  1. I agree with bringing in a right back and centre back. From what I've seen we do have players that are more than capable of playing out of position to cover but it would be a good idea to bring additional players in these positions IMO. Nothing wrong with a bit of competition for places either.

  2. I wasn't convinced by our forward play at all today. Several times there were perfect opportunities to have a go at goal but we continued to just pass around. I also lost count of how many short corners were taken that lead to nothing in the second half! I feel one or two new faces are needed or it will be a long and very hard season ahead. Having said that today was the first time I've seen Callum Ferguson play, he looked very sharp and he seems to have a good eye for goal, would  like to see more of him!

  3. Hearing St Johnstone are closing in on signing David Goodwillie and money is the only stumbling block

Surely we could compete in money terms with the Saints and maybe prise him away to the Highlands

Ok I know he's had a turbulent past to say the least but there is undoubtedly a lot of talent still there and it could put his career back on track with a one year deal with us

    Dougal

As I noted a week or so ago, he could find form again with us. I would certainly take a chance with him.

  4. Now that England are out, are folk able to narrow who they want to win down a little better than simply anyone but England?  Personally I'd go for anyone but Uruguay.

I am rooting for Brazil still but the Colombians have been really refreshing to watch, I'd like to see them go far!

  5. Had it been a player who is seen to have less quality/talent and/or little personality (be it good or bad), they would receive a much more substantial punishment. BUT because this is Luis Suarez, who is currently seen as one of the greatest players in the world today, someone who sets shirt sales through the roof, and overall rakes in money for the sport he gets off very VERY lightly. Ridiculous.

  6. The way Colombia are playing I don't think a full strength Uruguay would beat them, James Rodriguez has been immense (3 goals & 2 assists from midfield).

Completely agree, Colombia are a team to watch out for IMO. James Rodriguez has been the stand out player for me in the competition so far, he really looks the part!
