Enough with the conspiracy theories ffs🙈. We are where we are now because we had to pay off 2 managers one of which was on a 4 year contract. We've spent 6 years in the Championship and it's finally starting to catch up to us it's as simple as that. Not to forget that along with many other clubs in Scotland Covid-19 was a massive financial setback. Setbacks that are still affecting us to this day.

A few parties are to blame for where we are now the board, the management the players, even the people of Inverness who just don't care about ICT they'd rather support Celtic, Rangers or Aberdeen.

It sucks but it is what it is.... you're either gonna be supporting the club through thick & thin or you're gonna walk away after a while. I'll support ICT till I die even if we're in the Highland League.

I’m at the gate of stick with and accept what we have or ‘walk’.

If their is no change (off the park), then it’s a permanent goodbye. I’m in the veterans cat and the winter games now are a real challenge. Doddsball and continued Pravda exec excommunications policy certainly ain’t for me!

Maurice Malpas as manager? Think it’s time for me to log off

Don’t know if MM would or could generate the enthusiasm to return! I do like the idea of MM with possibly G Warren as a trainee manager as no 2!

MM is his own man, never suffered any fools gladly, stood no nonsense, (from anyone), has no loyalty to the club or has any qualms about telling people straight what he thinks.
This probably eliminates him as the current mob in control of the levers couldn’t stomach such truths!

No question we need a ‘reset’ both on and off the park. Difficult to guess what is the most pressing. As IHE put earlier this week maybe we need to go down a league to clear out the dross and the malaise of the supporters and backers of the current regime. The trust are culpable here imo and can’t dodge their part in where we are!  If the Match Day Experience survey is the confined limit of their imagination on improvement, then look forward to more of the same for the next few seasons!

I think it's tomorrow the window closes :O, it is in England anyway because Sky Sports News is listing Deadline Day all day tomorrow.

I swear to god, if that clown Mulgrew signs then Dudds really has lost the plot 😡

Could be inspired and just save Doddsie, CEO and Chairman through the current crisis. Mulgrew maybe past the top flight, but would strengthen and improve (imo) our weak and leaking defence. He also had a decent left foot so that carries a threat we are also missing.
From the above three’s position it’s not  a risk. Dodds is under pressure from the CEO and Chairman and he knows it! The bad results and flack from some fans is beginning to hit home. Throw in the ridiculous Robbo situation, Gardiner and Morrison know some of the others in power and influence are looking on at them with more scrutiny and may be questioning how long to they need to change the fortunes of the club.
Both Gardiner and Morrison would throw Dodds under a bus if they thought it would save their own (Thump like ) skins.

Football however as we know is s strange game. I recall positions where the manager is under pressure and looked doomed, however a win at a crucial time manages to settle things down and they live to limp along. (Broon as the Scotland manager stick with me as a case)!
It will be the “others” with power at the top will press the button for change. Our gripes on this modest little outlet means Zipp.

This Saturday will be a trigger for me and my scribble above. It’s a case of if you want change now, do you want home win???

  4. Reap what you sow.
Trouble is what will be left of the club could be an empty husk when this lot move out! My fear is a Thames Water type comparison is lurking in the background. High wages to a select cliche and running debt catches up. An invidious position.
You seem to be close to the know, so maybe you can advise how much of the cup run money went on paying of debt and the current team?

As a supporter of the team(s) long before the merger, I can simply say I have never felt so alienated from the club and don’t know if I truly want to watch the ship burn and sink further!

  5. Says it all really Satan, what a sorry state we are in when we’re so crap the chairman is immune from criticism or has no fear of any challenge to his position cause no one would touch it with a barge pole.
Doesn’t fill me with much enthusiasm when it comes round to him assessing the Trust match experience survey recommendations.
Hay Ho, least we won the Snecky Cup!

  6. Why not, he is in the second highest position in the club hierarchy and is fair game to criticise if fans so choose. If he doesn’t like it or can stand the heat, he has the luxury to hand it over to someone else!

  7. Crisis, what crisis?
We all have to lighten up! Ok, we have had a slow start to the new season, but let’s not loose sight of the fact we already have silverware in the cabinet already with plenty more to play for.

The forum is filling its purpose of letting unaffiliated fans express their views. Nothing more, nothing less.

Getting enraged in posters allows us to let off steam! Only results and time will determine and initiate change at the club. But it all honesty what or where to we realistically expect ICT to be given our support numbers and geographical location. There’s no individual or group of wealthy investors ‘out’ there, so we’re stuck with what we have. We’re at the level where we deserve to be. Just get used to it!

With that Hamilton game and that season in general although most fans wanted the best for Richie, you could see he was out of his depth. Waffling word salad interviews (sounds familiar) and the biggest mistake was not taking action sooner to deal with it. By the time Malpas came in the rot had set in and confidence was shot. We waited far too long.

We'll do the same again this season but for quite different reasons.

We have a fan base that is comparatively 'quiet' and lets be honest, moaning online aside will likely do nothing. Even of they did see my first point below.

The CEO won't listen to any outside concerns or criticism.

The CEO won't admit they made a big mistake (Dodds 2 year deal).

CEO spending large amounts to extend John Robertson's contract, that has to this day never been officially announced and could have been spent on, I dunno a decent defender or two.

