  1. Fraser is the better of the 2 keepers, and will mature into a fine keeper. I agree that he should be dropped, as any mistake and he would be slaughtered. This is part of the steep learning curve of 1st team football.

Big chance for Esson, has not been a regular for a sometime, but has good experience. I hope he and all the team do well tomorrow, points are needed.

Fraser will return a better keeper.

Fair statement. We can't expect Fraser to be a top class keeper as he is young and was still learning his trade when he was thrust into the limelight on Browns departure. He generally has more than accounted for himself but as last week showed still makes errors which are then compounded by lack of confidence.

Esson is now being put into a similar situation that Fraser found himself in :thumb04: :rotflmao: :018: good/bad hmmm tomorrow will tell but Fraser would most likely have been a liability as he would have little confidence and the defence would have little faith in him. Guess fingers crossed.

  2. Clearly you would do what he did, even for that one game against S.Moscow last season!

I really don't know though, i'd have to see the wages on offer. Realisticly he couldn't have thought he would pip Boruc to the first team spot and I'd rather grab any chance of getting into the national team with both hands - to me thats the biggest honour any player can have. He'll probobly be on his way soon enough when his contract expires anyway.......so hopefully then he'll challenge for a place in the national squad.

Too many move at the first prospect of big money and end up going into oblivion. Mark went to be no.2 and when the american arrives no.3. His future is in the past.

  3. And while your right we cant realistically expect points it is the level of performance that irks people the most, when we lost at home to Celtic it wasnt all doom and gloom as the team performed as well as could be expected.

You are bang on. When we played Celtic we lost. No-one called for anyone's head, no-one asked which players should be out the door in January, and why was that? It was because the team gave 100%, battled through the game and lost to the (arguably) better side on the day. On another day we might have won, or snuck a draw, but it didnt happen. Last week we basically laid down for Rangers and allowed them to do whatever they wanted. There was none of the heart, spirit or passion from the Celtic game and no apologies, just excuses. If we played every game like the Celtic game, we would be a lot higher up the table and win or lose we would be able to write screeds of positivity about our team ........

    Scotty for our new manager

  4. Anyone read the highland news?

Found and interesting article on the back page. Final Brewster says something that I agree with!

He's saying that the officials have been making us drop points!

what do you all think about this!

If you had supplied a link to the article then I may have commented doh !!

  5. With 80% in favour of his departure how can they possibly give their vote of confidence, that said if they do so we only have to look at other managers that have been given a vote of confidence from the board. One further defeat and offski

  6. I find it ironic tht your name is WynessLegend... yes Wyness is a legend, but why was it again that he left? The initials CB come to mind. Tactical genius getting rid off our best scorer ever

Brewsters treatment of Wyness was shocking - he should still be here and our no. 1 Striker.

Rankin leaving - again Brewsters mismanagement of a player who'd still be here if it wasnt for Brew telling the press "he can go in January for the right price"........

Parky leaving - due to personal reasons....

Bayne - ok not the best striker in the world but could still be doing a better job than the VERY inexperienced strikers we have just now , NONE of which have any SPL experience / calibre - mismanagement again......

The team cant pass, keep the ball , they sit off teams too often and sit too deep under Mr Brewster. Some of the substitutions baffle me and im tired of taking the lead in games and end up losing them.

And the cherry on the top for me is BREWSTERS RECORD AT DUNDEE UNITED = why was he ever given a 2nd chance at this club..............? I was never for his re-appointment.

Hes had long enough to prove that hes NOT the man for the job - Please step aside Brewster

    Well said that man

  7. Brewster was an asset as a striker bringing folk like Dargo to believe in themselves. As a manager :rotflmao: Don't make me laugh. He couldn't manage a Pi$$ up in a brewrey. Never could never will. Don't fire him though, get a gun and shoot him.

  8. I'm not a big Brewster fan but did anyone honestly see us getting anything from this game? :rotflmao:

We expected to come away with our heads held high not intending to come away with our tail between our legs

Just nearly went 4 down to a boyd attempt :'( :'(

Correction we have gone 4 down

  9. :rotflmao: I was wondering how much longer fans would like Craig Brester to be given to sort this MESS up.

I say sack him asap but that is only my opinion which some fans might not agree with. He has been in game long enough to know that management is a results based business. His results at United were poor to say the least and he paid the price there so why not here!! Is it that Eddie Thompson was passionate about DUFC and couldn't put up any longer and that our board are not as passionate or is it a money problem?

Whatever it is my opinion is GET RID SOON, it worked for DUFC and look at them now.

Try not to criticise to much eh. :thumb04: :018: ;)

I think a lot depends where we are sitting around xmas, if we are sitting bottom I dont think the board will have much choice, however if we are anything better than bottom I dont think the club will get rid of him. The board have never had to sack a manager thus far and I dont think they will change that pattern in the near future

We brought him in first time as a striker/manager but second time it was an easy & cheap option. Time to correct a mistake made in haste and get someone with nounce

  10. I would say I am a big fan of McBain and love to see him do well, however, i'm sorry to say this season he has given us nothing, he is invisible in every game he plays in, apart from the aberdeen game at the beginning of the season which he did play well in to be fair.

I have managed to get to every game this season, and each game I have been accompanied by a different friend who are non caley fans but love football, so I think it's fair to say they are neutral and therefore can give a non-bias opinion when it comes to rating the Caley players. Every game every time I am asked the same question....why does brew play McBain?!

So I just wanted to see what peoples thought's were on this?

I trust when you refer to non caley fans in fact you refer to Thistle fans :rotflmao:

I trust you mean that these friends rate ICT players as that other team you refer to went out of business about 15 years ago :thumb04:

  11. As a former pupil, I took the opportunity to have a final look around the school last night as part of a 'nostalgia tour', before the demolition of it begins in a few weeks time.

Quite a surreal experience, seeing as I haven't set foot in the place since the day I left nearly 20 years ago! Evoked memories I didn't even know I had! Thing that got me was it smelt exactly the same, sounds weird but each floor of Millburn had a different smell, tech dept, science dept, etc and that hasn't changed!! :rotflmao: Had a peak into some of my old classrooms too and, apart from a change in colour, it was like a timewarp.

They also had team photographs from bygone years on display. Funny how you can still put a name to a face you haven't seen for 20 years ! :o

Or am I just getting old ? :thumb04:

You are just getting old :018: Never heard re demolition though

  12. As you say these clubs are in debt but they also have assets that are greater than their debts. I tend to agree that the wages & transfer fees are ridiculous but as long as a team is willing to pay then there is a team willing to sell. I guess with the new influx of money to Man City that things could increase in the short term as each of them try and secure a champions league position by the cheque book.

  13. Squad numbers came about when names started appearing on shirts. Too expensive and inconvenient to add names prior to each match when the team list is announced.

Fair point but still prefer the old way, stick the name on the shorts

  14. Most Leeds fans are benefit dodgers - why dont you just do the system in traditional Yorkshire style.

What about cleaning the toilets ?

Never done benefits in my life, and don't intend to start now. If cleaning toilets is the only job available to me and it earns me a living - i'll do it.

If you do that then you would put IHE out of a job
