Sad to see him go, but he leaves us with some cracking memories!

Let's all face it...we'll be lucky to see one or two sign contracts. Only Devine has said he'll likely sign. Watkins, doran, ross and ofere are almost certainly gonna leave. constantly building this team is part of the club now an we're lucky that we don't have to strengthen gk, 3 defensive positions and both midfield positions.

Doran is still under contract for another year and Ofere has also said he'd like to stay, although it's now down to his agent. Watkins and Ross look like they'll be off but they're certainly replaceable.

Out of interest, how many points did we have after 22 games last year?

 

We had 37 points. We were also on 52 points at the time of the split last year, with St. Johnstone in sixth on 48. With some really winnable games coming up, I'd like to think we could be confirmed in the top six fairly soon.

I think it was Tansey in the last game of the 2011/12 season against Hibs. 

Ben Greenhalgh has scored a couple of crackers for the U-20's this season too. 

It is indeed. We also got 5 clean sheets in a row in March 2010 in the first division season (4 wins and a draw), but we conceded after 12 minutes in the next game, the 4-3 win against Raith when Foran won it with the overhead kick. The 05/06 run of not conceding ended on the first day of the next season against St. Mirren, when we conceded after 55 minutes. Unless I'm wrong, our longest period without conceding a goal is about 515 mins, without taking into account added time. We're on about 375 at the minute. 

Tyrone Smith from STV reporting that he's stood down as vice chairman and director. Sad if true. Anybody know if he'll still have any sort of role in the club?

St Johnstone and Dundee United games are the games we seemed to be losing it a bit. Bottled the big occasions but still a special season. County need to watch out for second season syndrome now!

Utter garbage of a first half. The midfield trio are really being missed, and Danny Devine isn't a midfielder, not his fault I know. A.Shinnie looks like he doesn't really care, big change of emphasis needed!

Chris Hogg just announced he too is leaving.

Someone asked Doran on Twitter the other day in all the arguments with fans if we was going to sign a new contract and he said: "Hopefully this week if I'm not murdered"

Was it not a knee injury he sustained the first time? The commentator said he went off with an ankle injury on Sunday. Perhaps just unlucky. Or perhaps the same leg that just hadn't fully recovered?

Was surprised to see Pepper playing in the centre of midfield, but he did well and the midfield collapsed after he and Roberts came off. Hogg got full 90 which is very good to see. Thought Shane was very good, and could have had more than one goal, but he kept getting caught off side, Nick Ross too. Our second goal was excellently worked between Roberts, Ross and Shane.

 

We were unlucky with their first goal, Mathison made a great save from point blank only for them to score the rebound, and from then on we seemed to get nervous and capitulated. Defensive mistake from the guy they were calling "Steven" but I didn't get his second name, and the third goal their boy just seemed to stroll through the defence to score. 

 

Thought we were the better side on the whole, but too many mistakes.

McKay, Warren and Meekings would apparently have all been suspended for the final had we got through.

Anybody know this guy? He's been tweeting Jonny Hayes and his bio says: "play for st. pats but signed a pro with Inverness caledonian thistle". New signing, perhaps?

He's talking to Imrie on Twitter with the hash tag #futureteammates being used a few times. Imrie also asked if any contact has been made to which Jonny replied he would phone him tomorrow! Surely not St. Mirren?
