  1. Hi all, I've already started a similar thread over on the Pie and Bovril forums. I'm studying at Edinburgh Napier University and am researching for my dissertation topic on how the media reports on Scottish football clubs suffering financial difficulty. I've been kept busy with Caley Thistle and Dumbarton recently, as well as researching historic financial difficulties. In a bid to get a feel for where people sit right now, I've added a link to a Google form. It would be great if you could fill this out. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdJpQaAgtTEqa_1UzEQZ_DD52wNDQmEJMP7Ap-KUz8dNVASqQ/viewform?usp=header Cheers! As a Caley fan, it has been interesting to see how the club's season has been reported in the local and national news!
  2. The thing that stings most for me is the fact that he’s remaining up in the highlands, so he clearly loves living there. Heard a rumour briefly that he could be going back down to dundee. It seems idiotic that we have to keep saying this - but we have to stop this out of contract nonsense. We’ve been described as a ‘selling club’ in years gone by which is a fair assessment all things considered, but what good is it if you’re repeatedly holding onto your best assests, allowing then to depart on a free when they have hinted they want out a whole year before the fact…
  3. With Robbie gone, and Allardice 70% away for me, seeing some league predictions on Twitter is a really disheartening… With two of the best players out the door, and the club openly likely to struggle financially to some extent next season, I’m finding it difficult to see where the big names will come from to take up. We should undoubtedly be challenging in this league, and the cup final was a fantastic performance - but achieving on a consistent basis was a struggle this season…
