So I may be biased and protective of a player who was a real club man and a fighter (in many ways!!). He is getting a load of negative flak at the moment but if there was one person that I would pick to be in the trenches with me it is Dunc. He has been up against it from the off. IMHO scapegoated from the off and now taking hits for the bunch of self motivated morons who are the people responsible for bringing this club to its knees. Duncs main problem is that he has nowhere near the quality of players required to bring any footballing system to fruition. We currently have the worst squad of players that we have ever had - a mottley crew of cheap loanees desperate for playing time to progress their own careers. Unfortunately the ones with potential have picked up the injuries. There has been no consistency and I hazard a guess that most fans would have difficulty in picking a first X1. But what Dunc does bring to the party is pure passion and the Dunkirk spirit. The next two games are must wins and if Dunc can instill the passion and drive we will survive. And I am referring to passion and not from a skill or system perspective. Dunc needs to instill a "dogs of war" mentality and the players have to give the fans a degree of hope. So I am predicting six points in the next two games - however accomplished and escaping in 8th place at the end of the season.

Terry Butcher was a guest of the club today. Did I miss something or was he not invited out and introduced to the fans? I was rather looking forward to giving him a good round of applause as a "thank you" for some of the best and most exciting football we've seen in the 30 year history of the club.
Probably because he was there as a double act with the other ICT legend, Richard Gough.

Ta, that explains why I couldn’t find his name associated with it.
In the interests of balance, this company does events relating to numerous clubs, eg recently did something with Charlie Mulgrew, and their forthcoming evening with Paddy McCourt certainly isn't going to attract many Rangers fans.
Butcher has a strong connection to the club. Who invited Richard Gough?

That was absolutely dire. Another must win game we failed to win. I'm no longer despondent. I'm totally scunnered with direction we're headed in. Dodds had to go but I think we've gone backwards since then.

2 games in a row we change the defence when it looks comfortable. 2 weeks in a row we ship 3 goals after that change.

We got relegated. That wasn’t their fault.
Relegation is a real possibility this season. Who's fault will that be? There hasn't been any sustained progress since that relegation. Who's been running the show?

The reason for pursuing additional sources of income is so that we actually have a full-time, competitive club for them to run.
They had a full-time, competitive club to run. That's going well eh?

The pitch might be OK but you'll need an outboard motor to go in the car park

Expect fireworks and a fast start for Duncan.
He is very very impressive around the stadium so far.
He seems like a force of nature. Just what the club was needing right now.

After reading Gardiners bilge in the courier, he has to go. What a complete narcissistic ****. Its no coincidence that everywhere he's been has been left in disarray.

Beware of what you wish for. Any manager change will be John Robertson in the hot seat.
And he'll phone in his instructions from County on match days.

Kind of demonstrates how tactically basic we are that everyone is working out how to overcome us. Hoofball with with the pint sized recruitment is a gift for the cloggers in this league.
Everyone else does their homework. They know how to play against us. Doesn't seem like anyone in our coaching staff can be arsed sussing out how the opposition plays.

I thought Dodds had the final say on transfers or is my recollection wrong?
That is likely the case. The point I was trying to make is, if he isn't scouting for players on a Saturday, when most games are played, when does he do it?

No, it’s absolutely not the role of a scout to decide what we need. He should get told what we need and then needs to find someone to fit the bill.
Took a while but just occurred to me. When does he scout for players if not in a Saturday? Can't see us affording any players on display at Victoria Park.
-
He certainly looked unimpressed with whatever Dodds said to him. If it was a verbal kicking, that should be saved for the dressing room. Not in full view of the supporters.

Well he’s clearly not required to work on Saturdays!
If his remit includes scouting, surely he has to see the team play to know what areas need strengthening.