A chairman who seems who while seems nice is also anonymous and appears to have supreme confidence in the CEO and has no oversight of him.

A manager who's under funded and while not up to the job imo is being somewhat hung out to dry.

Not a great combo unless we are wanting 3rd tier part time football very soon.

I watched the Billy Mckay goals compilation with my daughters the other night and it broke my heart how far we've declined over the last decade.

We have the Trust match experience survey to look for ways of improvement with the CEO.

With these idiots running the club ? . Leave it another 4 games and there will be no season left as well as fans and less money . He has already had 2 very poor seasons in a row and this is looking like the worst ever to  come . I think going by the forum here , Twitter and Facebook etc 99% of fans have given up on him . Change is needed and need immediately . NO MORE chances  . Time for change and not just in coaching . Some very bad going’s on at the club and a lot of unnecessary wages been paid out and starving the club financially.

Turkeys (apt term) don’t vote for Xmas!

Decent players available for loan have already been picked up. Couple that with who wants to join not just our geographical location, but a relegation fight and Doddsball.

Anyone we bring in needs to be experienced and up for a fight, no many guys like that at clubs needing loaned out. Young guys who are hungry work when it's going well but in a league of cloggers and hatchet men beatong relegation involves scrapping and being mentally tough.

    ‘League of cloggers’,

A masterful term and worthy to praise and mark on the forum.  I struggled over the past few years to find a word that captured the quality and standard of fare on display until you came up with this bdu98196!!

It summarises exactly the expected standard and type of football this league coughs up!

The recent shortfall in results might lead us to understand we don’t have enough ‘heft’ and thus need more robustness in the team if we are to compete with the more successful clogger teams in the league!

Our squad is much weaker this season than last.  Of the regulars from last season we've lost Deas, Allardice, Henderson and Mckay and none of them have really been replaced.  Deas hasn't been replaced at all, we've just not signed anyone in his position.  We have signed Charlie Gilmour in the middle where Allardice played but I'm not sure he is a similar player and isn't someone who is going to dominate in there the way Allardice did.  Henderson and MacKay both had pace and the ability to deliver a great ball in and while it's early days I'm not sure Brooks or Longstaff look comparable.

We are weaker in ever area and unless we make some excellent signings in the next few days I honestly think 8th is about the limit of our ambitions this season.  We've done well on loan in the last few years - Jamieson, McAlear, Chalmers, Pearson and the aforementioned Henderson and MacKay were all good contributors - so maybe we can use that market.

Can’t Charlie phone his buddies at parkhead and pull in some favours and get us a couple of decent 3rd pick players! Surely a couple of decades service has earned some credit!

Even if we could sack Dodds and bring in the likes of Mourinho or Guardiola, they could not get this squad promoted.

    Fully agree here,

Doddsie must be swearing under his breath why the team don’t stick to his game plan and tactics. What more can the manager and coaches do to get these players to carry out his instructions and get the results he deserves?

Meanwhile ar Dungwall - WTF !!!!

Was listening to robbo’s excellent radio commentary today at Dingwall. He was rightly extolling County’s prowess of the team and management and just how unlucky they were not to take something from the match. He was rightly disappointed at the final result!

I look forward to future radio commentary from our ICT director of football at the County matches this season!

  14. What a bunch of moaners! A close match by all accounts and just loosing by the odd goal away from home to a newly promoted team isn’t the end of our promotion bid!
Hitting the bar twice and a one man advantage was an opportunity missed to take a point back up the road.
BD and SG are going nowhere, we should back them fully!
I don’t think we are to far off turning the corner. With a turn of luck we will get the result the team and BD rightly deserves and the fans will forget this early blip!

  15. Is it just me, or has there been a distinct absence of BD in the media over the past week? I see for the second time B Wilson is the coaching face to talk to the press regarding the team. Just wondered if BD has an illness or been told to lay low just know!!

Don’t think he has it in him to think the 5 losses are something to do with him, but strange things happen!

    Just find it interesting!!

  16. I know Zip about the new bloke, however let’s hope he has an independent mind and is more open to the fans (trust and unaffiliated). That would be a step forward.

Anyway - I wish him well and will watch with interest. Maybe the start of some manoeuvring or setting a mark for future shuffling at the top? (Can’t be any worse ‘I hope’).

  17. I still believe BD will see out (or bulk of) his contract. However your question is ‘Who could replace’ him. A couple of thoughts in my mind.

The question of ‘could’ needs a dose of reality on what the club would be able to offer in way of opportunity and package. I think this eliminates any serious existing manager in the central belt. They all want a way back south within 18 months for me.

The existing hierarchy would need to change, for me, to enable the fans to get fully behind any new manager. - I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Erm, isn’t it the board that has been digging deep into their own pockets and preventing the club from going bust on several occasions over the last year or two? And you want rid of them?!

Im pretty sure most of them would love to step back and are only there out of a sense of duty and love for the club.

The time to ask them to go is the time when there is a better alternative waiting to step in. But there isn’t.

Fair point yngwie, however experience tells me that once there is a void or gap, someone always looks to the opportunities in that void. Could that be worse than the current lot? Hard to say; they have been anything other than a retrograde step during their reign! I wish it would be the other way, believe me!!!

At the end of the day I simply want my club to be a place I like and want to go to see my team play. I hadn’t done that for a handful of years now.
