Butchers No Show at Testimonial
Do you really know anything about anything..or are you just really good at googling? If you want to discuss narcissistic tendencies....we can always start with your posts on this forum, in which you sneer at everybody you perceive as being less intelligent than yourself...can we not.because the definition seems to describe you very well. Oh dear me - hope you feel better after projecting all that internalised anger. I suspect that I must represent a domineering male figure from your past. My sincere apologies if I released some repressed memories or emotions. Suggest you may read up a little about narcississm and leave the formulating and "teaching" to professionals like maself. Surely a professional would reference the book this quote is taken from as it's disrespectful to your fellow professional not to. I have a keen interest in personality disorders and would like to read more of this. I would like to contrast and compare it with the DSM IV amongst others.

Claude Gnakpa
On the Walsall forum they are being quite negative about him. However capable players don't become crap overnight. They sight fitness and lack of interest. Hopefully he just didn't fit at Walsall but will here and will re-find his form. You don't do what he did at Luton and Peterbourgh... and not have ability... He's only been at Walsall 6 months anyhow.

According to the fans on the Walsall forum as he has 6 months left on his contract a fee would be due. I'd be surprised if we buy a player, I might be wrong but I thought everyone we have got since Terry took over has come in on a free or a loan?

Tudur Jones
http://www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk/west-london-sport/west-london-brentford-fc/2011/01/26/brentford-boss-has-other-plans-for-owain-tudor-jones-109642-28057285/ Played Centre Back more recently than Midfield, so Mr IHE diagnosis is going to be difficult here... perhaps we should just label him PD..

Gillet and Proctor out for a month
Jones has been used as a defender before, if push came to shove he could be used that way.

Gregory Tade

ICT v Hibernian: Matchday Thread
I think folk are forgeting we have signed a Striker but he's out injured. Billy McKay... and before folk start nobody had heard of Adam Rooney till he came here and he took a while to settle. A youngster is our only hope really cos we cannot afford a established striker.. (perhaps a loan deal?)

ICT v Hibernian: Matchday Thread
Whilst you may well find it hard to go top 6 without a striker who can score 20 ish a season. Many bottom 6 clubs often don't have that kind of player because decent strikers command bigger money, many seasons Saint Mirren have struggled to score twenty goals as a team, but good defending & stuffy play has kept them up. We have players who can score goals, yes Rooney is a big loss.. but I think once our players are a bit sharper these chances will start to get converted. A new striker is a want rather than a need...

ICT v Hibernian: Matchday Thread
I don't care how you spell it Caley D, he wasn't even wearing a Kagool...and yet he's clearly the best thing to come out of Wales since Torchwood !

ICT v Hibernian: Matchday Thread
Gutted by result today.. If we had taken one of several chances and the ref had not been on their side.. things would have been very different. Tudor-Jones looked so good though... he made some lovely passes, had vision and looked really strong, why we didn't push him up for corners i don't know his height and strength could have made areal difference in the box.

Owain Tudur Jones signed
Interesting signing obviously has a bit quality, see he even played center back for Brentford when on loan ! Deffo should beef up midfield... competition for Cox?

Motherwell -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
No surprise we got beaten by Motherwell (a top 6 side). Butcher told the press a couple of days before the match that the season was starting too early to allow him to get the players in to complete the squad. (Never mind getting them to Gel). Our defense was makeshift yesterday. Thankfully we are part way to fixing things at the back as we have signed a experienced right back (unfortunately his international clearance was not through in time for yesterday). Another 2/3 signing's should be forthcomming.. Not only are we waiting for the team to gel, but tactics too are still at the experimental stage. So all in all, I don't think too much can be read into this result. In fact we sounded a little unlucky in the final 3rd, on another day we would have scored one or two. Things can and will get better.

Thomas Piermayr
1 year deal confirmed in P&J : http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/2364328 Delighted !! We so needed a decent right back...
-
Thomas Piermayr
i so hope this is true, what are the chances of getting international clearance before 3pm?.
-
Team for Motherwell
If Terry is still thinking about giving Thomas Piermayr a contract or if he is in process of drawing it up is he allowed to play Thomas as a trialist? against Motherwell.

Thomas Piermayr
What standard of league do Linz play in? I'm not up on world football...

Thomas Piermayr
Butcher on Thomas Piermayr: Taken from internet highland news report here: http://www.highland-news.co.uk/Sport/Football/Butcher-targets-Austrian-full-back-7046137.htm "I was very pleased with Thomas. He's sharp, quick and is a good passer of the ball. Right-back is his best position, but he can play left-back. His English is good, he has a good touch and fine understanding of his position. He rattled a few Buckie Thistle players because they were rattling him, which was great, he's got a bit of steel to him. "He had two games in four days. He played for Kilmarnock on Saturday, so he was starting to feel the effects of those at the end of the Buckie match. He hasn't done a lot of pre-season training, but he's played more than 60 games for Linz in the Austrian league and he's been an under-21 international, so he has quality. "He's desperate to do well, he had a contract at Linz, but he wants to play in the UK to broaden his horizons, so we'll see. He'll train with the first-team this week and we can see the quality that he has and then have a chat with him and his agent."

Thomas Piermayr
Killie have signed a couple of older foreign experienced defenders in the past 3 weeks. It is very possible that this is why Piermayr was not offered a contract by them.

Terry Butcher
This is the same OP that on the Aldershot game thread says "We should be pummeling these teams into the ground". I think he has rose tinted specs on as to the standard of SPL football. I don't think a bottom 6 SPL side is a superior side to a English second division side. I think much of this is down to money, I remember Brewster complaining that many Blue Square clubs could pay higher wages than the likes of us. Thankfully, we only have to compete with those around us and they have no money either. I'm optimistic about next season.

Kerrea Gilbert ex aresnal
"Bottom line is that he has a history of poor discipline and I doubt whether TB will or should stand for this." IHE I don't think Butcher would see it this way. Given our club captain was a bit wild in his young days and was rehab'ed by Butcher and his loan signing of Philip Morris when nobody else would touch him due to the fact i've heard he had previous for assaulting a bouncer in Edinburgh casino. I think Butcher would have given the lad a chance....
-
Double signing
One would have thought so, but I've just read an article that says we lost out on Terry Gornell the young striker we were due to sign from Accrington Stanley because a fee was payable due to his age and we couldn't afford it! Hope this is not true. What about the Marius money we ended up not needing.. where did that go.. ?

Andrew Greig (No 18 tonight v Clach)
Standing near the ICT dugout during the Elgin game you could hear Terry was making an extra effort to encourage this young lad. Given that he has had a run out in all three friendly games now, I think Terry see's something in him. But at 5 foot zero ? you are clearly at a disadvantage to defenders when it comes to the long ball & ariel ability. Having said that his ball control and passing seem better than many in the team and he was keen to run at defenders and try to get past them. Good luck to the boy.
