Craig Brewster Talks to Dundee Utd

  • Teaser Paragraph:

{mosimage}Caley Thistle have issued the following official press release regarding the approach by Dundee United to appoint Craig Brewster as their new manager.

Craig Brewster will remain as Caley Thistle manager until after Monday's Scottish Cup replay at Ayr United.

Brewster said today:”I’ve had talks with United but I’m still in charge at Inverness and will not leave before the games with Livingston and then Ayr. That would not be fair. “ I’ve enjoyed my time here and I’m still in discussions with Caley Thistle.”

Inverness director of football Graeme Bennett said:”With our permission, Craig has spoken to United and we are continuing in dialogue with Craig to try to persuade him to stay. If he is adamant he does wish to go then we’re mindful to grant him his release though only on the basis of satisfactory compensation being agreed.

“We’ve an excellent track record of selecting and developing young managers and if there is a vacancy then we would anticipate considerable interest in the position. But we have not yet reached the stage of there being a vacancy.”
