My MOTM....the team!
They worked their socks of and thoroughly deserved the point. Hopefully this is a turning point. There was definitely a real team spirit; better communication (on the field and from the bench), better work effort, less arguing.
Looks like a week of positive posts on this site, when was the last time we had that

He gave his all today...respect!! One or two worrying incidents after his yellow card....nothing new there.
I can't see him staying because of the contract with Hearts and the fact it's his home town.

1. Butcher
2. Knox
3. Robbo
It would be great to have someone with a bit of spirit and passion like Butcher in charge, especially when the first game is against the tims. If it's Butcher, make sure the doors have reinforced hinges

When I first heard there was a shoe protest at the game, I thought you all took your shoes off and threw them at Brew like the Bush Press Conference incident clicky

22 games played - 17 points... less than a point per game.
We've 0 points from 21 possible on this streak... to think if we'd won these we would have gained more points than from the previous 15 matches... Also we'd be sitting in 3rd place had we won all these matches.
If games finished at half time these last 7 league games, we would only have 2 points.
16 conceeded in those 7 games - 40% of which scored within 5 minutes of the re-start.
3 league goals scored... rooney with 2 of them yet he doesnt get a start, and a defender (rosscoe) with the other.
We have scored more than 2 goals in just 1 league game this season. Home, Killie, 27th September, 3-1.
We have Conceeded 3 or more goals in 5 matches this season, 4 of which in the last 6 league games.
Our last clean sheet, in the league, was 9th August 08, whereas we have failed to score in 45% of games.
This time last season, we had 31 points (motherwell, aberdeen and rangers the only sides we hadn't beat in that time)
Strikers' league stats this season...
Rooney, started 7, scored 5
Wood, Started 10, scored 2
Barrowman, Started 12, scored 2
Impressive compilation of stats Gringo_Jnr, they are no surprise, but are still depressing. Surely the decision makers in the club are aware of these. Anyway, I'm sad to say they look like statistics of a relegated team

For those of us not at the game, what happened in the shoe protest?
-
Who will win first Charlton or us. Charlton have just gone 18 games without winning anyone want to hazard a guess?
At least they've got the consolation that they've taken some points over the last 8 weeks.

Yet another weekend bu99ered......feck feck feck!!!
The smug gits should spend less time supping beer in the Heathmount and take their jobs seriously.
-
We've been stuck at 17 points in the league since 22nd Nov...that take a special level of incompetence. This is coming from someone who WAS a fan of Brew
-
Esson
Tokely Pressley (capt) Munro Hastings
Cowie Black Vigurs Imrie
Rooney Wood
Plus give Proctor (Right Back) and Sutherland (on the wing) at least 30 mins
-
I could cry, every game at home it is the same, we play well in the first half, them within 10 minutes of the second half we conceed a goal, who's to blame? The players, Brew, the captain?
Is it as bad as it seems? - question for your stats ghurus.

Cannot recall so many people leaving so early at TCS, hopefully the board got the message.
We didn't force a decent save out of Langfield, in fact we could be playing until Christmas and not scored
Gash defence!
Gash midfield!!
Gash up froat!!!
Gash leadership!!!!
Gash management!!!!!
Gash referee!!!!!!
Merry Christmas one and all :thumb04:

Another concern is the apparent alienation of some players who want to leave!
I do however, have a concern as to who we would be able to attract in his place given our location, table position and budget.
Can you expand on that statement? dont know of many players saying they want to leave, just in talks about their contracts, and alienation?
I was referring to the contract renewal situation where some players, who should be within our capability to retain, seem set to leave e.g. Cowie.
I deliberately used the word "apparent" as I have just heard it through the grapevine. I may be wrong, in fact I hope I am wrong, but time will tell.

I've defended Brew up 'til now, but something needs to be changed. Our home form is awful, we lose too many goals at the start of the second half - is this a reflection on the team talk? And I can't remember the last time we had a clean sheet Another concern is the apparent alienation of some players who want to leave!
I do however, have a concern as to who we would be able to attract in his place given our location, table position and budget.
Nevertheless, voted YES (to be revised if we stuff the dons - wiping the smile off Tangoman's face would win my loyalty for another month)
-
I'm disappointed at the decision, I thought he gave us options when coming on as a sub.
I don't think the fact that Brew and Barry allegedly don't see eye to eye helped his cause.
-
Thought we played as well, if not better than 'tic, in fact they started time wasting with 15 minutes to go!
Imrie was my MOTM, the only criticism was that we seemed scared to shoot at times.
Much better passing than the usual punt from defence directly to the forwards.
Woeful linesman on the nearside cutting off Cowie's one on one with Boruc, shame he didn't flag for Maloney's goal...who said old firm conspiracy?
-
We are cr@p at all throw-ins, particularly in our own half; nobody seems to want the ball. Surely it's something the guys could work on on the training ground.
-
We sit a few rows behind the away dugout and he's always good entertainment value.
He gives his own team a hard time even when they went 1-0, but despite all the f'ing and c'ing, he's always a gent to the home support.
-
He's going to be continuing his offshore job, so will be unavailable for a few weeks at a time.
I believe he will be playing at some point on Saturday.
-
ICT should invest in more coaches, maybe ones that specify in postions. So the defenders can focus on defensive duties etc.
Based on his performance as an ICT player and his masterclass in how to defend at Barry's testamonial, we should grab Bobby Mann for defence coach the minute he retires as a player. But then again, why wait?

Esson
Tokely Proctor Duff Djebi-Zadi
Cowie Black McBain Imrie
Barrowman Rooney
The players I was waivering over, but eventually chose...
Esson in as he had a great second half on Monday and he distributes the ball quickly.
Djebi-Zadi, although he may not be as good a tackler as Hastings, he passes the ball well and is quick.
Duff, barring the c0ck up he made on of Saturday for the goal, has looked pretty good.
Players pushing to get on if any of the starting 11 are not performing: Fraser, Hastings, McGuire, Vigurs, Sutherland & McAllister.

What a start, let's build on it next week at home.
Tango man must be turning purple, couldn't happer to a bigger muppet
Happy Daze
Wishing all ICT fans a very merry evening :thumb04:

I believe he is replacing Peter.

He's pairing up well with Grant, agree that he's "Dods-esque", good aerial presence, it's been a long time coming!
