  1. MrAsterisk replied to Azgaz's topic in Caley Thistle
At long last folk are beginning to see through his inabilties
  2. I wouldn't bother IHE, absolute shocking game of football, worst I've been to in yrs And some folk are actually happy to have Hughes
  3. Right.. i'd guess by your avatar that you are really a County fan? Anyway, your post(if serious) is the act of a spoilt 13 yr old posted just before you throw toys out of big pram! I would love us to stay 2nd and reach a final and I don't really care who does it, what you don't realise is that ICT are not a huge club and cant pay big wages, like some(maybe most) of these players we bring in are not on big money, rather very modest money in fact, and any that show promise will be off, likewise managers (as we have seen)if successful will be offski. We need a manager who wants to be here and wants to succeed, and Hughes has stated that he is delighted to be in Inverness and see's the team needing very little or no change, but like it or not we require a manager at the helm as Shearer is not keen to be there any longer. I'm giving him my support for sure, and if you are an ICT fan you will too. No matter what happens this season I will never be behind Hughes. If at the end of next season we do well then I will reconsider. Do you doubt for one second that McKay will not be whisked away by an english cheque the moment the transfer window opens and he may not be the only one. When that happens give it a few weeks and lets hear you all sing the same song of we are behind you As to suggesting I am or ever have been a tinker from over the bridge then think again
  4. Cutting ones nose to spite ones face? If we finish 2nd and win a cup (or two as you mention) I will be abso-feckin-lutely delighted. Surely that's John's job for this season? You'd have him sacked for doing his job as well as we'd expect him to? If we continue on winning form it will be absolutely nowt to do with Hughes capability but the fact that we have a decent team with high morale up until they heard his name as the new manager. Shearer played Butchers team and tatics hence we continued winning. Reckon he got the job because he was cheap, certainly not because he is competent :P :P
  5. I would be happy to get all the players to start the game then immediately sit down until time to restart after the other team score. Keep doing that until the board fire him. So what if we lose 10 games in a row as long as we get a winner for a manager and not this numpty that gets fired from job after job as he fails to deliver. The worst thing that could happen is if we continue 2nd win a cup or two as then we will be stuck with him as folk believe it was his doing. Even Duncan Shearer gave us victories by playing the same team and tatics as Butcher, Hughes states he will not make changes as he knows that the players are the answer to him solidifying his position.
  6. Scotty, I would tell you who will be in charge of ICT this time next week but last time I gave the forum inside knowledge re a manager change I was threatened with a ban ;)
  7. Voted for Neil Lennon as I can never forgive him getting Juanjo sent off feining a head butt :008: although it will be McGhee
  8. No mention on their website.
  9. What a load of tosh If we win the title despite getting big bucks for promotion we will not improve the team at a financial cost - see previous years for evidence. Main priority will yet again be money in the bank
  10. County have too many fixtures so although technically possibe it will never happen
  11. Did you both watch the game doh !! He scored a sitter & was hardly in the game. He is well suited to there style of footie where falling over receives a penalty
  12. Any more news re Clach ?
  13. As much as I believe ICT should be at that meeting I can fully understand that they would see no value of having Craig Brewster at the meeting unless it was to serve the tea & coffee
  14. After todays game I can't see any argument in Esson starting our next few games but time will tell.
  15. Reprieve for Brewster
  16. I am delighted to get all 3 points sod a clean sheet as long as we keep winning
  17. All in all turning out to be an excellent day
  18. From todays game I would be happy to have Esson start the next games
  19. His current managerial team don't believe in him otherwise they would not have sought out the american.
  20. I don't think anyone blames Fraser, He was thrown into the deep end on Mark's departure and shortly after that we started sufferering as our defence left also (Dodds) Fraser is keeping nets with a weaker defence than Mark had. Given time Fraser could turn out to be a top keeper but youth & lack of confidence + a weak defence make his job and Esson's job all the more difficult.
  21. Fair statement. We can't expect Fraser to be a top class keeper as he is young and was still learning his trade when he was thrust into the limelight on Browns departure. He generally has more than accounted for himself but as last week showed still makes errors which are then compounded by lack of confidence. Esson is now being put into a similar situation that Fraser found himself in :thumb04: :018: good/bad hmmm tomorrow will tell but Fraser would most likely have been a liability as he would have little confidence and the defence would have little faith in him. Guess fingers crossed.
  22. I really don't know though, i'd have to see the wages on offer. Realisticly he couldn't have thought he would pip Boruc to the first team spot and I'd rather grab any chance of getting into the national team with both hands - to me thats the biggest honour any player can have. He'll probobly be on his way soon enough when his contract expires anyway.......so hopefully then he'll challenge for a place in the national squad. Too many move at the first prospect of big money and end up going into oblivion. Mark went to be no.2 and when the american arrives no.3. His future is in the past.
  23. You are bang on. When we played Celtic we lost. No-one called for anyone's head, no-one asked which players should be out the door in January, and why was that? It was because the team gave 100%, battled through the game and lost to the (arguably) better side on the day. On another day we might have won, or snuck a draw, but it didnt happen. Last week we basically laid down for Rangers and allowed them to do whatever they wanted. There was none of the heart, spirit or passion from the Celtic game and no apologies, just excuses. If we played every game like the Celtic game, we would be a lot higher up the table and win or lose we would be able to write screeds of positivity about our team ........ Scotty for our new manager
  24. I understand the man trying to save his job but surely from his comments how can he hold his job if we don't take 3 points from hibs
