  1. Oh dear Mr Bannerman, I see your finally over your beloved labour party being given a sound doing in the last two Scottish Parliment elections and are furiously towing the party line in not even being able to say the word Independance :)

Separation: ooooh very scary. That's me convinced. :)

  2. Except there's no difference between fortunate and lucky. Maybe you had to be there , but being fortunate missed chances didn't cost us doesn't mean the win was lucky!. Suggest you don't overanalyse things ;)

DOH again - I never said it was lucky - I said that we were fortunate and Lady Luck was with us. But thank you for your concern

Lol , welcome. So fortunate, not lucky but in the presence of lady luck, nice!

Anyone at the game would probably agree we were not fortunate to win, it was fully deserved. It could though be argued we were fortunate that our misses didn't cost us the win, but it still doesn't make it a lucky win in my book.

there is a subtle difference between fortunate and lucky and I am afraid as a forever optimist you have fallen in to the contradicting yourself characteristic - we were not fortunate to win / we were fortunate - suggest that you try and be more relective

  4. Tokely and proctor were pretty immense today, G Shinnie is having a great season, and with the likes of Hogg and Gillet to come back, we should be ok. Right back is a bit of a problem for me but given a run without too many injuries I think we will fine. :)

  5. Forans miss was worse than all of Tade's put together, it was easier to score!. Gotta love Tade though, he gives absolutely everything and despite the misses today he popped up with the winner so that'll do nicely thanks.

If Butcher is reading this though, please just have him training one on one with the keepers for the rest of the season because if he starts taking just half the chances he gets he'll score 20 plus.

Andrew Shinnie, who I haven't taken to yet really, had his best game yet and fully deserved man of match award.

All in it's reinvigorated my belief that we can have a

successful season but id like to see Mackay or Sutherland playing alongside big Tade.

  6. We've played pretty well again today and lots of positives to take from the game, but I've come out feeling like we've lost, such was our dominance with chances superabundant.

Not knocking Tade as he played well again but he's missed two one on ones, Foran's had a great chance, and Andrew Shinnie, who was pretty poor today, should've scored from a yard out if he'd only used his right foot.

On the plus side, Davis looks very good, the back four didnt look too bad and even Chippendale showed up well in what little time he had.

Wouldve been nice to boost the confidence further with the win but with the missed chances, we got what we deserved really.

  7. Good performance really despite shooting into the north stand in the first half which just feels wrong!

Excellent stuff in the first half, heads went down though after killie scored a peach very much against the run of play. The third goal was always going to win it and despite a couple of dodgy moments at the back when we tried to let killie score, thankfully G Shinnie kept his cool and slotted home a deserved winner.

Our injury problems are beyond a joke after today but with the likes of Mackay and Tansey not far away we could do ok and I thought Tade looked excellent today so maybe things could come together soon.

  8. Can't say that line up exactly looks like producing goals .

Butcher gonna take pelters for the sweeping squad changes and hes wide open for it but there's no escaping the fact we are ravaged with injuries and could struggle for some time yet. I'm not hitting the panic button yet anyway but think this could be a long season if we don't get players back that can gel quickly.

  9. Esson's been in the lead for ages - worth noting that he's been voted Man of the match (ie getting the 5pts) 10 times and picked up at least a point in 21 of the 40 matches we've played up to the end of April. And out of 1377 votes, he's been voted for 573 times, 42% of all the votes cast this season! Now that's consistency.

Worth noting that we now have a full starting XI from our Player of the Year winners - Esson in goal, Golly, Rossco and Bobby at the back, Cowie, Blackie, Robson, Keogh and Jonny Hayes in midfield, and Dargo and Wilson up

    front. Now that's some team!

:) I forgot Keogh got it! Aye some team though

  10. I didn't think you could appeal a straight red ??

Anyway, I thought it was very harsh and am absolutely gutted for Russell. He was playing well, on a great run that should've brought a penalty and Mair acts like a complete **** when Duncan barges him with his chest. I never seen a punch but obviously looking forward to highlights.

  11. Just think of the money that could be saved by not blowing up half the middle east and getting shot of trident.!

Anyway, pondering the fate if bases if we became independent in say 5 or more years time seems strange when the coalition in London will probably have got rid of most by august!

  12. Couldn't get to the game but listened to the 2nd half on the BBC. Obviously it was a terrific performance from the whole team, but I have a question for those who saw the game either live or on the box. Foran was not in the side today and I wonder whether others think that was a factor in a better team performance? Over the season there have been differing views regarding Foran and his

captaincy in particular. Would the team be better if it was Munro who stayed and Foran who left?

Think that's a bit harsh really. Forans put in some great shifts this season against both sides of the old firm and we also never had him last weekend and we were stinking.

I think tonight we had a real go against a team under pressure and our players and fans were relaxed with nothing much to lose and a few points to prove. A terrific performance and I don't ever recall playing such a 'big' game without feeling any pressure at all throughout.

On the negative, Rooneys won a few more admirers with that show :(

  13. Whilst obviously very difficult decisions with long serving players, I actually agree with all but the Russell Duncan exit.

Opinion on Duncan seems split between hero or zero on CTO but I see him firmly in the hero camp and he'll be difficult to replace.

I know Munro was deemed too slow by some within the club but homegrown talent like Grant doesn't come along often and I hope we find a long term replacement at centre

half rather than a short term or loan signing.

Best wishes to them all anyway

  14. I think the S.N.P have done very well as a minority government and Alex Salmond deserves another term as First Minister. I'll vote S.N.P with both votes .

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with a minority government but what strikes me about the SNP ministers is their genuine passion for Scotland and will to improve things.

I also don't buy into the unionist doomsday view on independence.I find it very patronising . This is an election to choose the next government at Holyrood. Independence would be decided in a referendum of the people and I don't see why anyone should fear or be denied their right to choose, whatever their view.

  15. Hate to rub salt into the wounds but the weather is now warm and sunny with a light breeze to dry out the ground. Wish they could have left it a little bit longer before calling the game off. :annoyed:

If it's anything Like a few weeks back it'll be a day or so before it's playable.
