Tennis can be completely enthralling or pretty boring depending on who's playing and what their form's like. But if you find it as boring or cricket or bowls (which are deathly) then wtf are you doing on this thread?
-
Tennis gets interesting, at last.
That is interesting as all the tennis fans are complaining that footie fans are invading their sport...

Flipping Serbs and Croats! Thats the second day they've been fighting, here's a report from the first day, when Serbs started jeering Croats at Ancic's match and went looking for trouble at Delic's match afterwards. Must be hard fighting in flipflops!
And they still keep voting for each other in Eurovision!!!
But you can imagine 40 degree heat, relentless sun, and alcohol might lead to trouble. Remember Denmark?
Andy's R3 match is on Hisense Arena tomorrow at 8.30am. Melzer will give him a harder go than any of his other opponents which is great as he needs a few hard matches before ripping Federer to bits in the final. I'm getting up for 3am ish for my other fave and I expect to be quite drunk by the time the footie kicks off in the afternoon :thumb04:
-
The boy's doing good. He can rip Federer a new one in three sets, it's got to the stage it's almost embarrassing to watch now! He's beaten everyone, his fitness is amazing and he's up for it.
Cmon Andy you can do it!!!
thanks to Clydey on MTF for the pic!

Although I don't think it's a good idea to go backwards, It won't be me starting the Robbo... NOOOOOOO thread :thumb04:
Not to go off topic but the list of candidates seems of a much quality this time round, might be easier for the Board to knock back Robbo if they get a "big" name involved.
-
I also think it's a bad idea to go back (although Robbo is tempting) so I voted Terry Butcher.
-
One things for sure, wherever Brewster goes in the future I doubt he will be trying to sign Blackie
One things for sure - wherever Brewster goes in the future there's no way he'll ever be in a position to sign Blackie even if he wanted to

Well, Andy got a WO since his opponent retired. I've been up since midnight watching tennis, how fantastic is that!!! All my boys won :thumb04: Lets hope my Inverness boys start winning too now!

Just got back to work after a having a tooth out
When a pal emailed to say she'd heard it on the radio at which point the whole office found out.
And so begins the first day of the rest of our lives... we can let go of all the hate and memories of treachery and he can get his CV together for the Elgin job. :thumb04:
-
oops! Still a bit drunk i think i voted for the wrong one and cant change it! so take one off him staying and move it to him out now
Brewster off the bus
:018: ;)
So the only person prepared to admit they voted to keep him was drunk and made a mistake :thumb04:

wonder if Mr Smith was Safety Officer that day?
Mr Smith is on holiday I believe so dont think it can be laid at his door .... someone other than Mike normally acts as safety officer now although he does take charge if the other person is unavailable.
Cheers Scotty He's obviously taught them well :thumb04:
-
Oh, and fortunately for him, he looks nothing like you Weestie

John Martin's one of the most intelligent and provocative guys you're likely to meet! If he's been asked to remove a national flag then I would expect EVERYONE who takes a national flag to a game to be made to remove them. This is such an obvious example of the club 's BULLYING mentality towards the fans, wonder if Mr Smith was Safety Officer that day?
Personally I find it totally offensive that a Union Flag is flown anywhere in Scotland, and as such I now expect the stewards to remove every single one from the next match with Rangers
-
You looking forward to us being back in the 1st Division Charles? Guess it means you might to cover more of our matches... any talk of it yet in the Heathie?
-
Good thread Davie :thumb04: You didn't disappoint me
-
just seems that more people are on the same wavelength as you these days .......
Aye there's always loads more drink consumed at this time of year
-
It would be better crack for the players to do that to Brewster, haul him up to the North Stand at half time and ask him to explain his tactics to the fans
-
It's just all doom and gloom for Christmas :thumb04:
-
I heard Robbo had applied for it
-
Poor Robbie
Their discipline's been shocking this season :thumb04:
-
Doesn't sound like I've been missing very much
But have you been missed very much? :thumb04: :018:
By one or two people yes
-
I've not been to a game since Mike Smith mortally offended me the day we relegated the Pars. Doesn't sound like I've been missing very much

What a fantastic post
I've switched to listening to Open All Mikes because you're hilarious and Scott Davie and Brian Irvine just pi55 me off with their relentless ICT bashing ;) And because you gave me my best day in football (when we won the 1st division) and my worst day in football (the day you left) (and my 2nd best day in football when we beat Hearts at Tynie :018: what a mess we were in :thumb04: ) I'm not even going to ask you any questions - even though I have loads - just wish you luck for the future and hope that you manage to find a good club to manage preferably a ten minute drive from your house

What! No Andy Murray Thread?
in General Nonsense
Posted
Pretty strong display, I'm just a wee bit worried that no one has really pushed him yet. Maybe there just isn't anyone to push him to his limits though! I've a sneaky feeling that Gilles Simon, if he gets past Monfils, will take out Nadal but even he's never been able to push Murray and he seems to be the other form player at the moment.
Interesting times!
And yes, he's deadly on a hard court at the moment, grass is an entirely different affair though. Maybe check his odds for the US Open instead :018:
Bet it goes down a treat when you post that you hate them or find them boring :thumb04:
