I would be happy to get all the players to start the game then immediately sit down until time to restart after the other team score. Keep doing that until the board fire him.

So what if we lose 10 games in a row as long as we get a winner for a manager and not this numpty that gets fired from job after job as he fails to deliver.

The worst thing that could happen is if we continue 2nd win a cup or two as then we will be stuck with him as folk believe it was his doing.

Even Duncan Shearer gave us victories by playing the same team and tatics as Butcher, Hughes states he will not make changes as he knows that the players are the answer to him solidifying his position.

Right.. i'd guess by your avatar that you are really a County fan? Anyway, your post(if serious) is the act of a spoilt 13 yr old posted just before you throw toys out of big pram!

I would love us to stay 2nd and reach a final and I don't really care who does it, what you don't realise is that ICT are not a huge club and cant pay big wages, like some(maybe most) of these players we bring in are not on big money, rather very modest money in fact, and any that show promise will be off, likewise managers (as we have seen)if successful will be offski.

We need a manager who wants to be here and wants to succeed, and Hughes has stated that he is delighted to be in Inverness and see's the team needing very little or no change, but like it or not we require a manager at the helm as Shearer is not keen to be there any longer.

I'm giving him my support for sure, and if you are an ICT fan you will too.

No matter what happens this season I will never be behind Hughes.

If at the end of next season we do well then I will reconsider.

Do you doubt for one second that McKay will not be whisked away by an english cheque the moment the transfer window opens and he may not be the only one.

When that happens give it a few weeks and lets hear you all sing the same song of we are behind you

As to suggesting I am or ever have been a tinker from over the bridge then think again

Cutting ones nose to spite ones face?

If we finish 2nd and win a cup (or two as you mention) I will be abso-feckin-lutely delighted.  Surely that's John's job for this season?  You'd have him sacked for doing his job as well as we'd expect him to?

If we continue on winning form it will be absolutely nowt to do with Hughes capability but the fact that we have a decent team with high morale up until they heard his name as the new manager.

Shearer played Butchers team and tatics hence we continued winning.

Reckon he got the job because he was cheap, certainly not because he is competent :P :P

  4. As frustrating as it is to not know the final decision - one way or the other - I can understand why it is taking a while.

TB has to weigh up all the options and that involves not just him but also MM and SM potentially. If Hibs have agreed to offer all 3 a contract then there is 3 sets of compo to discuss if he accepts, if they dont want all 3 then TB has to consider whether going it alone is worth it (like Sydney !) and ultimately after weighing all that up or not he has to get the answer from his missus !!!

we need to be patient .... and on the plus side, he is not gone (yet!)

Scotty, I would tell you who will be in charge of ICT this time next week but last time I gave the forum inside knowledge re a manager change I was threatened with a ban ;)

  5. If we beat QOS and Dundee fail to beat Partick then we will only have to win 1 of our remaining 3 games to be champions, due to our vastly superior goal difference.

I'm assuming of course that County aren't going to win all 7 remaining matches!

County have too many fixtures so although technically possibe it will never happen

  6. Yes and he would be a great addition to the squad. Head and shoulders above Odhiambo and better than Sanchez - IMO. Certainly seems to have upped his workrate and lovely to see that flipover again.

Did you both watch the game doh !!

He scored a sitter & was hardly in the game.

He is well suited to there style of footie where falling over receives a penalty

  7. It depends greatly on where in Scotland you come from. Invernesians have a stronger feeling of historic engagements with the foe to the south whereas the lowlanders give less of a crap to their nationality having sat on the fence and in many cases joined the foe.

Being Scottish is always being the underdog, always rising to a challenge, always producing more in reality than on paper. Never say die fighting spirit.

Look at the national football team in the 1970's - some good players, yes but the fighting spirit to make brasil, holland etc. look average. Our failing is that we don't step up to the plate until our backs are against a wall.

  8. How do you know a dog is a man's best friend?

Well, lock your wife and your dog in the boot of your car for 3 hours, then let them out, and see which one is happier to see you.

Tried it and you're right :rotflmao:

  9. The level of negativity on this forum has reached new depths, cheers Brewster.

Does no-one think he's capable of ousting Boruc? He has a chance to prove his worth now on the big stage. Maybe he'll even be spotted by a big team.

His current managerial team don't believe in him otherwise they would not have sought out the american.

  10. I don't actually blame Fraser too much for the dropped ball, and of a mind that it should never have made it as far as him anyway.

If you watch the free kick we had a man break forward (fair enough), but then Duncan steps off the end of the wall, not only does he cover Frasers view (watch Fraser move to see around him) but he created the hole through which Boyd hit the ball.

I don't think anyone blames Fraser, He was thrown into the deep end on Mark's departure and shortly after that we started sufferering as our defence left also (Dodds)

Fraser is keeping nets with a weaker defence than Mark had. Given time Fraser could turn out to be a top keeper but youth & lack of confidence + a weak defence make his job and Esson's job all the more difficult.
