  1. If something unseemly has occurred, surely if the club are investigating the "incident" they should tell fans, where it happened, when it happened and what the allegation is, so that fans can confirm or deny the "incident" occurred. Seems strange not to ask for witnesses to alleged wrongdoing.

  2. So, SPFL rules,  the game didn't happen as there is no points won.

In their rules SPFL say they are bound by UEFA rules and decisions;  The obvious precedent is Celtic v Legia Warsaw in 2014.
But as most expect, SPFL would rather find a big carpet and a big brush.

  3. amazing how people see football.

lopez was in the sunday mail premiership team of the day scoring 9/10.

now if hughes started talking him up Aberdeen would come and take him off our hands.... hopefully

...and that is yet another reason to refuse to buy the SM and Record, their coverage outside of Glasgow is diabolical. Anyone who gave Lopez more than a 4(for putting his shirt on correctly) was clearly not at the game or knows nothing about the game.  Those "papers" are full of misinformation from front page to the back page.

  4. Felt a wee bit robbed at the end. 1st half was good. Polworth and Christie were top dogs in 1st half. Good quick acurate passing from a makeshift, but effective defence and most of midfield. Cracking save from Williams was all he had to do, bar a couple of punches to clear corners, and waste time at goal kicks, to the annoyance of the Saint J fans. 2nd half, ICT seemed to be playing within themselves without any great threat except for hitting post and couple close shots from Devine and Christie(who was unfairly booked in last minutes. After we all thought Collum had lost his cards!!)  Sutherland looked a real livewire when he came on, scared the bits out of the St J central defenders with his pace. Pretty good display overall...for a team of 9 men!!
Mutombo gets the benefit of the doubt, due to being in need of match time(but, he didn't beat many with ball at his feet, scared of a challenge, and, apart from 1 attempt on half time, looking for the glory touch or shot) Lopez? WTF!  Some folks were telling me this was a big improvement from him, by god, he must have been diabolical in previous games. 1st touch, tackle, passing, pace, runs are somethings missing from his game today( apart from 1(ONE) through ball). looks as unfit as myself. It was noticable that other players seemed shy of passing the ball to Lopez and Mutombo,. I can't see what Lopez offers as a lone striker.  But I have been wrong before.

    Interesting co-incidences  :-

    1. I have my Scottish bank account (RBS) in Burnside, Rutherglen. That's where I worked before emigrating to Canada.

    2. My father as born at Goole very close to the Humber river.

Know either location? Have you heard of  Blacktoft, also very  close to the river Humber?

Only just moved to the area to live, but if I remember correctly Blacktoft is North of the river. I am sure I drove there for work a few times in a previous life. We are south of the river. Wife has family in Goole though.

  6. Away on honeymoon 9th - 31st July, so really could do with us winning the Scottish Cup... then getting past the 16/23 July tie, so I can make a European away day!

Don't let a wee thing like a honeymoon stop you.  I was on honeymoon and d̶r̶a̶g̶g̶e̶d̶ ̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶k̶ ̶    asked wife if she wanted to go to league cup tie v Annan a few years ago. She understood , and let me go.

  7.

From Ulceby North Lincolnshire,  via a week near Creetown in Galloway. A sober one, as I will have my 3 boys with me as the Auld yin will have to dog sit in Rutherglen!!

You not letting her come then? Booooooooo

I have said to her to not take the dogs on holiday, but she insists on taking them. So, she will have to look after them.  The boys will have more luck in keeping me under control anyway.

  8. What a dangerous dangerous precedent this will set. The game will never be the same again if this is allowed to happen.  Every losing team in every game now have the right to write a letter, point out a foul that wasn't given before a goal, a penalty that wasn't given, etc. If, for example, as happened recently, Dundee Utd played Celtic 4 times in 2 weeks, what is to now stop one of the teams writing a letter after 1st game and cite a bad foul that went unpunished, and get a top player banned for the next game? Then the other team does it for the next game?  Absolute farce. Expect nothing less from SFA.

      And the officials?

  9. Just been looking at train times from West Yorkshire and I can't get to Glasgow and back on the same day. Anyone driving up. From this directional fancy a passenger?

I have just moved from West Yorks, but I am on holiday in Galloway anyway that day. But,  Megabus. Leave Leeds 6am>>Glasgow 11.45>>>pub>>Hampden>>depart Glasgow 7pm>>Leeds 0.45am.   Long day but doable
