Midfielder Suspended

  • Teaser Paragraph:

Hart_R_80.jpgInverness Caledonian Thistle FC have confirmed that midfielder Richie Hart has been suspended from playing and training with the club until further notice.

The decision was taken following a court appearance yesterday (October 9th) where he pled guilty to being in possession of a controlled substance at the RockNess music festival earlier this year.

Fan opinion is divided on what action the club should take follwing the news, but it would appear that the writing may be on the wall for Hart following the issue of this Press Release by Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC.:-

"Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC can confirm that following Richard Hart pleading guilty to a criminal offence concerning a controlled substance, Mr Hart has been suspended from training and playing with the club until further notice. When the matter was originally brought to our attention, the club interviewed the player and given his responses agreed to leave the matter until the allegations were addressed in court.

The club would like to reassure the club's commercial partners, supporters and the public that the club adopts a very firm stance in relation to the use and/or possession of drugs.

The club will deal with the matter internally and will make no further comment until the position has been resolved."
