  1. I was not saying don't protest at all, I think I said postpone or tone it down and what I was meaning when making that point is that you have to be very careful over how you do it and equally if you decide to go ahead, that you should choose your moment(s) wisely as many may be less sympathetic than they were just a few days ago.

If its "bull in a china shop" sort of stuff, its those who are protesting who will come out of it looking like the bad guys ... so whatever you feel the need to do, give it a bit of thought first is all I am saying.

    Shock.

You're as bad as the club

  2. how many people actually believe the board chose brewster second time round anyway?

sutherland gave him the job in a one to one meeting which was then rubber stamped by the board.

Unless you were present at this alleged "one-to-one" meeting, then I would urge you (and anyone else) to be quite careful about making comments which cannot be backed up by fact.

Feelings may be running high on this "board" but it is my opinion that the other "board" of which we speak is also watching comments on here quite closely ...

    And?

They can do what they like, but why does it matter that they're reading a public forum?

  3. Was hard to tell because we were defending for the most of the first half, second half we were playing direct football because we were trying to get the equaliser...

Black & Duncan were struggling to pass the ball 10yrds so didn't really leave any other option than hit the ball long

I agree that some of the defending required a desperate hoof up the park but there were several occasions when a pass was on but it was just thumped up to no-one in particular. Munro seems incapable of a short pass in the game, with aimless thumps his preferred choice. Tokely was a shocker for both goals and I'll agree he didn't look like he was interested. Hastings had a shocker in my view, what he was doing at the second goal I do not know.

First of all Tokely and Cowie(?) win the ball from the Burnley winger, only for Tokely to give it straight back to him. The cross comes in to the back post where Hastings appeared to fall over and let Burnley in. The whole team should be embarrassed!

Going forward, the only thing we could muster were shots from 35 yards which had no danger of troubling the keeper. Barrowman's goal was the result of them fannying about at the back and not something we did. The complete lack of pace is what concerns me the most, there is just none in that team.

  4. If we play like that every week then we are going down!

That was my first game for over a year so don't have much to compare it too but there was very little encouragement for the new season.

We spent the first half just punting the ball aimlessly up the park to no-one and barely attempted to get the ball down and pass it. Munro has clearly forgotten what a pass is as I don't think he managed one all day, and Tokely was at fault for both of the goals as he needlessly gave the ball away. The other thing of note was the complete lack of pace in the team, with no-one capable of running very fast which meant that it took ages to go anywhere when we eventually got the ball.

I know that the Championship is way above SPL standard but it was obvious that they could have scored a load more if they wanted to and we only came into the game once they made loads of subs and basically gave up.

  5. Would you rather we played Zibi in goal?

We could give him a chance! Why sign a player if you never have the intention of playing him, just a waste of a wage otherwise. But we all know Brew's record of making changes when required  :017:

On another note, are admin going to send the results of this poll to the club? Or even better to Brew personally?

  6. I wouldn't mind seeing Robbo back and that bloke from Chester (Willamson?) was sacked recently.  Don't know if he'd be any good though.

Robbo: Haven't we learned our lessons with re-appointing managers?

Blobby Williamson: Brewster would be a better option!!

  7. I always worried about Brewster's ability to actually build a team, and it seems I am being proved right unfortunately. I haven't made it to a game this season so I can't comment on specific performances, but Brewster was shocking at Yinited and it seems more and more likely that he got lucky during his first spell here.

He took us over when we had a settled squad and more than enough ability to finish where we did, so didn't have a lot to do really. I'm not saying he was rubbish as he obviously made tweaks and small changes such as the fitness etc. However, the foundation was there and no major changes were required. He seemed to play himself far too much at times and seemed a bit selfish as the tactics appeared to be "thump the ball to Brew" in certain games, the worst being a trip to Motherwell i recall. Brew up on his own, everyone thumping the ball up to him, which the Motherwell defence dealt with comfortably.

He then left us to join Dundee United, and actually had to build a team as Yinited were hopeless at the time, yet he was clueless and actually made them worse! He had to go there and buy players to replace the dross that they had at the time, which he managed to do by buying more dross, such as Proctor and Steven Robb. His amazing record of about 3 wins in 30-odd games or whatever it was showed that whilst good at coaching a good team, he clearly had no eye for a player and could not buy a decent player.

This amazing record led to him getting the sack, and the fact that Levein has largely the same squad barring a few additions shows that Brewster has no tactical or motivational nous either, and Levein doesn't have Robson to bail him out either! So this appeared to be a record so good that ICT brought him back when Christie resigned, and barring a decent run towards the end of last year, we've been useless. Added to the fact of his reported treatment of players such as Rankin and Wyness (I don't know the stories well enough to comment properly), it all adds up to the fact that I think he should go.

So it's over to the ICT Board now, we've never been in the position of having to sack a manager before and they've got a decent record of doing what's necessary (barring Brew's reappointment), so it's time they stood up and did the right thing.
