Hardly a sideways pass today, we looked to get forward at every opportunity and fully deserved the win.
Where has that Billy Mckay been hiding all season?I haven’t a clue how we played or what happened in the last half hour of the game, was too busy refreshing my phone every 10secs to see the Annan score!
Today was a good day

As expected, the loss of Bavidge has completely floored us.
I take it there’s absolutely no chance of him appearing in any of our final 2 (or more likely 4) games? -
No need to panic. We’re at home next week and our home form has been fantastic!

Bet it’s not a skeleton team they play next week !

We are playing an empty shirt for a centre forward but probably have to accept there is no alternative at the moment.
We could’ve subbed Billy and pushed Bray up front instead. Anything to try something different because it was so clearly not working today!

One of the poorest showings I’ve ever seen from an Inverness side!
Was obvious 10 minutes in that things weren’t working but we just continued to play the same side-to-side way. Then when we eventually decided to try and change things the substitutions were baffling!
I’ve said it before, but if we don’t play with a striker we’re going to struggle to score goals. Why do we always save the ***** performances for the home games?

We need all the experience we have on the pitch right now. Mckay may not be scoring but he's been a mainstay in the team that has dug us out of a 15pt hole. I honestly think some of the fans forget and don't appreciate where we've had to come back from since October.
An inexperienced 18 year old has come in and been our top scorer in the few games he's played. This is one of the (if not the main) reasons we've clawed back the 15 point deduction.
Don't worry, I havent forgotten and do appreciate what's happened since October.

Play Bray or Stewart up front.
Drop Mckay to the bench, or move him into midfield if he insists on playing. There is zero point in continuing to play him as a striker, he offers no threat and all of our opponents know it!

Still no official word on Bavidge? If he’s out for rest of season we’re in big trouble!

What’s so frustrating is that we could and should have won the last two home games, and we’d now be sitting in 6th place just 2 points off the 4th place playoff spot!
That’s gone now, unfortunately.-

He’s our 9th top scorer this season with 2 goals from 37 appearances as a striker. He still has a good footballing brain and brings something to the team, but it sure ain’t goals.
Truth is he really isn’t bringing anything to the team anymore

Great fast-paced start where we looked brilliant and deservedly took the lead. Then as the first half wore on we got slower and slower, letting Alloa back into the game.
Lost what looked like a soft goal in the second half. Then we tried to up the pace again, but in truth whenever we got around their 18 yard line we slowed everything down.
My heart skipped a beat when we were awarded the penalty, then sank when I saw who was taking it! A very poor penalty easily saved by the keeper. That’s two games in a row now where McKay has cost points. How long do we persist with him in the starting 11? He’s become a liability!

I think AS's coments about a new stadium are maybe being blown out of proportion a wee bit. He began the subject by saying that the current stadium is too big and expensive for the club to run (IMO it's an awful stadium anyway - the stands are far too far away from the pitch, and it's wide open to the elements). He then made off the cuff suggestion of a new stadium at the campus. In our current predicament, this is obviously pie in the sky!
Perhaps there's some mileage in it in as much as he might just be planting the seed that there could be potential for any new owner to come in and flog the stadium lease to some unrelated Freeport-interested business and move the club to a new location?
Maybe RM has similar thoughts, and if the club was to be liquidated and he's left holding the lease to some vacant land near the Freeport, he might stand to make significantly more money that he's currently owed/secured by selling the lease?

Interesting vision of the future there in moving the stadium. Would that create a 'Campus Camp Nou'
I suppose that's one way of working around the lease ownership issues?

The problem is, they don't all agree on what that right thing is, and we're all left trying to work it out based on very limited information and understanding of the politics at play.
This seems to me to have been an issue at the club since day 1. A battle of too many egos, d#ck measuring contests, and wallet weighing competitions. Like toddlers fighting over a toy . . . . . and now they've finally broken the toy!

How did we go from Tuesday’s performance to that today ?
Badly missed McLeod, and Bavidge obviously.
When McKay is in that kind of form we’d be as well playing with 10 men!

And another reminder of what a disastrous appointment Duncan Ferguson was… and of the self satisfaction of Scot Gardiner’s claims about his role in making it.
And who was it that oversaw all of that?

Goal aside that was the worst performance since Ferguson. We played the whole game at walking pace, with lots and lots of sideways and backwards passing. Players looked disinterested at times. Very strange considering this was one of the biggest games of the season for us ?

Whatever happens we are certain to come out of this Scot-free, and that is the most important thing!

Very flat performance I felt. Not helped by the red card.
0 shots on target from 8 attempts tells the whole story.
Arbroath were rubbish!-

I’d like to offer my thanks to the administrators for punting Ferguson and Bolan.

Had Ferguson still been in charge we'd have lost that game today. The performance was night and day to his tenure. The players are playing like footballers now and not robots. Much more purpose and intent.
Onwards and upwards!
