  1. We did ok first half but when we went 3 at the back for the second half we were awful. We did the opposite at Brora and went to a back four and we improved. I understand Robbo is trying out different things but I hope 3 at the back is not one he is considering

  2. Aberdeen cannot pay any sizable fee upfront. They have money but not large sums and will want to pay any transfer in instalments and this can be a get out clause if we really want to keep anyone they come asking about. Aberdeen fans seem to think they are in for Jamie Ness and are doubtful about the club dealing with ICT because of the upfront costs.

  3. First half was even with us having more possession but no cutting edge and then Vigurs fails to fight for a ball just inside our half, Partick move it well and Erskine curls it in well. Second half started with Partick pushing harder and pushing us back. The second goal was a cross from a free kick and all our defenders stopped and called for offside, Partick player headed the ball back across goal and it was scrambled in. We never looked like scoring but the disappointing thing is that both goals were avoidable. Vigurs had an off day and Polly looked very out of sorts. He seems to be flat footed and is never anticipating the ball. Overall very disappointed with performance but its still early and ICT are notoriously bad starters.

Loved the Bamby on ice description .We need a box striker and also someone willing to take a shot from 25 or 30 yds.I remember Barry Wilson scoring a stunner from about the halfway line. who else remembers that one other than Barry.it was in the first division i think.Great memories 4 or 5 goals a game quite regular.Better shut up or will be accused of going off topic.

Was that not in the cup at Motherwell?

  5. You obviously have a blind spot.  I give you Russell Duncan,  Ian Black,  Barry Robson,  Ian Vigurs (both times),  Ritchie Foran,  Phil McQuire,  Graeme Shinnie,  Charlie Christie,  Paul Cherry etc.  All able to act in a less than gentlemanly manner.

No. OTJ has retired from football on advice of doctors. His knee is knackered. Dont know what he's been doing though.

He's working for BBC Wales as a Welsh language reporter and was on a Welsh celebrity Masterchef recently

  7. With Dundee having the chance to relegate United on Monday what would you prefer,  a relegated team coming north on Friday or us being able to hammer the nail in the coffin.

Personally I would love to relegate this club after a history of events between the clubs leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.  First was the reluctance to pay the full fee agreed for Barry Robson and then refusing to pay money due to ICT when Robson was sold on.  The tapping up of Brewster after they were refused permission to speak to him and then Stephen Thomson saying teams like Inverness brought nothing to the SPL as it then was.

Relegating this club at TCS would be a nice feeling

  8. Also big rumour (from reliable source) that Yogi and board at loggerheads over the paying up of Russell's contract. Strange as I thought the Trinadad & Tobago FA paid him a small fortune for sacking him.

  9. I see Nairn are playing Ross County and Aberdeen this pre-season. Will they finally get round to playing us this year?

A friendly game would have to be wanted by both clubs and unfortunately Nairn committee members are bitter people who blame ICT for the power swing to the east in the Highland League and would not welcome a friendly.

  10. I do find it odd that Yogi doesn't play him more, I think Nick's skill and ability and Yogi's desired playing style go hand in hand. But what would I know!

Ross, IMHO, is the best passer of the ball we have. I find it bizarre he hasn't featured more over the past season. If he leaves I'll be very disappointed.

I agree totally but if he played who missed out. Maybe when we had the two bad runs things may have been shaken up a bit more allowing Nick in at times but on the overview of the season the players picked did the job but I do think Nick would start more games ( a lot more ) if he stays at TCS.

  11. I understood Hayes leaving for Aberdeen and the reasons Shinnie has gone but if Marley goes to them it goes against everything he has said about playing at a higher level. Last time I looked Aberdeen finished 1 place above ICT and won no silverware.

  12. Marley, if you go good luck in the future but please do not go to another Scottish club as it will show greed over ambition as ICT are in Europe and have just won a major honour so to go to another Scottish club will be going against what you have said about playing at a higher level.
