  1. I'm probably a lone voice with this one but, albeit I understand the remit is to maximize revenue - and I guess our Board would take every penny on offer - but when it gets down to the semis I can't see the logic in automatically allowing the big club 75% of the ground. Both clubs arrive there on equal merit so the stands should be divided on that basis.

Personally I'd prefer an absolutely crammed McDiarmid that would be genuinely 50/50 but I'm pushing myself even further out on a limb.

  2. I like the idea of summer football - but there are other things that need addressed first if Scotland is to have anywhere decent, reasonably well-supported, professional football. If we can tackle the 3 issues Naelifts lists: Pricing, Stadia Layout, League Structure then it might not need the life support machine some are predicting. Bribing Celtic to leave us in peace and sticking a stake in Sevco's blue heart would also help...but that's just a personal view.

Anyway, regarding summer football, we just got soft. Open terracing, nylon anorak, soggy scarf wrapped around head...ah yes, there was a happy time before global warming...

  3. Our stands will be filled with middle-aged women expecting a hunky billionaire with rippled abs to come out the tunnel...

I don't think Hughes fancies Doran, for whatever reason, ... he maybe wants a bit more depth in there.

    ...er, you feeling ok Chris?

  4. Who has scored the most hat-tricks in our short history....and what is believed to be the best?

Alloa 0 ICT 6 (2002) Paul Ritchie and Dennis Wyness both grabbed 3.

I remember* we went back to Alloa in the same season and put 5 past them, including another Ritchie hat-trick. Also noteworthy for being a game in which we score 5 and Wyness didn't get one (and getting subbed!).

Imagine if we added a Wyness/Ritchie style combo to the current squad...oops, think I just wet myself!

*alright, I double-checked it on Soccerbase, but I was at the game...

  5. we could end up with a trip to the likes of Armenia or Azerbaijan - who share a border with Iran, or a trek to Kazakhstan who have a communal land border with China!

    Almaty, Kazakhstan...most easterly possible?

All hail the Almaty 4  :notworthy:

  6.

Granted, they did keep me hostage until 1:30am...but they were such great guys to chat with that it was far more of a pleasure than a pain to spend time with them...

Classic Stockholm Syndrome. Cannot condone payment of ransom money but as it was 'Pay What You Want' night I guess we got you back without troubling the petty cash too much?

  7. ... and jump about.

And there, in a nutshell, is why people have deserted Scottish football. Jammed into ridiculously small pails with the only jumping being done by hi-viz no-marks on their weekly outing to planet Powertrip.

Don't miss it if I'm honest. #bringbackterracing. (I have no idea what putting a hashtag in front of a nice wee slogan does but it must be something like a Santa wish-list.)
