  1. Have to disagree Gringo... Levein had the best crop of players available to any Scotland manager since Craig Brown. If you look at the complete duds that Berti tried out (Maurice Ross, Robbie Stockdale, Paul Devlin anyone?) it's a wonder he got us to a play off - nevermind won the first leg. The current crop of players, while I am not saying that they are world beaters, are the best any manager has had to deal with for many years and Smith and McLeish did not too bad with worse. The blame lies mostly with the utter arrogance, incompetence and buffoonery of Craig Latrine in my opinion. Burley was on a hiding to nothing with the media from the moment he started - the very first headlines about him were criticising his tie at his inaugural press conference. Compare this to the way they treated Smith and McLeish... Do you think they will f**kin dare try that sh*t with Strachan?????? I think we all know what response they'd get. I feel that in the short space of time a manager has with his players at international level GS can make a difference and use this effectively. I'm not saying he's going to magically make everything better but I do feel your comment of him not "lasting the pace" I have to disagree with. That's all I have to say about that! You wern't a fan of Levein then! No, not really! I'm a T.A supporters club member and obviously wanted and was willing him to succeed but his record was truly, truly woeful. 3 competitive wins. THREE! And 2 were against Leichtenstien, with the home win being won in the 97th minute. After going down 1-0. AT HOME! TO LIECHTENSTEIN!!! All of his wins were by just 1 goal too.

  3. Watching the St.Mirren game from behind the goal in the North Stand I thought Cooper had a shaky start but what was very re-assuring was seeing Warren and Raven talk to him and help him through the match, so much so that by the last 20 minutes he was almost a different player to the one that had started. Warren's guidance reminded me of what Bobby Mann did with Caff and also Dods with Munro over the years and we all know how much we've missed Dods. While it may be good to see Hogg coming back from injury, I can't help feel that he is considerably down the pecking order for a starting spot purely because the current players are there on merit. So why the rejoicing in a player who has hardly featured for us returning? Perhaps the OP just fancied something to moan about? Seems a common theme with some.
  4. I disagree Alex. A tw@t is a tw@t regardless of what era it is.
  5. That's wise. I vote you be in charge.
  6. I know our forums way better than yours but shood you not be back at tykes mad greeting to yer own lot thanks for coming nothing to see here on move along now Tykes mad whats that.? I have more posts on here than the tykes mad board. Did i actually post on here your were a great buch, sorry I meant some of you Any way good look in the cups and league.
  7. Knowing which team Sharp moved their sponsorship too after they ended their long term association with Manchester United! Denzil getting 2 goals in injury time to snatch a 3-3 draw with the tinks. The wee Queens park player in the league cup game walking backwards and banging into Bobby Mann, turning round and then looking slowly up... and up.. and up! (and we still lost the game 2-1!) Roscco's goal and Bagans run and then goal against the Jambo's at Tynecastle! Pom Poms in The Cartvale!
  8. Fat girls... Yup. Fat girls. I can't help but thinking fat girls may be our secret weapon in this whole thing. I say we hire a waddle of fat girls to always be within a close proximity of Terry whenever he leaves his house. This way should barnsley, doncaster or any other yorkshire team come calling he'll get the general feel and vibe of yorkshire without actually leaving the Highlands. That should be enough to put him off methinks.
  9. Sooooooo pleased this has been put to bed. Can't wait for the league to start again now!
  10. Right - now give him contract extension...
  11. Read the date ya fannies!
  12. He is the experienced coach, I feel it's more the motivator that may be needed. Or maybe that is Foran's role?
  13. If all this is true and Mo is showing the club that level of loyalty and is clearly happy here then if TB goes surely he deserves the job. I know he had a poor time at M'well and Swindon but we are not M'well or Swindon, plenty players have come to ICT and resurrected waning careers. With the right person beside him, perhaps someone a little more media friendly, I'd be confident. Anyway, purely yet another if this, if that situation, as has been said we'll just have to see what happens.
  14. That Pep chap, you know - ex Barcelona is looking for work. He's fond of a team in red and blue stripes.
  15. No issue with Jimmy Calderwood - he's been a successful manager wherever he's been but Craig Latrine. No. No. And No.
  16. Why would they fly to Scotland by private jet when Terry was spending the winter break in Ipswich? Other papers (including P&J) nsay Terry travelled from Suffolk to Yorkshire to met them. Shows how much rubbish is reported in the papers. I find it quite hard to believe the majority of stories I read these days. Did you hear the one about the three little piggies?* *Neale Cooper sh**ged them all.
  17. In that case it demonstrates how mellow I have become - as I got barred from both those threads in the end !! Go on, you know you want the hatrick! Doubtful on this occasion - As most are aware Marius was never exactly a fave and never won me over - Brewster as a manager was the worst ICT experience with deja-vu added in - Butcher has more positives than negatives BUT he will be getting both barrels when he signs unless he comes up with a feckin good reason. You're no fun anymore!
  18. Or Maurice and Charlie? Aye!
  19. Malpas with Foran? I'm happy with that. If Mo is committed to us then he has my backing. Can't help thinking now that TB has made his intentions clear. If he doesn't go to Barnsley then he's gonna be off sooner rather than later. Shame. A real shame.
  20. If it is true I have no doubt at all that him and Mo will be unemployed within 18 months. Although likely considerably richer so who is the fool?
  21. You're the sort of guy that agrees with the National Rifle Association just because the rest of the world can't believe the drivel that they are coming out with right?
  22. Probably. IHE seems to be hinting at that too. As long as they leave our club alone I don't give two hoots who they have in charge! Or anyone else for that matter.
  23. No . Yes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20236445
  24. Blackpool? I thought Appleton was recently appointed no?
