  1. German football is cheaper and they have bars in the ground. Milan too. Much more enjoyable. The other posters here got it right in that social media and brand can co-exist. Enjoyed your flickr photos
  2. perhaps it will. If you generate interest in a product people will want the better experience. Rubbish mobile phone experience is not going to be beaten by club broadcasts or actually going? If you look at how TV companies deal with these issues they are a lot more forward thinking
  3. I have friends and family abroad who wanted to see the hearts hibs game and UEFA denied them the chance. ( no broadcast anywhere in the world) I broadcast the game for free. No club was allowed to by UEFA. TBH it was a hassle and detracted from me enjoying the game but also a bit of fun. 7,000 viewers for that game. Cost me a bit for bandwidth.
  4. There is a lot of things against the rules in that list posted on this thread.....
  5. where were you watching it that stewards came in? Was impressed ( depressed?) that stewards at a football game knew it was being broadcast
  6. they stopped the hibs fans filming the game. Never had a problem elsewhere when UEFA blackout in operation. Why is it different in Inverness? Wasn't sure of their powers here but fans threatened with ejection from the ground. There were no other paid alternatives available, the ticket didn't say you couldn't film and as far as I know it's not illegal. Different if club showing it as it would affect their revenue.
  7. I checked here http://www.ofcom.org.uk/mobile-coverage and it says I can get a good 4G signal for all networks except Three. Guess which one I am with? I had to look up proctoscope. Funnily enough I've paid for a joby to take to the game. Looks like the TV broadcast will be from the south.....
  8. I was hoping one of you It does detract a wee bit from the game tho as you have to keep up with play.
  9. Hi I understand the replay is on Wednesday the 13th will not be on TV because of UEFA rules . For three similar recent games hibs fans have broadcast the game via the mobile phone Periscope app which is not great but better than nothing. This has been available to fans of both clubs for free and loses no club revenue as official internet streaming is not allowed either. Up till now no one has bothered us. For the ICT game the away fans are housed in the south stand and it's not going to be great for streaming as its better around the half way line for viewing. Is anyone in your support going to use Periscope? Happy to give advice - it's around 400MB a game in data and you need a modern phone with good processing and battery life. I have just invested in a smartphone tripod/clamp and would be prepared to lend it. I also have a portable battery kit in case there are penalties :-) I'm hoping this is our year - but I've been hoping that for a good few! https://twitter.com/hibsgame https://www.periscope.tv/hibsgame
