Cracking goal but I watched him against Levski in the Champions League the other week and he was absolutely mince (as they say in Brazil)  :001:

Great player but quite a prima dona - he warmed up in a corner on his own apart from the other players surrounded by camera men and they even utilised Deco to knock long balls at him so that he could do all sorts of flicks and back kicks.  Was quite surprised he didn't get himself injured when the game started as I didn't see much in the way of stretching.  During the game he was pretty ineffective - can't blame him there though as I don't think may of the Barca players wanted to be there.

Only high points were a banner that was unfurled that said "Stoichkov - whore of Barcelona" (he was in attendance and is ex-CSKA) and when Barca scored after 4 minutes CSKA fans outside the stadium launched a celebratory fire works display (all red fire works and rockets) much to the confusion of the majority of the 45,000 spectators inside the stadium.

Don't think Barca will win the Champions League this year from what I have seen on TV this year so far - but you never know  :024:

Very much the same myself - I think whisky is very much a personal taste - as they say "one man's meat is another man's poision". 

Proof of this is "Talisker" - first tasted on a tour of Skye several years ago and although a good night was had I couldn't get rid of the taste of the stuff for about 2 days - never had a drop since - although every time I see the bottle it reminds me of a cracking holiday.  Others swear by it.  One thing is true - it always gets a 5 in the 0-5 taste rating - and I would not in any way disgaree with that.

My favourite tipples that I always come back to though are Glenmorangie and Macallan.

I believe you are correct the Ben Bracken is indeed a 12 year old single malt from Tamnavulin Distillery.

As for the Aldi Whisky "Highland Black" it is just listed as a Scottish 8 year old blend purchased by Aldi in 1999 - no details on what makes up the blend - but might have a bottle purchased myself just in the name of experimentation  :023:

Interesting point CD - the allure of Caledonian Stadium - never quite thought of it that way before.

I know there has been all the discussions about cost etc in the past and I totaly agree on commercial sense ahead of decisions that have been made without any forethought and the proper analysis performed (I mean I see enough of them at work every week) but there is something fundamentally wrong with a stadium with only three stands.

For a while I used to watch Rot Weiss Essen who also played (and still do) in a stadium with three stands (slightly bigger than those at TCS though) and that didn't seem right either - the gound just loses something and I am sure it is the same for the players.  Now I think of it - it would be interseting to hear players' views on this.

Anyway we will just have to wait for that wealthy benefactor to come along and pay for the stand him/her self so we no longer have to discuss this and the club does not have to bear the cost - the perfect scenario.  Anyway where are those Euro-Lotto tickets.... :024:
