  1. Can someone change the title of this thread if its to stay open?

The "Matchday" was days ago.....

    ... While I'm on...

Fair enough, Lionel had a total shocker.... as did quite a few!

I totally disagree with Caley "supporters" booing him when he got the ball..

Thats not going to help the situation......

  2. Personally I think either Jaws or The Emperors Battle March before they come out then merge into something powerful such as the 1888 Overture. Then just as the match kicks off, 'accidentally' play The William Tell Overture.

Emperors Battle March would be the best!

  3. Whilst I appreciate that their needs to be a cut-off date to guarantee a seat for practical reasons (being able to book a bus or whatever), I don't buy the whole "financially viable" argument.

Supporters Clubs take membership fees off people and hold events to raise funds and those funds should be used to subsidise buses when those travelling don't cover the costs of the bus/extra bus. In fact, that's exactly what happens when there's only small numbers travelling. Do you think for one second that Kath would not run any bus and upset the "clique"? No, they run a bus regardless and everyone else subsidises the "faces that fit" who want to go to a game when numbers are low.

Also, let's do the maths -

    50 people on a coach paying ?12/head = ?600

    Even allowing ?450 for hiring a coach that's a ?150 surplus.

You could hire and fuel a minibus for little more than that, not to mention the ?12/head you would get from the additional travellers.

    Thanks for the maths lesson!!

Firstly, running a minibus costs the same for the drivers wages & not much less in fuel, granted, the hire of the bus costs less, but does it cover costs?

Second point, if you can find a reliable bus company that can service all areas at ?450... please let us know, thinking how far some away grounds are & how long they take to get there....

Good point, of the regulars on the bus, will you still use the bus to go dingwall or make your own way?

I dont think it is viable to run a bus to County...

I think I am correct in saying there will not be a supporters club bus to Dingwall...

There are plenty of buses (Service 25 @ 25mins past & 45 mins past the hour) & trains ( at 13.32 & 13.59) from the town centre.

  5. For those not at the game....

    This was CD's t-shirt.... ;)

Why do the words Demis Roussos keep filling my head ..... oh no, the voices, the voices ...........

    Oh, I forgot to say..

CaleyD said if anyone wanted to send him a shirt he would wear it!

    PM him for his address!

  6. I think you did great! ;)

If the people in the north stand got a bit more enthusiastic & if there were more people in at that time....it would have worked much better... Would it be an idea to try & organise more "pre-match" entertainment to encourage people to arrive early? (The down side of this would be no pies or drinks at half-time... thats another thread!)

Also, I think it would be good to announce the away attandance - I thinks ours was shouted out at Hamilton(?) and its good to know (sometimes!).

Could you try & get a bit of "banter" with the away fans?

    Keep up the good work!

  7. Just had a Press Release from the club regarding Season Tickets

For anyone who hasn't renewed or purchased their Season Ticket for this year the challenge is now set....can we get them done before Saturday? Would be great to be able to announce at our first home game that we have more season ticket sales this season than we did last.

    :021: :021: :021:

    :clapping03: :clapping03:

Well done everyone. I think we proved a lot of people, myself included wrong, there may not be as many glory hunters at TCS as I thought.

Great news about the increase in kids ticket sales too, the future's bright, the future's ICT.

Well put. I think this is a real sign that the people of inverness and the surrounding areas want to get behind the team and help get us back into the SPL.

Not that I want to p!ss on anyones parade....

BUT, in the story it says that there are a 20% more children than last year... how many are "free" or ?25 per year tickets? :021:

Its easy enough getting bums on seats at that price - but at the end of the day, its down to profits for the club....
