  1. Having had a couple of days to think about this abomination the only additional thought I've had is that this is step one in a move to part time status.

It only makes sense for a part time club to do this. Players cannot make training in the evening if they have a bigger commute to make and it would severely limit the playing pool. Despite 'Drake's' protestations there is nothing else logical about this.

So what happens with our contracted young players? Do they train by themselves in Inverness thus splintering the group and not leaving enough players for proper training or are they forced to relocate?

What happens to the players already based in Inverness? Do they have to move?

Is the stadium going to be open during the week? Will there be a club shop?

Are we essentially funding a promotion charge for a rival? Imagine if Kelty go up because we've bosted their budget.

We cannot be a community club if we are not in the community.

What happens to all the school visits etc that players do?  If they're not in Inverness all of that work will cease driving yet another wedge between the club and city.

  4. Its absolutely wild that we were relegated 3 days ago and yet there hasn't been a peep from the club.  Not even a holding statement or an acknowledgement as to what has happened.

We shouldn't be surprised but that is farcical.

Even before considering any merits or otherwise of either, it would be ludicrous to have people on their salaries whilst in League 2 so both have to go, I just hope we can afford the payoffs without it putting us into administration..

  6. That was just terrible and the worst thing about it is that I'm not even angry right now. I just feel complete apathy as we've been heading this way all season.

One of the biggest games in the clubs history and that's what we produce.  Gutless, spineless, hopeless.

It was galling to see so little heart on display but we shouldn't be surprised with so many loan players. They don't have to deal with the consequences of this.

If it wasn't obvious before then it's crystal clear now that Duncan Ferguson is no manager.  He needs cleared down the A9 tonight. From bizarre selections, ostracised players and bringing them in from the cold (Samuels anyone) and the spectacle of completely blanking players in public its clear that management is not for him.

I have no idea what's going to happen now but the CEO can join him ona one way ticket South.

Continued calls for Mcgregor. Schrodinger cat.

It's not, certainly not from me anyway.  The point of calling for him to be introduced is that he's a different type of player to our other midfielders.  Anderson and Gilmour are basically the same player with the same skills etc. We don't need both.  Roddy may not be at the level he was previously before injuries but we won't know until he plays.  We're crying out for someone that can get close to the forwards or run beyond and that's part of Roddy's skillset.  He's the only currently available option that can do that hence why posters are calling for him.

We're perfectly well aware he's not the messiah.

  8. Yet again we're hamstrung by our manager and his bizarre team selections and mentality. He just about got it right by the end.

The one saving grace is that Hamilton look really poor.  They're considerably worse than every team we've played in the Championship and they are there for the taking.

We need to be proactive on Saturday. Starts needed for Lawal, Pepple, Carragher and either Macgregor/Macallister depending on fitness.

  9. Even worse than feared.  Everything is so slow, our midfield look like they're running in treacle.  Nothing against Gilmour but he's barely half fit, I just can't fathom the decision to parachute him straight in after 3 months out. We need to see Lawal & Macgregor as Anderson is blowing too.

This one is on the manager. It's been coming.

We need a full time employee to run the club, whether or not it is him. Also worth bearing in mind that it would probably cost a 5 figure sum to pay him off, at a time when we have no money.

I don't believe our CEO is actually a direct employee of the club. From my understanding he's contracted as a consultant (and he's not the only one).

  11. That was wild. On another night we could have won that 4 or 5-1.

Still think our biggest issue is a lack of midfielders running past Samuel when Mckay drops deep, it means we have to keep going sideways and letting the opponent get organised.

Thought Mcallister was outstanding once the 2nd half got going.  His ability to carry the ball could be useful in the final 2/6 matches now that he's fit again.

I'm not calling for the managers head however the longer things go on the worse we get.

If you remove the new manager bounce where we picked up 12 points from 7 matches we've then picked up just 11 points from our next 12 which is relegation form.  Since we were able to make signings on January our point per game has been decreasing, we've come out of January with a weaker squad than the one that started the month.  The board and manager need to take the blame for that.

Our last wins v Ayr and Raith also came with Carson and Welsh (Raith only) playing.  Read into that what you will.

  14. Other than losing a late goal tonight couldn't have gone any worse. We absolutely had to win at least one of these games against Arbroath and Dunfermline and we've not done that. We are nailed on for 9th.  A lopsided squad with a manager who is resistant to change.

The reason for pursuing additional sources of income is so that we actually have a full-time, competitive club for them to run.

Correct.  However, this means building good relationships with local businesses to secure additional commercial income or benefits. Not shafting them with side projects that go bust leaving them out of pocket.  It means looking into membership schemes, hiring out of facilities on a more regular business - the nuts and bolts of running a football club.

It is not pursuing risky projects which take money and time.  Projects which are diverting time and resource of people working for the club.

  16. Highland Council covering themselves in glory yet again. If I understand it correctly certain people were asked to recuse themselves due to potentially having a conflict of interest (e.g. having been to a match in the home end). The council are now calling it in due to not enough inverness people voting.  Pretty shambolic and bordering on shady.

Regardless, I'm utterly fed up of our chairman and CEO and these projects.  I wish they would just concentrate on the nuts and bolts of running a football club rather than than these expensive and time consuming schemes.  The concert company was a fiasco and this is potentially heading the same way.

  17. Our January transfer dealings looking more and more bizarre by the match.  So much focus spent on bringing in new defenders when that clearly wasn't the problem.  We have one of the best defensive records in the division and the players brought in are no improvement on what we had. We still have no creativity with the likes of Roddy Mcgregor not getting a kick.  You have to question what on earth the actual plan is.

Bim Pepple in on loan from Luton. striker.

Slightly underwhelming.  He couldn't get a game in the National League so struggling to see what he might add other than being another body in the squad.

Overall I think we're relying on far too many loans. I can only think the plan is to use these short term signings as a stop gap to a total overhaul in the summer.

  19. In isolation these signings seem to be fine but when you look at the squad you have to question what's going on on.  We now have far too many defenders (10) so I can only assume that there will be a couple more out the door.

Seen we are linked with Ben Wilson from Cliftonville. Think this would be a good signing. Young and a great goalscorer. Still think we should be looking to add some creativity

Interesting one this.  Our previous signings from the Irish Premiership flopped but this is a different scenario altogether.  Curtis Allen and Darren Mcauley had been playing Irish League for a few years and we didnt have any competition.  Ben has just turned 21 and spent 5 years at Brighton before coming back to NI in the summer so he's had a good grounding. He's attracted a fair bit interest and a few teams have contacted Cliftonville to express their interest so I would have my doubts we could get him.  Perhaps Big Dunc's name might be a big enough pull but he's certainly an interesting prospect.

  21. Sickened to lose that one so late on.  We looked really organised, some excellent possession football but absolutely no cutting edge. We desperately need more pace in midfield and in the forward areas.  If we get that we'll be fine. It was particularly grating to hear Billy Dodds talk about our poor bench and the lack of options to change the game considering its his squad.

Not convinced on throwing Carragher in from the start, think he was culpable for the goal along with Ridgers who went down in stages.

Gutting to lose but it highlights the urgency on bringing in a couple of additional midfield/attacking players.
