I posted the above before i saw the other thread where the McCall-bashing has begun.
I can't quite remeber why ICT fans hate him so much. Is it something to do with our rivalry with Falkirk in the last few seasons in the 1st Division? If people are casting their minds that far back, then they might want to remember just how good Falkirk were at that time.
It dates back to when he was manager of a title chasing Clydebank side back in season 97/98. We beat them 3-2 and he took a massive huff by kicking over paint cans and mouthing off in the press.
As far as I recall anyway.

Anyone up for giving Henrik Larsson a chance?
in my dreams!!
Aye that would be nice. At least he'd solve the experienced forward problem.
I really like the idea of Archie Knox with Barry Wilson as assistant but I just don't believe he's a realistic option considering he'd be able to pick up another decent coaching job in the prem without a problem. An experienced head coach is a must in my opinion with an assistant who knows the club inside out.

All the best for a speedy recovery, Dan.
Have seen him a couple of times for under-19s. Looks a good prospect.
I'll echo everything you say. Lightning quick too.
Noticed that the under 19's finished their Turkish trip with ye tanother win, this time against Azerbaijan national under19's. Sounds like we've got a great squad building their. Hope to see a couple of them before the end of the season.

Are you talking about managers only here? because I could mention a player, who left us recently, who made more than an adequate return to this club.
Horses for courses I say.
I am speaking about managers as opposed to players. I'm sure there are examples of it working out but more often than not it ends in tears (Keegan etc.) second time round.
-
I'm not really convinced we should be going down the bring back [insert applicable name here] route. It's been proven time and time again that it's never the same second time round. Brewster coming back here has proved that more than anything. As much as I love Pele, CC and Robbo I don't feel that it would be the best option for the club to re-appoint anyone.
I wouldn't be adverse to Rioch or Brown coming in. An experienced old head could be just what we need. Maybe even teamed with a young up and coming assistant to groom and take over the reigns (someone like Bazza). One of these two can provide exactly what we need - some tactical consistency and everyone knowing their position and job. The tactics and team tombola can be lobbed in the bin please.

Inverness CT manager Craig Brewster:
"I thought in the second half we did well; we did everything but score.
"I don't think Hamilton had a chance after the first 10 minutes. They scored a penalty and we didn't score, end of story.
"The conditions are horrendous, the wind was howling and the rain was in our face.
"We tried to play, we got into decent positions, the delivery was better second half and we created a few problems but of course we didn't score.
"We find it difficult to score and that's what wins you games."
Brilliant Craig. We don't score enough so you sign 8 defenders and a midfielder in the January transfer window.
-
Never thought I'd say it but thank god Rangers are winning.
-
Nothing has changed despite the signings. Club record 7th league defeat in a row looking likely and our closest relegation rivals are getting further and further away.
-
Just got a text from someone at the game. They say that if Barrowman doesn't get subbed he's going to be sent off. He got an early booking and has proceeded to then a make a few stupid fouls.
-
Brilliant. Sounds like a huge confidence booster for the team. Robbo just said that Mihadjuks is looking good - could he be what we've been looking for?
Zadi hooked at half time. What a waste of space.
-
Its just got even cheaper to go down.
Regardless of motives etc. (and this is not the topic to get into it) this is a great gesture by the board. Looks like they understand how important the game is and how much support we need for the team on the park. We all have our grievances against the board and Brew but the boys on the park still need our support for this one.
-
I officially offer my services to manage the team for tomorrow after masterminding the following a few minutes ago. I used reasonably simple tactics: i.e. soak up the pressure, lots of pressing and hitting on the counter with pace.
Starting line up:
Fraser
Tokely Duff Munro Hastings
Cowie Black Vigurs Imrie
Rooney Wood

HELP!
-
The first of a few I'm sure.
Complete nonsense to let him go.
-
If Scott Booth is that confident then he should be installed immediately to the managers position.
Funnily enough I have first hand experience of his coaching abilities as he coached my uni team for a season while doing his badges. I imagine he can't be worse than what we have even though he talks a bit funny.
-
All I can say is thank christ for goal difference.
Which is getting worse very very quickly. As it stands we're only 5 better off than Hamilton.
-
It possibly was. Need to speak to my girlfriend to find out. All I know is that it was at a place called Forestside.
Thats Smyths toy shop. Only just up the road from where I currently live.
-
Oh dear lord this is awful.
I think I'm going to switch off the radio, remove all sharp objects from the room and get wired into the beer in order to wipe the existence of Craig Brewster and David Proctor from my memory for the rest of the day!

Minutes silence on Saturday?
Perhaps a minutes applause may be more appropriate for him?
I think that it would show our appreciation in a more fitting way for a man without whose influence and dedication we wouldn't have an ICT to support.
-
played for merkinch two seasons ago and dalneigh last season, dalneigh's first
Au contraire. Dalneigh were about years ago but folded in about. You must be playing for the AFC wimbledon version.... :thumb04:
-
2-0. Garry Brady.
Maybe not writing on the wall but definately some doodling.
-
I don't what is more appropriate:
or :018: or :thumb04:
It beggars belief...
-
In reply to the original question - Yes I am very worried about the game on Saturday.
Maybe more of a 'must not lose' than a 'must win' but either way I think its a fairly vital game in our season. 3 points would keep that cushion between us and the teams below us where as 0 points would put us even deeper in the *****. We need to pick up 7 - 10 points from our next 5 games (St Mirren A, Aberdeen H, Motherwell A, Rangers H Hamilton A) and put Partick out of the cup. Anything else and its a disaster.
-
Barrowman looked a good yard onside for his disallowed effort
Absolute shocker of a decision. Clearly onside.
Thought the penalty was very soft too. Imrie was just stronger than the Killie player.

Archie Knox in talks. Think it would be a great choice personally.
