  1. But the agent wants £10,000 from us,  for his part in the deal.

    Umm, no!

A agent agrees a contract with a player to be his representative in handling transfers and new contracts. Therefore the agent is an "employee" of that player so any fees the agent wants should come from the player's own pocket. ICT are buying John Rankin the player, not Tom Callaghan the agent.

Like Pele said to McGarry, he's your agent so either you pay him or feck aff!!

  2. Anyone know when we're actually playing a game?

Once again the silence is deafening from ICT, they can somehow tell the Record who we're playing but can they tell the fans? Oh no, that'd be far too nice and sensible an idea!

  3. What's wrong with having both on Sunday? One at the current 2pm slot and one at 4pm?

At least then there should still be decent crowds as it is a weekend as opposed to an evening game.

If they're both in different police areas (which I imagine they will be) then there's no problem. Works for Sky!

  4. I'm sure it was Benbecula we thumped 8-1 in 2003. Even Robbo played!

Didn't we play two games in Orkney a few years ago when we had Kisnorbo training with us before he signed for Hearts? Think we spanked one o their teams 11-0 or something!

  5. Whilst on the subject of buying and club shops?

Why do the photos on the club shop look so amateurish? They look like they've been taken in someones bedroom, badly!

In fact why does everything ICT do appear to be cobbled together half heartedly?

"We're having an official strip launch" - What we really mean is we'll take a (bad) picture of Tokely on the pitch and that's it! Oh we'll also forget to mention anything about the price or where to buy it

"We've launched an online shop" - What we really mean is we've taken bad photos on Morag's old polaroid and scanned them in a bit wonky and you can buy wonderful items such as thankyou cards and wrapping paper, but useful things like season tickets and match tickets................ummm no! That's far too 20th century

  6. I just wish we had the option of getting some unbiased broadcasting

I'm not sure about ITV, but the EBC will have an option to turn off the commentary and hear only crowd noise so that will save me punching Motty through the TV!

And at the end of the day, every TV and Radio does have an off button!

p.s. You could do what I'll be doing to avoid their first game, and the worst of the commentary, watch Scotland take on the Springboks on Saturday at 2pm! :021:

  7. The club want to launch the strip properly

    So why didn't they?!

All we've got is onepicture of Tokely wearing it and displaying it, does anyone know what the bakc of the to plooks like?

And can we pre-order it? No, that'd be far too sensible an idea! When you said they wanted to do an official launch, I was expecting them to unveil at the Stadium like they have, and simultaneously begin taking pre-orders on the web and by phone.

Who's running our so called Marketing Department? A shaved monkey?

  8. The club want to launch the strip properly

    So why didn't they?!

We have one picture of Tokely and that's it! Does anybody know what the back of the strip looks like? Is it stripes as well or is it all blue or red?

It's not on the Club Shop and although I haven't tried to, I doubt you could pre-order over the phone.

Who's running our so-called Marketing Department? A shaved monkey?

  9. Tbut then as the order has been delayed

    Surprise Surprise!

When has an ERREA order never been delayed?

How the club keep using them I've no idea! The biggest shower of ***** kit manufacturers I've ever seen, and it's not like it's top quality garments we're getting either!

  10. Aye, Walter doesn't know what he's doing!

Takes a squad all the way to Japan, finds at least two new players for the Qualifiers, those players help whoop a team 5-1 that is currently 24 places above us in the rainkings, draws with another one in the top twenty in the world, keeps a clean sheet against them too, wins a trophy, wins $100,000, gains a bit more respectability lost under Berti.

    Aye, he's pish!

  11. I know I'm a bit slow but it's only recently I realised that Julyan and Cameron Stout are brothers.

    But why the different surnames?

Wass there a very happy milkman delivering more than milk in Orkney about 30 years ago?!

  12. + Miller has had a terrible season at Wolves.... with them not even making the playoffs

Think you are judging Miller on previous performances, which is no use to Scotland in the present!!

He's scored 17 goals! How is that a terrible season?

How many does he have to score for a decent season? 40?

Lets see how many both strikers score next season competing in the same league against the same players, I'm guessing Miller will score a lot more!

  13. TBH personally I'd prefer Dargo to Miller but I can see why he is favoured!

    Hardly!

Dargo's been brilliant this season don't get me wrong, but this is by far and away his best ever goalscoring season. Who's to say he's just had a lucky year and next season he'll only score 5 goals?

Miller has been scoring consistently all his career and at a much higher level, so deserves his chance at the international stage.

  14. I have lost a lot of respect for Walter Smith now. Not because im an inverness fan and we have no players in the squad but how can you play Marshall and Smith when I cant remember the last time they actually played. Walter has some serious thinking to do. I hope we win but the keepers make a blunder to prove how unfit they are.

Graeme Smith has been no.1 for Motherwell all season, and Marshall is still young. These two have a chance to become Scotland squad players for many years, whilst Brown has been consistently overlooked all his career, and these two 'keepers are both younger.

And there is no way Dargo will ever play for the full team.

  15. i can see this ending in tears.... OF likely to pick up 70-80% with the edinburgh clubs killie and the dons sharing 15% and the rest split semi equally - or maybe im just synical :?

    You won't be far off!

I think it was the last BBC deal, they paid £8 million for the rights, and the OF took £6 million of it, leaving £2 million for the other 10 clubs

  16. Walter Smith can just stew in his own juice once the Euro Qualifiers go pear-shaped for his squad.

    Get a grip! :!:

I don't see a lot wrong with that squad to be honest. Yes, it would have been nice to see an ICT player in here, but we all know Dargo and Brown ain't gonna become regular Scotland players and that taking them to Japan would be a complete waste.

Smith and Marshall are both younger than Brown and have more of a future in the international set up than Brown ever had. And do me a favour with regards to Dargo, do people honestly think he's gonna replace Miller/McFadden/O'Connor/Riordan/Beattie/Maloney?

Walter is obviously taking players that have a chance of playing for us in either the next qualifying stages or at some point in the future, and there's no way Dargo or Brown will be involved.

  17. "At Inverness there was not so much to worry about in the background," continued Brewster.

"But at a big club like United you've got a lot more to contend with..."

Cheeky b'staard, who's he kiddin'

Think he's got it spot on actually!

ICT is a smaller club than Dundee United, everything is on a bigger scale at United than at ICT. I'm not saying this is always going to be the case, but at the moment it is.
