (where it was being kept), and refused to remove the grenade. They unbolted the whole safe from the police station, and blew the whole thing up in a controlled explosion!

We later found out that the land where Millburn Academy now sits *may* have been used as a training site for the army, and that explains why this ordnance was found there.

  5. Came into the ground just after kickoff ( after selling programmes) and there was still a huge queue at the shop waiting for kids tickets. Bit of a shambles all round. Also it was not clear in the earlier publicity that it was 1 free kid per adult and this caused a lot of confusion as well. There also seemed to be a particular problem if you had more than one child as you had to pay for one and get a free ticket for the other and the turnstiles couldnt cope with this. For all the kids that were there compared to a normal gate could they not have just let all kids in free via a turnstile. Totally agree with the voucher idea as well. totally agree that this showed our club in a poor light to Motherwell fams but it was clear on their website that tickets had to be purchased in advance but not that it was only 1 free child.

Agree with all the above posts -an absolute shambles. The official web site does not make it clear that only one child gets in free either.

Motherwell were equally culpable Motherwell Prices for Cup Game

  6. not sure about Foran and Russell though.

Did someone know say on another thread that Foran is banned for one game and Duncan is banned for three?

I would be surprised if Duncan got a three match ban - the highlights show he got a second yellow, and not a straight red.

  7. On the topic of the club shop, i dont like the new scarf. I would of been better is it was ICTFC-DUNDEE one.

Whether or not you like it makes no difference. Its the new ICT scarf and many others will like it. DFC, as the home team, have brought out a cup final scarf. If you want one check their website.

I reiterate what others have said about the lady's in the shop...... especially Andrina and Tess

Alas, whilst Tess is still working part time in the shop, Andrina was made redundant by the club several weeks ago.

  8. Found this article on BBC web site relating to the travellers site next to the stadium.

"A council has ordered an investigation of a travellers' site following concerns the land was contaminated.

The area at Stadium Road in Inverness is reclaimed land having been used as a landfill site between 1919 and 1965."

    Full article here - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/highla...nds/8331780.stm

Wonder if this also affects the ICT ground

  9. Superb PremierICT, were all the songs restored?

Yes they were, it even had my son's irritating "Chelsea" wallpaper.

If I recollect correctly (best check this with the site) they charge ~?30 to evaluate the device, and a fixed fee for the fix (a grand total of ?65 for a water soaked ipod) - cheaper than a new one.

If they can't fix it, they waive the ?30 if they can't fix it, in return for keeping it for spares.

  10. Apparently you can't use more than one ipod on the same computer.

Yes you can. My family collectively have 4 ipods (2 x 2nd generation Nano, 1 x 3rd generation Nano, and 1 x 2nd generation ipod touch), and we all use the same library on the same computer under the same username. We share the same music, and even the same music downloaded from itune$.

As for the ipod that went "swimming", my son made exactly the same mistake (with an ipod touch) and managed to get it repaired at this place Ipod Repair Centre.

  11. Killie Away. Miss there pies already :D

then get yer ass along to the Spar on Montague Row in Dalneigh...as they sell Killie pies in there. heard they are about ?1.60 tho

Killie Pies are for sale in Aldi, ?1.10 each (when they have them in stock!).

  12. I have to say that getting into the club is hit or miss. I turned up on Saturday at 12:15, stone cold sober and not wearing colours, with wife and kids in tow. Knocked on the door, asked politely if they accepted Caley fans, to be given a polite but firm "no" by the bouncer :thumb04: - hardly the welcome other posters have experienced.

I did manage to get in later with a group of other caley fans by bluffing that we had called ahead. :rotflmao:

Don' know what happened there. I will look into it.

If you had used any of the three names given on the posting that should have done the trick.

You are sure it was the Bon Accord and not the Caley as their wee doorman is difficult( I had to think of a word there!)

If it was the Bon Accord I really am disappointed.

By the time I came off the golf course, twoish, my party was well into the spirit of things, surrounded by the locals and holding their own!!

    .

Yep, definitely the Bon Accord club. Right next to the stadium.

As I said, I did manage to get in later by bluffing my way in, right past the guy who refused me entry in the first place.
