  1. tm4tj, arms outstretched like a Lancaster bomber on a mission, pulls his T shirt over his head and sprints round the house........across the living room, into the hall, up the stairs and round the bedrooms, back downstairs through the kitchen and dives full length across the conservatory floor, coming up just short of the aviary doors, the cockatiels scattering madly as if joining in the frenzied celebrations..............the sweet taste of success lingering on his now moist lips, his tingling brain writing the victory speech ( I'd like to thank my manager, and praising Hairy Chipper and gringo for making a fist of it up to the last game) and anyone else who knows me, beads of sweat forming on his now moistened brow he recalls every game, every goal and every kick of the ball, the memories will stay with him forever, then without warning the eerie silence is broken with a shrill voice penetrating his mind..............go and get dressed ya stupid old git and get the kettle on...................Mrs m4tj and zogg, staring in bewilderment at this prostrate being lost in the moment and wondering what will happen when the world cup ends, where will he get his fix................ :017:

  2. So chibberooney, down to the last game, and Scotty is keeping the results close to his chest. Must be some match fixing going on.  I was hoping to see the results in before the final, then I could have played for a draw, but who knows I may be behind now? :010:

    game on

  3. Banjo's are simple to play, I heard you can even play them leaning on a lampost on the corner of the street whilst watching mee go by.........oh mee..........oh my :017:

  4. Really :010:

Think I will stick with my live music.

People playing records just does not have the same appeal.

Imagine that, sticking a record on the gramaphone in the living room and people watching you.....amazing.

  5. Mee, being a very patriotic person, you are obviously a big runrig fan and seem unable to tear yourself away from the bagpipe and fiddle to the real world of music that Hamish is trying to unleash upon you. :016:

  6. The other side of the coin is that tha money we could accrue by holding on to them in terms of getting further in the cups, higher up the league, more revenue from TV rights, bigger crowds etc, would more than counterbalance the loss in terms of releasing them when they are out of contract for zilch.

  7. chris, you worry too much, everyone is untried at SPL level until they get a game in the SPL.  Rankin will be as good as what we already have. Most of our present players were only 'first division' players before we got promoted. There is no gap between the decent first division players and players who play for teams like us. Remember Celtic and Rangers pay millions for some of their players and they are not always worth that extra five million pounds.

Poor Charlie, he can't do anything right for doing something wrong in some eyes.  I don't think we have done anything wrong in bringing Rankin to iCT, he will not disappoint, trust me, but don't expect him to bring instant success.  And this is the year for Charlie to be appraised, given a whole season in charge and playing the way he wants the team to.

  8. Quite frankly he needs a boot up the erse. That must be the worst attempt by anyone to play tennis, it's as though he can't be ersed because it's not his balls, once again his attitude stinks. Get the finger out laddie, you are playing rubbish and just don't look interested.

Or are you just wanting a five setter?

  9. He has started at snails pace, not the same conviction he had when he played Roddick. If he does not wake up soon, the histrionics will start and he will be out sooner rather than later.

    Wake up son ffs

  10. Tough luck on Rossco.  The buddies will be pleased if he misses the start of the season, but as said above, we have decent cover for Rossco, although I would rather have him in the team than sitting in the stand. It may well be one of those lingering injuries, but lets leave that to the doctor and the medics to decide whats best for him.

  11. Last few games were poor scorers apart from a 50 pointer for Germany Argentina draw.

Frogs were the biggest upset for me, 5 pointer, strangely enough I thought about altering my post to a draw, but left it at 2-0 to Brazil. Semis all European affairs, could be unpredictable, but here are my predictions.....

    uh oh.....hel..... si nal is get ing w ak.....losing con ec ion........Germny  -  Ita y and Por ug l  -  Fr n e.

Should be enough to keep me ahead of you guys.

    enjoy

  12. I see that Beckham is stepping down as England captain................he would be as well stepping down as an England player.

David Beckham has decided to step down as England captain after holding the role for six years.

But the Real Madrid star does want to to continue his international career.

Beckham revealed his decision at England's final press conference in Germany in the wake of their World Cup quarter-final defeat by Portugal.

The 31-year-old midfielder said: "I feel the time is right to pass on the armband as we enter a new era under new coach Steve McClaren."

  13. Henry cheated big time in front of probably 80 million viewers, went down a long way in my books.

The point of me posting, bit of a set to at the end of the Germany Argentina game.......what was that all about.

Oh Harry, did you forget to post your scores for the Germany game :015:
