  1. Only just noticed this thread

So sorry to hear this news.  Eric's health had certainly been failing for some time but he was at the games whenever possible.

Very fond memories, great guy with an amazing general knowledge.  He will be sorely missed by many

  2. I think that the Aberdeen trains will be encouraged to use the other stations.  The inclusion of the onward travel will be to assist in segregation.  I'm certain they will have plenty trains on to cope with demand.  As Lynne says they are pretty used to moving large numbers of people around with big football matches, concerts etc so I would take their advice and use the Queen Street - Belgrove line

  3. Dougal, the chairman and secretary of CJT took annual leave to attend the meeting in Glasgow.  They fought our case but unfortunately TV contracts etc talk and we got a raw deal.  As it would have been difficult for the SPFL to give us money, they spoke to some of their sponsors and managed to get some hope from the Scottish Sun, which has now come to fruition.  Yes this is good marketing for the Sun, but be under no illusion this would not have happened if Davie and Jen didn't take the time to attend the meeting on our behalf.

  4. Point taken CB.  We did receive a donation in return for our time when we did this last year.  We stepped in at the last minute and it is a welcome boost to our coffers.  I'm not sure that it would equate to minimum wage for the amount of people per hour but it was a donation we were happy with. Sadly we live in a world that is money motivated.  I hope that lots of charities and good causes make a lot of money from the runners.

I think you will find that the people who will give a couple of hours on this day already give a lot of hours to the football club

I did see a railing today which I assume was the entrance to the underpass ,so where does that take you out at ?

I can't believe I've driven past it hundreds of times and never noticed it , that said it does look quite overgrown .

It's not that far from roundabout but probably too far for fans to bother taking that extra few yards at whatever cost.

The path/railing you noticed(heading north about 200 mtrs from r/bout)takes you down onto a path which leads out just at the courier office, from there its a walk along the pavement under the bridge to the stadium.

I just wonder if it may be worthwhile for the club to consider running a bus from the bus station for a couple of quid to save people walking there and avoid having the dangerous roundabout?

There is a bus service from the bus station 45 mins before kick off for every game :-)
