  1. Because of the ridiculous boycott of the TCS by their sad excuse for fans and their complete envy of everything ICT do I hope they go down.

And on a serious note they could keep dropping as the infrastructure of the club is as solid as diahhroea, which, strangely enough, is how I view their fans.

  2. Here's another one:

Which player has tallied up the highest amount of appearances for ICT but had the shortest amount of game time (if that makes sense!)? Got to be between Rory McAllister and Shane Sutherland I'd have thought.

Proctor might be in the mix too

I would count Davies Proctor well out of it. He started a lot of games under a few managers.

  3. I do think this is a wind up! I don't care about the trivia that is talked about but I would like to know about Brill & Forans injuries. I would like the club to tell me our game against Celtic has a new kick off time. I don't think that is too much to ask?

  4. It's behind a paywall so I've no idea what the article actually says but the headline is encouraging:

    thistle/482456/caley-thistle-step-up-efforts-to-sign-up-players/

Nothing really new. I would like to think everything said has been ongoing for a while. With the clubs wages being what they are I still think it's dangerous to leave it this late in a players contract to start to tie them down. Players with no previous thought of leaving could be turned with the carrot of more money if clubs now approach them.
  5. I can see the drama now with Gollum and his vanishing spray. Hi will be brandishing it as if it were a light sabre and use it for the most dramatic effect possible. Could the spray be used on the ref.

  6. For me the only thing that worries me about all this is the clarity of information given to the media and as such to the fans. If Yogi thinks we can get by with what we've got, that's his call and he will be judged on it, If Kenny and the board made decisions about finances that's their call and they will be judged on it. The big but is statements from Kenny that I took as meaning something was in place to cover for Billy going, then Yogi talking about loans etc. I expected this to mean someone being brought in. I'm not raging because we didn't sign players nor do I think we can compete for Europe without a proper striker but what I would have liked is clarity from board and manager.

The problem with clarity here is that all transfer plans depend on the other side - will the other club release a player, will wage demands be within our budget, will the player want to up sticks to come to the centre of our universe, etc.

Cut a little slack to the manager and the chairman - make your judgements after the next month when we know if there has been an adverse effect on results.

If you read my post I have not criticised either manager or chairman. On the contrary as I say it's their decisions to make. All I ask for is for us the paying public to be enlightened as to what the club plans are. We put our cash in is it too much to ask for a little something back. And just to make my standing clear I have nothing but praise and respect for our chairman and after initial reservations about the manager he is winning me round.

  8. We do seem to struggle against teams that shut us down quickly , County, Partick, Aberdeen and first half last week against Accies. Have to agree the pitch and wind suited the hit and hope of County but we did not get anyone close enough to Marley and then seemed to drop back and invite them onto us. It's early days without Billy but if we are going to play Marley up front we need an other out ball that he provided when playing wide. They certainly did their homework on our fullbacks as they hardly got in behind. Any way January undefeated and a cup game to look forward to.

  9. Not dissing Billy but it was expected and plans seem to be in place (Christie for me) to try to cover for him. Bringing in a make shift player at this time could disrupt the whole squad. Billy's goals have been important but not so much this season but his work rate is what we need to replace.

  10. I wouldn't mind a loan signing plus Atajic on a free contract.

Also, was reading pie and bovril earlier on (nothing compared to CTO, certainly won't be on there browsing again) and saw a suggestion from an Aberdeen fan (an argumentative one!) saying that we could do a swap deal, they get Shinnie now and in return we get Clark Robertson.

I actually liked the Robertson suggestion but would take him next season when Graeme leaves.

With Graeme going to Dons, Robertson isn't going to get games?

There is a big reason Aberdeen fans want to get rid of Robertson any way they can. It's because he is a bomb scare and can't defend.

  12. Good luck Billy, you were a treat to watch. I'm looking forward to see who's going to fill your boots!

Why the very different attitude to Graeme Shinnie who served the club as well and for longer and who is at least staying until the end of the season ? Uh! One moves to Engerlund and nets the club in excess of £150,000 and........

The other goes to our rivals and it is announced the week we could overtake them in the league.

No I can't think why people think differently about the two players?

  13. Manfer, opinion is NOT fact. It is opinion. The OP has made allegations. At this moment they are NOT fact, they are allegations. Others are therefore entitled to voice contrary opinions, it's just balance. Neither can you moderate in the way you have done and then dismiss contrary opinions with "life's too short/ pedantry" dismissals which are frankly arrogant. Explaining argument and pointing out rule infringements is simply something that you have to do as a moderator - it's your job.

I never thought I'd see such poor moderation on this site.

It is FACT that these things were said. Not an allegation but Fact. If you were in our part of the stand you heard it. Fact not allegation or opinion.
  14. With his imminent change of lifestyle the move to Aberdeen would make sense to him and his family. Closer to his own mum and dad and not a million miles from Inverness. Having said all that I cannot wish him well when joining our rivals and as has been said major lack of ambition and a slap in the face to ICT and the fans announcing this when we are in a battle with Aberdeen for league placings. Anyway I hope he likes '80's music and shoulder pads because he will be going back 30 years to be in the same era as their fans seem to live.

  15. You were not the only ones to walk out. At least 2 families near us made the same decision and walked before half time saying they would not be coming back and were going to contact the club. As a grown up with no children at the match it was not a problem to me but I hope these ( there was more than one) big men are so proud of thereselves

  16. Slightly off track but rumours that Stephen Hendrie, Hamilton Accies left back, is interesting West Ham and a price of over £2 million being quoted. He is out of contract at the end of the season. I have seen him a few times this season and he is not as good as Shinnie. How is this happening?
