  1. Regarding Vigours he is long overdue a run in the team . He gives us composure in midfield and has a great range of passing . I think he could prove to be the most talented youngster to come through our youth system.

did he not come from elgin city? so isnt our youth product??

he played first team football at elgin age 15 to 17 plus playing under 17's at elgin along with garry wood then signed for caley and played under 19's for two seasons. so he was part of the ICT youth system for two years.

  2. Fraser

    Tokely Duff Hastings

    Cowie McBain Black Imrie

    Rooney Barrowman Wilson

i'd keep the same team that played falkirk with maybe one change, lets see if its a winning combination...to many changes after a win isn't good, consistency is what is needed in football. I do agree with the attacking football having to be played especially at home but changing the team and tatics too much week in week out doesn't produce much stability.

this is how i'd play it at home with Cowie playing off the two strikers with a more free roll

    Fraser

    Tokley Duff McGuire Hastings

    McBain Black Vigurs

    Cowie

    Rooney Barrowman/Wood

  4. think both deserve a run of games. for both to show so much quality so early, think how much they will/could improve with regular starts every week. the best thing about these two is they have come through the youth system. i say the club connot afford not to give these guys a chance.

  5. well done lads, I was at the game today. thought the youngsters were superb. spot on with the team selection. midfield controlled the game, that would be my midfield selection every week, kept the ball very well. duffers and vigurs are just going to get better and better if given the run of games they very much deserve. well done dougie..great goal.

  6. I am interested to hear fans views on what team and formation Brew will go with on Saturday At Falkirk

This is the team i would go with: (4-4-2)

    Fraser

    Tokely Duff Munro/Proctor Hastings

    Imrie Black Cowie Vigurs/Wilson

    Barrowman and Rooney

Subs: Esson, McGuire, Sutherland, Woods and McAllister

    i would go with 4-4-2

    Fraser

    Tokley Duff Munro Hastings

    Cowie Black Vigurs Wilson

    Barrowman Rooney

unfortunately i think Imrie is far off form, i was at the game on wed and he had a horrible time of it when he came on. i thought wilson and vigurs were superb. i think we should play vigurs more often this season as the boy clearly a touch of class about him, plus he has an eye for goal, something we've been missing from midfield. also i thought duff put in a solid performance, deserves to keep his place for the falkirk game.

  7. Duncan aint the best of players.

But we do notice when he's not there.

    I do miss him!

i agree, he might not be the most gifted of players but he provides a lot of cover in that midfield which is missed when he doens't play.

  8. My sources say he's been training in Perth for last few weeks and will likely sign so it is possible he could be SPL next season :023:

yeah he was, however, i think he has a deal with an existing spl club which isn't Gretna..  :014:

  9. he was a flop there last season.

He will prob head back to the central belt as thats where he is from.

    My bet hmm.....Raith Rovers

I've heard from very reliable source which i won't be mentioning he will be almost 100% staying in the spl.  Morgs is technically a very capable footballer and just needs to get his head down and should have no problem competing in the spl.

  10. Was Vigurs any good?  I've heard he could be a great player in the future.

I've seen Iain vigurs play many times in the reserves...he certainly is one to look out for, his best position is definitely central midfield.  great player with unlimited potential

  11. I wouldn't say blackie is the best we've got but he certainly is up there, to let him go would be a mistake as he is a big part of the team.

one thing i don't understand is, what's the big deal about blackie having passion..the midfield area of the park is a battle...aggression is one of the main attributes to winning that battle and blackie has that to his game and i personally welcome any player to the club that has that bite and grit in their game.  getting booked and sent off is part of the game.

  12. It's never a good idea to boo any player from the Team you support.

But ....... if you MUST boo someone, then McAllister is probably an excellent choice.

"if you must boo someone"...think your missing the point mate....you don't boo anyone, your called a supporter for a reason!!  there is no excellent choice!!  i think you should reevaluate what your saying....

Looks like I'll have to say it again.........

What about the majority of the "support" who booed the entire Team off the pitch after the Motherwell game.

What about the majority of posters on this unrepresentative site who constantly criticise Brewster and practically every player in our squad.

    We pay our money.

We can boo or cheer whoever we want.

The players are professionals and if they can't put up with it they're in the wrong job.

i understand you pay your money, however,

the players job is to play football, not to put up with ignorant fans that have nothing better to do than to go out on a Saturday afternoon to criticise and boo the team and individual players they supposedly say they support just to get a few pitiful kicks from smashing a players confidence before he even steps onto the park.  if your saying money justifies that then your a sad individual im sorry to say.

  14. no wonder Fraser did what he did...with fans(not all fans) like that no wonder...do these so called 'fans' understand the meaning of the words fan and support????

as for the booing of Rory..that's just outta order, he needs support, how is he to progress as a young player if his own fans boo him everytime he has ten minutes on the pitch to try and make an impact...how about these ppl show the maturity he is showing by not reacting to the immaturity of some of the fans

  15. i think what the fans need to do is get behind the players and manager and give them full support...as for sophia's comments about ian black...absolute rubbish...he has improved and and he'll carry on doing so, that's what good players do and he's a good player with a lot of potential.

what is it you have against this player, and who do you think at the club at the moment would be better placed in his position....?? :029:
