  1. For me, the only real question mark is the lack of stars.  I know the argument about perspective but I find it very difficult to believe. I could go through most of the points but most of them are down to a matter of belief, e.g. the flag 'fluttered' due to it being constructed with wires inside giving the impression of fluttering.  See - you either believe it or you don't!

Funnily enough though, the 'not frozen in space but roasted' is still a debate in science.  No-one is still quite sure what would happen.  There are rumours of an astronaut having to enter a shuttle without a spacesuit a la Space Odyssey 2001 (can't remember why) but it's only a rumour.

  2. I prefer Rory Bremner's impression:

"Why does everyone believe global warming is happening just because every scientist in the world says so, whereas me, an overweight television presenter, says it's not"

  3. Heard a rumor over the weekend that Marius is to be sold to Werder Bremen for ?1.8 million. Great piece of business if this is true ... but who would get the money ... ICT / Orion or would it be split ??

Heard a rumor over the weekend that Tokely is to be sold to AC Milan for ?1.8 billion. Great piece of business if this is true ... but who would get the money ... ICT / the Tooth Fairy or would it be split ??

Please select A if you think the Marius story is true

Please select B if you think the Tokely story is true

Please select C if you think both are true

Please select D if you think neither is true

Mostly A, B or C - Dear Friend, I need to deposit USD 25, 000, 000 in a foreign bank account.  Your name has come highly recommended.  Please send me your passport and bank account number.

Mostly D - aw, you looked!

  4. Helped in relegating Bradford from the Premiership and Championship, a club which went into Administration ?

Helped in relegating Luton from the Championship and this season League One, again a club which went into Administration.

This guy has some record as a clubs grim reaper  :010: :010: :010:  :crazy07:

That's why I'm glad we never signed Don Cowie - helped in getting Ross County relegated.

  5. Although the answer is no, it's not the full story.  Had he been played in the proper formation with a manager with more tactical drive, then I think he could have been our most skillful player since Christie.  Marius was always going to be a 'hole' player, providing goals and chipping in with a few.  Imagine playing Peter Beardsley up front on his own - I'm sure he would have done just the same.  Oozed class but not prolific.  Imagine him playing just behind Wyness or Dargo.  Cowie and Rankin filling in the other two attacking midfield positions, with Black playing the general in front of a defensive midfielder, like Proctor or Duncan.  That's a decent team.

  6. suppose!!

but why is the cinema so expensive??

and the bus is cheap either!!

80p to get from town to culloden :020:!!

Cinema is no cheaper anywhere else.

When I lived in Cornwall, ?3 to get from Camborne to Truro (same kind of distance).  Paisley to Glasgow - about ?2 return.  Think yourself lucky.

Why don't they make it cheep??

all this saving the environment stuff!!

it get pepole out there cars!!

i normally get my mum or dad to take me places because the bus is far too expensive!!

    Absolutely  :clapping03:  :clapping03:  :clapping03:

Subsidised dirt cheap but very comfortable regular public transport is one of my policies when I run for PM, First Minister or King of the Multiverse.

  8. The connection between football players and girls is well documented, ask the Highland News to stop printing those "club scene" photographs every week. That would put anyone off coming here.

    LOL :015:

  9. I'd just start playing all the youngsters and the likes of Wyness, Wilson etc to see if they're good enough.

Doubt there's much chance though with our recent results.  I'm sure Brew will try to put out his strongest.

  10. .... nothing to do, nowhere to go out. Your list is true but hardly appealing to a young footballer.

Appealing to a young footballer? They want anything other than pubs, clubs and semi-comatose willing girls?

Um...these aren't exactly lacking in Inverness you know.  Having grown up in the Central Belt, people just view the Highlands as a long way away.  For some bizarre reasons, Glaswegians and the like have no trouble going to Brum, Liverpool etc etc to visit family but a 3 hour drive through beautiful countryside to get to a city with more happening in it than anywhere bar Glasgow and Edinburgh (I'd say more than Dundee, Aberdeen, Paisley, Falkirk etc etc) is just too much to cope with.

  11. Well as the title does say dream team, i wouldnt mind jose mourihno and steve clarke or maybe even arsene wenger

    Well, in that case...me and my best pals!  :001: :001: :001: :001:

In fact we could leave them out.  Based on no experience whatsoever, I'm sure I could do it all  :001:

  12. Are you part of the coaching staff at ICT and as such have been watching him during his last couple of days, or are your observations based on Scotch Mist?

We're all entitled to our opinion  :001:

CaleyD - seems to me it's the latter!

I'm just surprised to see so many pages dedicated to this guy when there's more important stuff to discuss !!

and yet for someone who's only got 11 posts to his profile, quite a few are taking up discussing Juanjo  :024:

BTW, we still supposed to say Whwan-jo (as in Banjo) or Whan-ho (as it should be but not quite so comical)

  13. Much as I think Brewster is a crap manager and left us in the lurch, he's nothing if not demanding in professionalism.  It's fine for the new manager to want his own backroom, so no problem with Park going (other than they should never have brought back CB in the first place).

Robbo as manager would be a step in the wrong direction - assistant would be fine but let's have some new blood in there....and a place for Pele Paterson!

  14. "I heard that "

    "I wouldnt be suprised if"

"If this i proved to be correct"

"The Sun this morning is alleging"

Sheez! And people complain when there's rumours about Brewster!

Pretty disgraceful speculation here IMHO  :rolleyes02:

  15. This is purely hypothetical...

    Gary Gillespie maybe?

ooh this has got me thinking!

I can see it now "leg's a bit sore, boss, but I'll try to play on"

" nah, son.  I never did.  Have half the season off to be safe"
