Proctor Away ?

  • Teaser Paragraph:

D PROCTORAccording to press reports emanating from Dundee, and a later confirmation from ICT boss Charlie Christie, a deal has been agreed that should see David Proctor finally sign for Dundee United.

The young defender is believed to have agreed terms with the Tannadice side and after a number of well documented public spats, the clubs are thought to have agreed a fee in the region of £30,000.

It remains to be seen whether reported bids for Ian Black and want-away defender Darren Dods will come to anything especially with ICT Chairman David Sutherland previously stating that no players who were in the manager's plans would be sold to United and both Black and Dods would certainly fall into that category.

After the initial story appeared in the Dundee press, Caley Thistle manager Charlie Christie was quoted as saying the following at the ICT weekly press conference

"United came in this morning with a fresh offer, which meets our valuation and, this afternoon, I have given David permission to go and discuss terms with them. The paperwork should be cleared in time for United's game this weekend. He is a good lad who has suffered here through our depth of midfield quality"
