  1. I'd recommend heading to the San Siro, and it should be a great atmosphere against Roma. I'd imagine you'd be able to buy a ticket out there either at the ground or at the Bancomat's in town.

I also went on the tour a few years ago, and would also recommend it. Get shown the press areas, dressing rooms etc. although I doubt you'll get a tour on matchday.

  2. [link removed]

    That's the site you want!

I use it and can't really fault them, and it's free

[modbreak=Edited by CaleyD]Link removed as it is not on any list we have of official media partners for football games.  Happy to re-instate the link if someone can prove otherwise.[/modbreak]

  3. Any chance of buying a home top?

The online store still selling last season's, with not even an option to pre order the new one!

Once again, the ICTFC Marketing Department............. :clapping03:

  4. I've heard that he's only to be take in as cover and only on a 6 month contract.  He has to be better than no cover at all and lets face it, there are far worse players out there we could be signing as cover than Bobby Mann.

Really? There's not many if there is!

Is this not the reason we have a reserve team? To be in reserve if anything happens to your first team!

  5. However I don't think that the player's fundamental need to get back south is fully appreciated. In particular, I understand that his girlfriend was very keen to get back home

I also think that Darren Dods' move to United was very much influenced by the central belt factor, and understandably so. A lot of these players come up here, do a great job, but understandably want back home after a while.

Yes, because the central belt is so far away!

I really hate the old line of "I don't wanna leave the central belt", it's 3 hours in a car FFS!

  6. So you could get some muppet from San Marino who's played 100% of his country's games for the past 2 years and he's straight in, no questions asked?

Your nation has to have an average FIFA rank above 70 over the previous three seasons. For example, they will take all the rankings over the previous 3 years and if the average means that the side is ranked above 70 then the 75% rule applies. Not entirely sure what happens if the association is ranked below 70

  7. Perhaps the reaction - and our hurried buttons with links to the petition - are because we are under the impression that the permit had already been rejected almost instantaneously because of the 75% rule .... not a month after we signed him !

I'm sure the Home Office have got a **** of a lot of applications to sift through, even Arsenal's application for Eduardo took weeks. It's probably more than a delay due to the high number of footballers arriving from abroad or changing clubs, as well as the usual applications from "normal" workers.

  8. Calm down!

I'm sure the 75% rule is applied first and granted and rejected on that basis first. As he doesn't make that criteria, his was rejected. However, the club will now go back to prove that he is of sufficient quality to improve the squad and SPL. And lets be honest, proving that he is better than Graham Bayne won't be that hard!

An appeal will be heard, and it will be granted.

Oh, and Re: Hastings, he was already living in Inverness since he was a child and may even be a UK citizen so no work permit is required!

  9. I'm sure I read recently as well that Barcelona were keen to put a team in the MLS like Chivas USA which will probably be called Barcelona America or something like that.  I haven't heard anymore about it though and someone people thought that it would be hard for yank fans to support a team with another city's name in it.

Crystal Palace have already done it and I think a lot more clubs might start american versions in the near future. Palace use it to send players out on loan and also in the hope of unearthing some talent to transfer to London.

  10. "I am reliably informed, (by teletext) that the ICT pre-season has been arranged for Italy from the 8th July to the 15th July at Montecattini, where the club went last year. This year Grazza is saying they hope to meet serie A or B opposition as opposed to the two low level games played last year."

That's my point!!! Why do we have to find out by teletext?!

How amateurish is that? Oh we can't be arsed to tell the fans we'll just tell teletext and let them find out on their own

  11. I wasn't saying they shouldn't concentrate on the team, but your not telling me that pre-season isn't planned months in advance so the club will have plenty of time to release dates/location.

I'm not asking for them to plan travel or anything, but how hard is it to release a statement a couple of weeks before the end of the season saying that the tour will be to xx and between xx and xx July. Nothing hard about that!

  12. Foreign training camps and pre-season tours are a luxury and are more about building player morale, team spirit and giving the fans an excuse for a wee jolly.

Well they would be if they actually released the details more than a week before! How many fans went over to Italy this year?

Fan: What's the clubs plans for a pre-season tour?

Club:We're going to Italy, I think

    Fan:Where in Italy?

    Club:Not telling

Why is that they can never release any details? All we seem to get is that they're going to Italy and will be playing two games. Dates and places are sketchy and hearsay until only a couple of weeks before hand, by which time it's too late to arrange travel at a decent price.

    Is it that hard?

  13. beckham couldnt tackle a fish supper.. where you getting that from?    because he poses for photoshoots and shaves his legs?

the guys a great midfielder and is as committed as any of the players you mention, i was as surprised as anybody to see him playing infront of the back four at real but he made gravesson look like nakamura.

when he did make himself space and had more time to pick a pass the only player ive seen this past 5 years that bettered him was zidane.  only critique of beckhams style is that he doesnt come forward often enough, if he worked himself into positions where he could whip shots in hed score about a dozen goals a season

I'm getting that from having watched his matches for 10 years or so, he's just not very good at tackling which probably comes from having spent a lot of his career on the right wing which doesn't require him to be flying into tackles very often.

You say he's committed - big wow! I'd be committed if I played for Real Madrid or Man U but I'd still be shyte!!

I'd agree that when it comes to hitting long balls there's probably very few who can match him in that department, but is he good enough to find that available space consistently in a holding role to pick those passes? I don't think so. It would be very easy to take Beckham out the game if his role was to collect the ball from the back four and ping long balls, a simple marking job would prevent them giving it to Beckham and he's rendered useless.

You say he's the best holding midfielder in the world, yet criticise him for not getting forward? Thought the whole idea of a holding midfielder was to act as cover while other players go forward more often.

  14. at least we have the finances and demand for it. and as for Duncans goal being the best in any of our games how the **** are you supposed to know that?

Spot On! Only someone who saw every one of Dundee United's games last season could comment, and there won't be a huge number of DU fans who attended every game.

Blah blah blah Caley are succesfull blah blah, however at the end of the day there are more Utd fans in this world than ICT fans which means ultimately there will be a bigger demand by Utd fans for such a dvd. And its nothing to do with being "starved of success" some fans will buy any old tat just to help their club.

Again true! Lots of clubs release these DVD's every year as they raise a bit more cash and as stated people are sad enough to buy them each year. And I'll bet if we released one we'd sell maybe 5 copies at the most!

  15. beckhams one of the best holding midfielders in the world, if not the best.  when he used to sit infront of the real back 4 and ping the passes around he was clinical and impossible to predict.

    What are you smoking?!  :015:

I'd agree that Beckham should play in the middle, as he seems to play better in there but there is no way he's the best holding midfielder in the world! He couldn't tackle a fish supper, never mind an attacking midfielder!

Gattuso, Makelele, Xavi, Mascherano, Cambiasso, Pizarro are just some players who would be easily ahead of him and a fair few others as well. Beckham's become too much of a one-trick pony these days, only remembered if he scores a free-kick or provides a good cross for a goal. The reason Madrid signed him and the reason that he's in LA is marketing, pure and simple. He wants to open academies in the states, wants to become more involved in the hollywood scene in order to earn a lot more money from sponsorship deals. He'll play well for Galaxy because he'll stand out a lot more and of course the media will fall over his every move.
