  1. Foran and Barrowman are completely different types of players, we use Foran as targetman, he is a direct, physical forward. Barrowman is a penalty box striker and has little physical pressence he lives off scraps and tries to poach goals... one complements the other.

Foran and Rooney would arguable be too similar...

  2. my question is how many other companys/people have suffered again because livi couldnt get there house in order once was bad enough but to do the same thing again sorry its there own fault they should now regroup in the 3rd divi and get on with it

The creditors have lost out by Livi going down to the third. The package to buy the first divison club included an agreement to pay 8p or so in the pound to creditors via a CVA.

The agreement to buy them as a third division club, will see the creditors get less or nowt..

If indeed some of these are creditors who lost out first time around, why did they extend credit facilitys to Livi again... they have contributed to there own problems...

  3. The problem is Inverness, just look how every so often the Highland News runs a front page shocking exclusive on some prostitute that they have discovered in the town.

This would be a non story in Dundee, Glasgow or Edinburgh..

Inverness could do with a sex shop, can you imagine the outcry if anyone ever tried to open one.

  4. As this is looks to be a older pc and probably has a common or garden onboard graphics chip/card how about going into device manager and asking pc to update the graphics driver from the microsoft update site.

  5. What is is Brewster was always telling us "league tables don't lie"...

If thats the case then Rooney, has to be given more of a chance, because if it's down to minutes on pitch/goals scored then he has a higher ratio than any of the other strikers. Barrowman has missed more sitters than Rooney... that's for sure.

ICT promote themselves as a family club, were you at the open night recently, hundreds of kids getting photo's taken with players and autographs.

We need to get the kids in young and get them supporting their local team, it's the very future of the club that is at stake.

You only need to watch young children playing footy in any Inverness park/street to be aware how many become default rangers/celtic fans.

  7. I think you will find that you can be charged with breach of the peace of similar for singing "abusive songs with swearing in" even at a football match.. I'm sure the club wouldn't think this type of singing was acceptable either.... we are a family club..

  8. The football's the one place many people go to channel frustrations and let out their feelings, where it wouldn't be accepted in other places.

Don't think kids should be exposed to as much of the expletives as they hear at the footy, but they're gonna hear it sometime whether you like it or not.

A gym, a boxing club or perhaps anger managment classes would be my suggestion!!

  9. I had thought about going yesterday would have probably taken my 8 year old daughter. Unfortunately I didn't have the money.

Glad we didn't go now, I agree completely with Sorted on this.

It dosen't matter who started it, two wrongs don't make a right. If this young lad was threatened, there are proper channels of action he could have taken..

  10. Rock solid at the back today, no worries there at all, against worse teams we wouldve scored alot earlier today.

As for the Kyle Alison abuse, its fair enough in my book, the fans can do no wrong, its upto the player to show where their allegiances lie. If hes a self proclaimed Ross County fan then he should accept the abuse thatd be served up to him anywhere in Scotland, where a player claimed to support their wage payers rivals.

Fantastic post of the quality I've now come to expect from many within CTO.

There are numerous examples of players all over the world whio end up playing for their boyhood heroes arch rivals without difficulty. Fortunately for them, this took place in parts of the world that have received the benefit of books and other forms of educational material. All this lack of opportunity and small man syndrome?!!!!!

    I despair!!!

Whats more worrying is that it's a moderator who is taking this standpoint !

  11. Situation is academic, even if he had wanted to stay, I don't think that given our circumstances we would have been prepared to pay a fee for him.

Hope he doesn't expect Dundee to be like Inverness. lol

  12. Whats interesting is that loads of Jags fans say the love it on Pie and Bovril.

I hadn't realised but last year they had a shocking pink strippy away top, which sold in far bigger numbers than expected.

So it looks like they are trying to be even more outlandish, this year in the hope that they can surpass last years sales figures.

However, I suspect rather like Chesney Hawks it was a won hit wonder and this one will flop.

  13. I think a lot of people want to believe but are looking at the fact that no club for quite some time has been relegated and bounced straight back. Couple this with all the Dundee spending & hype and thats why they are finding it hard to believe. Another factor is that many fans are still depressed about relegation and this is colouring their view.

If the team get off to a good start then I can see more fans getting behind the team. Belief will be the 12th player, we need it...

  14. Hamilton are a joke. They have basically went around all the clubs that they fancy signing players from, and put in less than half a valued bid for each player - ie dougie for 40k, when id say hes easily worth 80k, then the same with Falkirk and Killie.

Don't agree, this is a valid bidding strategy, let it be known you are bidding on lots of players from different teams so you are not to worried if you don't get in this case Imrie.

Start low, so you can then be seen to increase your bid and compromise.

In the current economic climate I suspect some teams will let players go cheaply (will take 75% or so of what they would like), as they may need it to hold off creditors/avoid admin (thinking Killie).

Or Boards might think as some on here have pointed out, how many players they had to let go on a free at the end of contact, perhaps better to take some cash, before this happens.

  15. Would you believe it, the chairman of the SFL commitee that made the decision to relegate Livi was none other than Airdrie's representitive.

No vested interest there then !! (lets ask Turkeys if Christmas is a good idea!!)

    Stinks even more.. !!!

  16. Livi's new owners have been led up the garden path by the SFL ( as much as Livi are in the wrong! ) two wrongs do not make a right!

Why ask for this huge bond payment? as a guarantee that they can full fill there SFL 1 fixtures.. and then relegate them.

Like it or not Football needs money men to come in and help clubs that are in a financial mess. What message does this give to future investors... in clubs. Where would we be without Sutherlands jiggery pokery losing our debt.

Whats more Livi have players under contract so they are now going to be a third division club paying 1st division wages from third division gate money. No they will cease to exist...

  17. The timing is unbelievable, it's 60 hours roughly until the start of the season and unlikely the league's can go ahead as planned.

Ross County were to play Livi on Saturday, now they won't.. they will play Airdrie (now promoted).

Or will they? I think a appeal will be launched so no match will take place, Airdrie will be in limbo as will Livi as will Cowdenbeath as will their opponents...

This could result in the SFL having to put all league matches on hold until this is resolved.

Going to Dunfermline this Saturday (You may need too think again!!) wouldn't surprise me if all league matches are called off until this is resolved.

What a mess!! Well done SFL!!
