  1. Reading have been fabtastic since the sixth minute, they have taken the game to United and but for the bar would have taken the game to extra time. At times they ripped United open and deserved better.

  2. From BBC site and tm4tj memory:-

But Celtic's new line-up fell behind following a superb move started by Ross Tokely.

Black swept the ball wide to Wilson, who ghosted past Mark Wilson and sent in a low cross that was steered home by Bayne from six yards.

Toklers slid the ball forward from the corner of his box to Black in the inside right position on halfway, he sold the defender a dummy big style, then fed Wilson on the left, he cut inside then turned the defender inside out before delivering a low cross into the box where Bayne met the ball perfectly from six yards to complete the move.

  3. I think you are pretty close there Hairy, maybe even Caff will get a bit of the game as well.

Building for next year is now the priority................out with the old, and in with the new. whilst still remaining competitive.

It's a fine balance but one that needs to start now.

  4. He just wasn't quite good enough for us. Unfortunately he arrived at the same time as Blackie, and hehas gone from strength to strength............bookings aside................whereas Foxy ....bless him.........never produced the goods when given the opportunity.

Hope he continues to progress, as he obviously has some potential................he is just a bit slower at peaking than others, his time may well come.

  5. TheMann4thejobs bar will be open from 10:00 on Sunday (earlier by request) to wet your whistles with shouting juice for the Celtic game.

Bring your own juice and soak up the pre match atmosphere, blues and red'n'blacks welcome, no greens.

Try the drums or play the guitar, the choice is yours, you can sing as well if you are up to it.

  6. Song for Guy

    Elton John

Song for Guy' was a tribute to a Rocket Records motorcycle messenger, Guy Burchett, who was killed in a road accident. It was on Elton John's 1979 'A Single Man'

    heres the words:-

    well................it was an instrumental

    apart from

Now, 'Song for Guy' is a tune that is mainly instrumental. For 3 minutes 40 seconds it is lyric beats and scaling piano rhythms. Then right at the end, for a little over a minute, (and just when the sun appears to have set) Elton utters over and over again 'Life isn't everything'. Which I suppose you can take two ways. Either as a sombre statement, or as a gesture of affirmation that there is something after you die.

maybe we will hear it at TCS this year.

  7. Dream on...................you will be telling us next that your sister will serve the drinks in the departure lounge :023:

Meanwhile, back in the pilots seat for ICT Euro adventure, co-pilot airbornejake was checking his dipstick.....

Pilot Douglas Bader was heard to utter "these poor guys won't have a leg to stand on" imagine getting Barcelona away in the first round...............bring it on

On the return flight he said he said, "who would have thought Rossco's overhead kick from the halfway line would have completed his hat-trick"............"take me home Jake, footballers wives will be waiting at Dalcross"
