  1. So if it was a 4-5-1 away from home - who would the first choice be. Mine would be Barrowman becos he has more experience, more movement, a better first touch and he is a more natural goalscorer. My second choice would be Rooney as he is more mobile than Wood.

I?d like to see Rooney given a run of games ? he looks more hungry, does more running and links better with the wide players. Obviously, he?s not proven as a goalscorer, but neither is Barrowman.

In my view, Wood did much better than expected on Saturday and caused Celtic's defence some problems. He needs to work on his first touch though as too many times he got himself in a good position around the edge of the box but lost the ball by just failing to control it. He looked more assured once Rooney was on with him.

  2. Duff did enough when he got a run at the begining of the season for us to have confidence in him again.

He has also had a few howlers... but hopefully he will learn quickly, we really cant afford to give more goals away.

He seemed to do not badly on Saturday, albeit by the time he came on Celtic's attacking was a lot less threatening than it had been earlier on.

  3. Do they still change ends at half time at Gayfield? I remember having a good blether with (injured) Tokely in the burger van queue at half time, back in the day.

How many balls made it over the stand, onto the beach?

  4. Totally gutted.

I thought Bayne, Wilson, Duncan, Black were all outstanding, and everyone else played pretty well too. For me, the subs didn't help but I'm not sure bringing anyone else on would have made much difference. Celtic looked sharp at the beginning but less so as the game wore on and I don't think their subs made much difference either. That's part of what made it so hard to take - with 10 minutes left Celtic looked like they might be losing belief, errors crept in, some duff cross/shots, letting the ball slip out of play etc. I started to think it might be our day. In the end, I guess what the Celtic fans sung was (sadly) true - "that's why [they're] champions."

    What a sickener.
