Correct, it really has no impact and nothing to do with fans at all, but if this was proposed under any other regime its hard to sense there out be so many tears. The current cohort are unpopular so I think we are reaching the point that no matter what they do people want to get upset by it.
It affects me. What am I being asked to support now? Just a collection of lads who turn up to play 90 minutes in Inverness every other week, never to be seen otherwise? That's not a football club. A football club should be embedded in the community. It should represent the city. If players aren't even based here, what's the point? I wonder if the Courier and P&J will give up on player interviews, etc? Leave it the Dunfermline Herald or something...

Absolute shocker! Kelty Caley Thistle and Kelty Hearts. Who knew Kelty could be a two team town! It's no longer ICT - it's like Barcelona, based in Barcelona, going off to play league games in the US. ICT, based in Kelty, gracing us every other week with a game in Inverness. We'll be another Elgin City - full of central belt journeymen with no affinity to Inverness or the area. No identity = no playing for the shirt (not that we really did that in the saeson just gone, to be fair!). Why should I carry on supporting Caley? Do Wimbledon fans of old support MK Dons?
The club has lost its home, community, fans, the plot. Let's get behind Clach and have them up in the Scottish league as Inverness' team while Caley fight relegation to the Highland League...

Look I know tensions are running high at the moment but let’s not get too overly dramatic.
In his defence he will be looking at you the same as any other fan no different unless of course you are-an employee of the club ? Is so I apologise.Dougal
It's not much of a defence if he looks at all fans as if they're dirt under his shoe! Not too strong on the "unity" there, either. Clearly there's a "them" and "us", where the fans are a subspecies, whose voices don't count - but they'll take our money and throw out a platitude here and there in the desperate hope of keeping that going.

Well, that’s that. Absolutely honking and the subs are hardly going to turn it. Dunc out - he’s clueless. Part-time football and play our youth squad next season. Get Spider in fae Buckie.

The massive half-time team talk required of Ferguson doesn’t seem to have delivered lol. It’s dire. Has he lost the dressing room???

Savage back. Hope he doesn’t kill it flat like he did in Montrose. We need to be flying, not strolling. I hope Longstaff has a fine game. Know he has his doubters here, but I do rate him. Thank God Lawal starts.
-
Cove, Arbroath, Montrose, Alloa, Annan, Kelty, Stenhousemuir - yep, our level…
At least maybe we’ll get a positive sub on 5 mins earlier than usual as we chase the game - or perhaps we won’t, because we can’t get out of a defensive mindset that’s become entrenched.

Embarrassing. What an absolute shambles.

Under 16/Under 12s tickets are not available online but staff in the ticket office will be happy to assist. Stadium open Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 4pm, Matchday 10am until KO. Tickets available over the phone on 01463 222880.
Why would we make this so difficult? So many Caley fans are far from Inverness. Crazy that Montrose manage a simple online process but we can’t. It’s on Alba, so already up against getting a good crowd without this nonsense. I would have come through from Aberdeen with the kids even though they’re still traumatized by the dross served up at Links Park.

Aye some game and atmosphere! Dunno how many but we had filled one stand. That was some team, they would rattle this lot.
With a bit of help from some Partick fans in the top corner!

Awful game. Caley were outplayed and outfought all over the pitch. As others have said, only Lawal gets pass marks - the only one to show a bit of urgency and desire. (perhaps Samuel, too, but he was just so isolated). Lawal's run down the left with a great little turn gave us the only thing to cheer about, and then his shot off the bar, of course. That was it.
It was pass, pass, pass along the back, followed by a punt up to Samuel. Savage absolutely killed the game and atmosphere. He'd roll the ball a yard with his studs, stop, maybe take another step, and then pass to the left, or up to Anderson, who'd pass it straight back to Savage, and repeat. It was enough to send anyone to sleep. That flatness just rubbed off on everyone - nobody could be bothered to change gear out of that lethargy. Fighting for survival? What a laugh.

So Billy's pen saved by Mehmet on Saturday and at home on 27th Feb. Four points thrown away because he can't beat a keeper from 12 yards. Maybe he should have stepped aside on Saturday as keeper would have fancied it again.

Dare I say it, it was a “great day out”. Couldn’t fault the players for effort. The defence looked pretty solid in the first 10 mins so I relaxed a bit. Was hard to see where a goal would come for us, though, as it was always just coming back. There was no outlet down the left, where Shaw should have been. That was disappointing for me - Shaw being played down the middle. Did Dodds not see the difference it made putting him down the left v Ayr?! Now we’ll never know what might have been.
What a cross from Duffy - and a spectacular finish. Gave us that hope again, just what being a Caley fan is all about!!Fans were great. Well done to the singing section for keeping it going and being heard even when vastly outnumbered. They should be moved to the North Stand. Better with a roof.

Woeful. Usual passing across side to side and then back. Only Henderson going forward. Serous lack of support with no runs being made. Flat, flat, flat - in a must-win game!
-
I don't think anyone's assuming we'll win! Certainly hoping, though. Looking forward to getting through for it. Possibly a good thing that it's a must win for us. Maybe Ayr will play for a draw, and that doesn't work well - see Buckie v Brechin. If we do score first, I just hope we don't look to shut up shop. Can you imagine the nerves?!

That one in 2007 is probably the low point of my ICT following life. Leading 1-0 with 2 mins to go. They had never even threatened. The Innes was a subdued place after that game.
That’s the one that I thought was 1-0. I remember Pressley scoring and being a right ***** on the radio as I queued to get out of the car park…

What is our Scottish Cup record v Celtic? Remember Ballistic, the 1-0 and of course the 2015 semi. I think we lost 1-0 at Caley Stadium, too. Any others?

A much better second half - positive. Could have had more goals after the second if we’d taken shots on. Instead did a lot of little passes around the box, which did at least demonstrate pretty impressive close control. Might have regretted that had Ridgers not pulled off a great save near the end! Was impressed by Boyd when he came on for Samuels. Neat and looked confident.

What a poor half. You wouldn’t know this was a game to win. Pass pass pass across the back. All the time. Where are the runs into the pockets? At least Shaw does positive things. That’s about it. Plus a crucial block by Carson.
-
Ross Tokely - true Caley legend. Interesting to see Richard Hastings leave Locos and Roy McBain leave Banks o'Dee. Lot of guys from the golden era in the coaching game.

Great result today. And such a positive performance, too! When we went ahead I feared we’d sit back as that’s what we did last time I saw Caley on the road at Cove. But this time, we went for it! The second half was superb, with wave after wave of counters as Arbroath tried to chase the game. Good to celebrate with the players behind the goals - everyone was on Cloud 9.
Hilarious to see Arbroath kids swarm towards the Away end when they equalised. Kind of made a mockery of the announcement that Arbroath is a family club when you see the wannabe hooligans.

Dodds safe for another week, then. Should be an interesting game next week after an equally unbelievable win for Arbroath.

Hoped to read that Dodds had done the decent thing, but no. How can the club expect fans to come along to shell out cash and support the club in pushing for promotion when the club patently lacks the same ambition? Satisfied with abject mediocrity season after season. Get Graeme Stewart in from Buckie. Or take back Darren Dods!

I have - it's identity. You clearly don't agree that that's a consideration when supporting a team. I don't support Hibs because they have nothing to do with Inverness.
I could ask, why are you so accepting of this bizarre arrangement? You might toe the line and say it's about attracting better players who can't be bothered committing to the area. Great if you can get behind a team full of such players - guys who don't want the inconvenience of travelling to Inverness, which the club would be part of in name only. On that basis, I would be as well to support Partick - it's got "Thistle" in it.
