  1. I have no issue with us taking players on trial and indeed welcome the activity... however what we need is an experienced central defender (who is a leader), an experienced striker who has scored at SPL level and if we let Black or Cowie or both go in January we will need experienced midfielders to get us out of the trouble we are in.

I remain unconvinced that any of the players being touted provide the level of experience I feel we require to guide us up the table.

  2. Any other club and Brew would have had his jotters by now along with Grassa. The only comment I have on the board is that I do not know why have they not reacted / acted.

Sticking by a manager who has shown no signs of being aware enough to turn this around, and indeed has made things worse, is naive in the extreme. Not acting when it is clear that the spirit has been bled out of the club and the quality of player is being diluted by the week is absurd. Giving a tactically inept manager money to spend when he has lost the players he has is gross miss management.

Managers come and managers go but the club needs to be above it all and the club needs to survive. I fear that if we go down we will disappear into obscurity and in many years time I?ll be chatting to my son reminiscing on how the team I have forced him to support were ?in the big league? when he was but a baby.

I?m not happy and I cannot see things getting any better ? I fear for the future of the club I love.

  3. hate to burst your bubble but these guys are the bread and butter signings! The tactical genius will play Morais up front (he played there in his youth) and Gatheussi as a center back (Collins said that he could also play there when he signed him). Hope I'm wrong but not holding my breath.

  4. "snap Tokely thunderbolt shot" - lol - watched in horror as Tokley broke up the Rangers move in his own inimitable fashion

I actualy liked Bayne as a player and thought he played pretty well for us especially in the 4-5-1 away from home Never forget the game at Ibrox :rotflmao:

  5. don't dissagree about the tactical numpty dragging us down, however the backbone has either aged or left and not been replaced with like. I would say we need:

At least 1 good, experienced central defender that is a leader

At least 1 good, experienced striker that can put the ball in the back of the net

a new left back (dick is too old and slow and has been shown up this season)

a new right back (rossco is a liability and proctor is no more than cover)

cover for left back (Lionel is no good and McBain is too old)

A right winger (Not McBain, not Imrie, not Cowie), perhaps Zander but not seen enough of him to say

A good central midfielder (Black is leaving and we need someone to fill the void - may be Vigurs)

A good central midfielder (cowie is leaving)

Someone to teach Duncan how to pass the ball to players in the same coloured shirt as himself

Someone to get Imrie some consistancy

As it stands I'd keep Esson, Munro, Duncan (after training), Imrie (on a good day), Vigurs, Rooney

so we need 5 or 6 + decent cover.

  6. as it stands based on last year, support levels, etc then Well would be a step up, however, this year they are a poor team (I know they are above us but we are shocking). Of the teams mentioned Well are by far the smallest:

It is up for debate but I would order them as Rangers, Preston, Leeds (bigger than Rangers and Preston but punching well below their weight at the moment), Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Well, Caley

  7. "eh, we proved, eh, in the first half, eh, that, eh, we are better then Rangers, eh, and, eh, should have, eh, been, eh, 2, eh, up, eh. eh, but in the second, eh, Rangers, eh, were magnificent, eh, and, eh, we were, eh, unlucky, eh, to lose, eh, a goal so quickly after half time, eh. eh, the players, eh, can't pass, eh, or, defend, eh, or score, eh, and the crowd, eh, were on my back, eh, so they, eh, are all, eh, to blame, eh. Malkie, eh, and I, eh, had a good, eh, match, eh."

I'll get my coat... so should Brew

  8. Our defence has been rubbish since Dods left, yet Brew has done nothing to fix it except try to use Maguire & Proctor who are both liabilities in central defence. I also think that this season we have also seen Hastings & Tokely reach the end of their SPL lifecycle - if we stay up we need 3 new defenders (although Proctor could play RB).

  9. The longer this drags on the more depressing it gets. If it wasn't for Stevie G all of football would be laughing at us!

The board need to bin brew now and move to damage limitation... falling crowds, falling season ticket sales, growing complaints, clear lack of passion from players, better players moving elsewhere... it all points to a sinking ship and all of this has happened under brew's leadership! From a relegation point of view, Hamilton are playing better football than us and, as it stands, will beat us next month. If the board stand still and let this happen we will go down and we won't come back up. The ONLY way to get out of this mess is to get rid of brew NOW and give his successor time and money to put the problems brew has presided over right.

  10. Apologies as I've not read all pages of this thread, but what I don't understand is that everyone knows that when a manager loses the dressing room there is no way back. This has clearly happened to Brew so why has the board not sacked him. Couple this with his splatter gun approach of blaming all but himself for the teams failings means, in my view, his position is now untenable.
