  1. I was in the South Stand on Saturday and didn't encounter any cattle herding.  My guess is whoever complained objected to waiting in the rain and would rather the club had ignored Covid compliance and rushed everyone in. Bringing stewards up from Glasgow though wasn't the brightest idea. Could they not have used backroom staff? It's not as if there was likely to be any crowd trouble.

  2. I may be missing something but I'm curious how season ticket renewal prices can be announced before the play offs. I trust the board aren't forgetting a certain statement from 2 years ago or are they just confident we won't get promoted?

    • A higher than originally offered discount of 10% on season tickets (for holders) when we return to the Premier League (we acknowledge that there are no guarantees here).
  3. Disappointing but not surprising 2nd half so far. The difference in league positions is showing now. Unfortunately our season long inability to defend cross balls and total lack of a competent right back has been our undoing again but lets face it, who at the start of the season would have thought we would be in the Cup semi final?

  4. I bet if we had been a goal down there wouldn't have been 6 minutes added time. The only surprise is Dunfermline didn't get a penalty. Still on a great unbeaten run but that does seem a small crumb of comfort just now. Time to become temporary Dumbarton supporters.

  5. Lack of fitness may be an issue but I would say lack of ability is more concerning.  Even average players should have the skill, vision and intelligence to avoid  having to run about like headless chickens for 90 mins. It's basic Primary School coaching, make the ball do the work. When was the last time any of our opponents looked tired after an hour?

I get the impression he'd just stand there and watch the ball go past him into the net - even more than last season!

Quite possibly but if we're stuck with him we should at least try and get something for our money. Don't know if there is a way to sack a footballer if he refuses to play or not but he couldn't be worse than the present incumbent between the sticks.

  7. Seems to me our tactics are to aimlessly hoof the ball up to Mulraney and let him run until he falls over. Injuries aren't helping though, there can't be many teams who could do well with losing players like Warren Tremarco and Doran, but surely the question of why we have had so many injuries these past seasons needs to be answered. The situation however is not helped by a management team who with a couple of exceptions have signed or persist with a load of 3rd rate players who couldn't hit a barn door while holding onto the handle.

  8. It was only a few weeks ago that our esteemed board in their attempt to justify ludicrously priced season tickets used the statement that all players still under contract for this season have indicated they want to stay and help gain promotion. So now that they have our money in the bank surprise, surprise, we are now looking to offload some of these players. As has been mentioned quality over quantity is surely the best plan to achieve promotion especially as, with the exception of Seedorf, none of our signings have given any indication of being anything other than average and I would say the replacements in goals and left back where Raven and Fon Williams could be playing look to me to be particularly poor.
