First quarter tonight with Poland v Portugal. I expect nothing, so they can't bore me like last time against Croatia. Enough beer and chips ready for a 0-0 draw with 30 minutes of eventless extra-time and the eventual penalty miss of someone on either side. Just look at their ridiculous goals per game amounts, Poland doesn't even manage 1 goal per game and are still in the quarters?

Germany the first team to really convince, Belgium scored a lot of goals late too. I really don't know still what to expect in the quarterfinals.
Hope Italy v Spain tonight is a good one though!

Was personally really convinced by Croatia so far. If their fans hadn't been goofing up the Czech game for them, they'd have 9 points from that group. Pretty impressive and they really don't have the toughest route. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see them go to the semis or even further?

Well done to Northern Ireland, they did it indeed! Also Faroe Islands would be a tough opponent for Scotland
The final between England and Poland is still on by the way...you wish, England!

I was always under the impression that a computer programme made the draw and that adjustments were made where there were clashes. i.e Glasgow teams, Highland teams, Edinburgh and Dundee teams drawn at home on same day, and that, provided a team stays in the league, they will get two home fixtures against another team one year and one the following. This league has twelve teams in it and for the good of Scottish football its time we all stopped clinging on to the apron strings of Glasgow and just got on with playing football.
Well said. While I do think that a computer does most of the schedule, they insert the obvious clashes first, such as derbies, holidays, other events at the venues etc.
Looking at our schedule, we have the opportunity to gain some points early and I hope we can do that before September with Aberdeen, Celtic and Dundee.

Two groups today: C and D.
Germany and Poland the strong favourites to finish 1/2, then we'll have to see whether 3 points from Northern Ireland will be enough (probably not).
In D, Croatia - Spain should be a great one. I just hope the Croatians keep it quiet this time around.

Can only add it myself, best of luck to the new manager! Hope he will do a fantastic job and have a ton of success here! The new season can come soon.
